I haven't had Jim's for over 20 years. So when the wife and I went back to Millville for the holidays. We had to get some burgers all the way. And had to say we were not disappointed at all. Still had the same great taste that we remembered from years ago.

Love the consistency, the nostalgia, the fact that they remember my face even though I live out of state now and haven’t been able to enjoy it in years! I was able to bring one of my daughters to enjoy Jim’s for the first time and she LOVED IT! We had a burger with everything, highly recommended and a hot dog with everything also recommended! I must also add that their french fries are always perfectly done! And cheese on the side is the best way to order their cheese fries. Also wanted to add, I chuckled at the sign that said “milkshakes are only available of your server has time” because anyone who has ever been a server knows that making milkshakes definitely throws off your timeliness especially for other tables! I appreciated the honesty (and as a server at heart, I appreciated the fact that they have the option to say we just can’t do that right now! I LOVE IT! 😂👏🏼👏🏼) The only thing that I wish was better was the rice pudding. It definitely tasted different than it has for all those years- my mom agreed as well. I don’t know of they changed the recipe or we just caught it on a day that someone made it wrong but I hope it was the second explanation. Jim’s lunch always had bomb rice pudding!

Great breakfast, especially the sausage. Nice, old school diner that's been run by the same family in the same location for 99 years.

Jim's Lunch in the heart of Millville is not just any old restaurant or diner, it is a South Jersey institution. You may have heard of the famous baseball player, Mike Trout. He hails from Millville and now plays for the Anaheim Angels. He also loves Jim's Lunch and gets their hamburgers when he is back home or has his mom or sister pick them up for him. There is even a sign on the wall that says "#27 Mike Trout is our Angel on High Street". Mike loves Jim's Lunch and so do those from the Holly City. Jim's Lunch has been around for about 94 years and is still family-owned. I could tell during my most recent visit that was Rochelle was in charge and she was running the place. She called out the orders and kept all the other staff on their toes and the orders coming. The staff wears maroon shirts with the name written in cursive and the feel of Jim's is classic and like it stopped in time. The smells from the grill fill the establishment and the chatter and action adds character. As you enter the restaurant from High Street, you will see the patties and wieners on the grill loaded with cheese and the freshly cut chopped onions on the side. There is an old-fashioned register and they only take cash. If you need to get cash, there is an ATM inside. You seat yourself and can sit at the counter on one of the stools or grab a booth in the main room or back dining room. Rochelle did a great job too of coordinating and telling people where to sit when something opened up. I placed my order on the phone and waited a few minutes when I arrived. I enjoyed watching all of the action and cooking and yelling. Your burgers and sandwiches are served on piece of waxed deli paper and the sauce just runs all over the paper. I also like how the glass paper weights from nearby Wheaton Village hold the waxed paper in place on the counter as the beef is grilling. The sauce is the famous ingredient made from the family recipe and you can dip your food in it and enjoy it on the burgers and cheesesteaks and wieners. When you order wit "everything" , that means mustard, onions and the famous sauce. Jim's Lunch also serves breakfast and from my last visit a few years ago, the rice pudding was delicious. My cousins love their fries too and Jim's does it all right. If you in Millville , you have to come here at least once. I highly recommend the fried chicken and the sides are all homemade. The season is Columbus Day through Memorial Day and closed on Sunday. Millville locals honor the opening day as if it were a holiday and I can see why. Get your double cheeseburger wit sauce and fries and a bunch of napkins. You will love it.

Enjoyed a real turkey dinner lunch at Jim's Lunch in Millville on pre-Memorial Day Friday. They were closing for the season the next day due to no AC and will reopen in October. Our waitress has already procured another job. Entree has gone up $1. from printed menu. Tasty and delicious. Fun old style eatery with neighborly atmosphere. Park in the lot adjacent. Seated ourselves at a booth and were greeted and served quickly. Cashier fixed an overcharge. They take credit cards but cash tips only.

While I still appreciate the nostalgic charm of Jim's Lunch, I have to admit that the food wasn't quite as good as I remember it being. The cheeseburgers and fries were decent, but there was something missing in terms of flavor and quality. However, I was impressed by the owner's dedication to improving the restaurant and her willingness to take bold steps to address the issues. During our conversation, the owner mentioned that they were trying to improve the quality of the bread and sauce to enhance the flavor and quality of the food. She even said they were willing to do whatever it takes to improve the menu and win back their customers' loyalty. Overall, while my experience at Jim's Lunch wasn't quite as satisfying as I had hoped, I appreciate the restaurant's efforts to adapt and improve in these challenging times. I hope that they are able to overcome the obstacles they're facing and once again become the best. Love this place I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Love this place! First time here and I've loved in NJ my whole life. I recommend coming here! Great food, great service, great friendly atmosphere. I recommend the Ham and Cabbage.

It’s definitely not a fancy place but the atmosphere is friendly. The food was excellent. I had a steak sandwich and it was off the hook with a great portion of good steak meat and a real good roll. A must for anyone in the area

I went the last day they were open for the season, tasty food fast and friendly service. Unfortunately it felt like it was 100 degrees inside. Can't wait for the fall

Been coming here for 59 years, And it's still my favorite place to come and get a double cheeseburger French fries or onion rings and the people are always wonderful. When I was a child Jim would offer us hot chocolate Cocoa drinks While we would watch the parades go by for Thanksgiving and Christmas. What great memories that bring joy to my heart and a smile on my face.

Really friendly staff, old world diner feel, good basic food. I liked the clam chowder and the lobster bisque. Good onion rings and fried clams.....nice portions! Ran out of rolls for cheese steaks, but they looked good. It's what I'll have next time!

Old fashioned luncheonette with the owner behind the counter. We all had the cheeseburgers with the famous "sauce". Because it is kind of indescribable, our waitress brought us a few french fries with the sauce to dip in and taste before ordering. It was great! Kind of like spicy brown gravy with maybe some old bay? Just a guess! Burgers served on a portugese roll on a sheet if wax paper. Fun, sloppy and delicious!

Edit for 9/8/23: they were closed?? Stopped here for late lunch today, our first time. Very friendly folks. Very clean. My choice off the menu was out of stock today, so switched to a steak sandwich, with their special gravy and cooked onions. Ice tea. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Very filling. Comfortable atmosphere.

We've only been in twice. If you go in around lunch time it is going to be crowded. We sat at the counter and our server was very accommodating allowing us plenty of time to go over the menu before ordering. It's an interesting place to visit and have a good burger. It's not fancy but decent. If you get a burger make sure you get the "sauce" put on it. We even had some of their homemade rice pudding. They make their rice pudding different in that it's baked in the oven. That's the way it's done down south. The rice puddings typically made in this area are a creamy style. Now down south, we would refer to JIM'S LINCH as a "greasy spoon", but that's not a bad thing. It's a "mom and pop" type burger shop.

Very old and popular business that has been around close to a hundred years I believe. Mike Trout has been there on several occasions. A old time place to go eat and enjoy. Prices are good. I had no problems with getting a seat. Plenty to choose from. Clean establishment.

I never knew.. I lived in Cumberland County nearly all my life. How could I have missed this place. The food is delicious and if you follow me then you know that I rate customer service because to me it outweighs the ratings of flavor.. so, if you want to fell like family (and I’m black the owners are white) here is the place to visit rather you are down on your luck or the richest ALL ARE WELCOMED.. I simply love it here

Food is OK. Register has a LAMINATED CARD that says credit card machine is broken. Right. So they make money on the ATM fees and they fudge the numbers like all cash businesses. Unethical at the register makes me wonder how ethical they are in the kitchen. I won't be back

3 burgers and 3 dogs, 1 small french fry and 2 iced teas $51.00... what... and very little flavor. Nothing served on plates, just on waxed papers. Nothing was really hot. Sad I must say, to hear that everyone goes there and I have to try it... Well I did and was quite disappointed. This is a one and done for me.

Love the atmosphere. Cheese steak with the special sauce was okay when it first came out. I ate half at the restaurant and the other half later that evening. The steak was much better after it sat for a while.

Looks great! Been wanting to try. Took the hour drive out there and just missed them after they closed. Ended up getting some disappointing pizza around the corner. Just wish they were open later. Will update review at some point when I catch them open

👍👍 About as stereotypical of a New Jersey diner as you can get. Fast service, diner food. Massive plate of chicken fingers and fries (with a couple onion rings for good measure). Open-face Reuben sandwich (yes, ask for the coleslaw and pickle) - could have done better with more meat but overall tasty C...
