Small beach with nice welcoming sand.. and the Cold Atlantic ocean 🤦😂 Being on this side of the coastline, this beach is fed by the Benguela current which is driven by the prevailing south easterly trade winds- in other words, lots of cold water- First time you dip your toes in, the cold is quite a shock 😊 Beautiful panoramic views of Table Mountain, the city of Cape Town and Robben Island- pretty impressive. Sunny weekends tend to be pretty crowded on this beach tho- parking might be a task. Luckily, the city initiative helping with tagging children for easy identification of any missing kids were out in force and quite visible- 5 stars for that. 👍👍

Very peaceful and beautiful at this beach. The only problem here is the polluted water exiting into the ocean. Not a pretty sight. I hope they do something about this soon

this an amazing spot to pop by after work. winter sunsets are super beautiful round 6pm, and summer late afternoons are fabulous until sunset at 8pm. watch out for inconsiderate dog owners who have their dogs off-leash. there can be a slight party vibe in the parking area at times, depending on whether someone has their car windows when parked.

Lovely piece of beach. There are decent restaurants in the vicinity with shaded parking for those sunny days. There is an actual lagoon that will be enjoyable for children. The parking is limited and there are no toilets nearby.

Most beautiful sunsets, very unique area where the sea comes into the Lagoon.

Clean beach with soft sand. First time there. Will definitely go back. Small secure parking lot right next to the beach so your car is visible to you depending on how far you go and where you parked. Parking is free. There are lights at night - those yellow/orange ones so not that high visibility but good enough to see. Security vehicle did pass by so there is that should anything happen.

It's a lovely relaxing beach with great uninterrupted views of Table Mountain. Swimming is not recommended here because of the pollution and rip currents, but that doesn't stop people from entering the water on hot days. And in that sense it's ideal because the water is very cold and only the very brave can tolerate for a long period anyway. While the beach looks great, it can get very windy here, giving you a free mouthful of sand. If that is the case, take a walk around the hotel and there are some seating areas somewhat sheltered from the wind. It's a wonderful place to watch the sunset and you also see Robben Island from the shore. The river runs into the ocean which creates a lovely little area which is popular with kids. Parking is a bit limited.

If you're looking for spectacular sunsets to photograph, I'd suggest checking out the beautiful stretch along the beach. The mountains in the background make for a great canvas.

The people are exceptional human being but like most things the facilities are not upto scratch. The City needs to invest more into its communities facilities an learn the values behind the Bathu Pele principle.

Lazy Summer Sunday afternoon spent well. Lagoon Beach is one of my favourite places to chill and splash. Full view on Table Mountain and the blazing Sun on the horizon.
