Beautiful serene place. The temple is said to be siddha one which makes it very special. Located in ramnagar, a few minutes drive from fort. The artistic features on temple are very impressive.

Almost 500 years old temple of goddess durga. The Durga Mandir boasts of its fine stone works, which is a fabulous example of north Indian stone work arts. The temple has a huge square pond (Pushkarni) in front of it. Lack maintenance as it is still in control of Kashi King family.

Very royal and calm place. The place is also very vast with historical structures, a big pond and a beautiful road all around the way. The temple itself is very beautiful and stunning, looks ancient, feels like great temples of south india. There is very detailed texturing and various kind of designing on the temple with stone as the whole temple is made of stones. There are four gates, only one open to do worshipping. Gates also look very giant and great.

This temple is situated in Ramnagar, Varanasi. Its an ancient temple built around 500 years ago. It is believed that Banaras King of that time got this temple constructed. People worship Maa Durga in this temple. It is said that once Britishes wanted to demolish this temple and they fired bullet on this temple. Still one can see the three spots of their bullet on the top of this temple. Every year local residents play Ramleela for over a month near Ramnagar. Temple is very beautifully constructed using stones.

Temple is a private property of Raja, very restricted access available to public. Timings are odd and mostly remains closed in day time. No entry inside garbh griha hence you can't see the deity at all. Better to avoid visiting.

I believe this temple represented our historical event in the form of a statue on it. I find a series of idols that represent Hindu events like (gajendra moksha, varaha roop of Vishnu, Shri Krishna's Virat roop) and many more. I request the trusty or government please allow us to visit the temple and please remove those wire fencing. It can destroy the temple. 🙏

I have been to many places and many temples. But I haven't visited a temple as alive as this place. Every breath of air inside this place is divine. There is a small Chinnmastika Mandir in the back, the feeling of Maa Chinnmastika cannot be explained in words. If you're looking for answers and you want to explore it on your own, visit this temple.

From a historical point of view, I like the place even just looking at it from the outside. But, they never allowed to let me in just because I look like a Chinese. Even though I showed my aadhar card, they said that it's fake. Even though I explained it in Hindi language, they still don't believed it. There are a bunch of low-educated impolite people visiting the place, I don't recommend it for foreigners.

Waste of of time, money and energy. Although it is a very old temple but It has no idol inside. Hence, no matter how old a temple is, it has no significance without an idol, it's just a structure now. You can definitely skip this one from your plan.

This is a very old Durga temple. This temple was built during the times of kings. The british tried to blow up this temple with cannon but nothing happened to the temple.

A offbeat destination, not so far from Ramnagar fort. Easily reachable by local transport (auto). The temple is very old (apprx 500 years) and very well maintained. The surrounding areas are also scenic.
