I was excited to stay here, but that excitement was gone after my first few hours. I've been here for 21 hours and have already been moved to 3 different rooms, and have actually moved my stuff 4 times as they put me back in a room I was already in, until the power failed in the room yet again 1. The room wasn't ready at check-in time because "the previous guests made such a mess of the room" 2. The AC was not working in the room 3. There are no bedside tables, you have to put your things on the floor by the bed 4. There was one chair outside on the patio, no soap in the room, no forks, no knife, one plate, one bowl 5. The power went off for 4.5 hours my first day there, which was not related to loadshedding. 6. The sink in the bathroom was clogged 7. The AC went out 4 times in the first day after getting it "fixed" 8. The power went off again in my room the next morning, again, while every other room and the rest of the hotel had power

The Hotel is nice but not 4 Stars quality. I will commend them on the security in this hotel, it was very professional. I will say the room was OK but the linen was not good quality and felt very rough to me. The rug was dirty and needed washing. I have been around the world and 4 Star hotels provide more services to their guests. I arrived and could charge my devices in the room. I was in Singapore and they provided a cellular phone for me to utilize while in country and here I could not get an adapter for my phone installed in the room. I know people routinely visit from other countries, it would seem logical to adapt your ideals to accommodate other customers needs. My room had a key lock on the inside and the outside of the room. No thumb release. Incase of a fire I would have to find the key and insert it to escape my room, not very safe. I also must comment on the planned loss of power twice during my stay. First we were not informed about the power going off in the night but it woke me up. So I called the desk and they lied to me and said the country shut off the power but the lights in the mall and surrounding buildings were still energized. This caused me to not be able to work from my room for three hours. And my room got extremely hot without air conditioning. The second time happened 2 days later and then I was told the truth, the building was testing their automatic breakers for their generator in the basement. We were still not informed about the testing until I called own to ask about it. A 4 STAR hotel would be much more informative then simply doing what they want. Lastly, the restaurant is OK but not great. I went for breakfast at the buffet, I got my food and I was waiting for my omelet to be made, when the waitress told me she would bring my food to the table for me. After 15 minutes I got up and discovered they made a mistake and gave all of my food to someone else. My friends were almost finished breakfast and I had to start all over again. The price is ok but I got a lot more food and much better quality at the Hardrock Cafe for less money. I do not recommend the restaurant unless it is raining outside and you just want to stay inside.

NB Edit: THE RESPONSE BY THE HOTEL THAT THEY HAVE CONTACTED ME IS FALSE. Nobody contacted me, the last was the GM who visited the room and said he was too busy to see me, nobody ever contacted me once this review was sent despite 3 emails from my side engaging with them(no response). STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Do not stay! Lovely location, with huge potential but not being maintained. During a 6 night stay maintenance were in our unit daily. Attempted to reach out to GM who came to see me after 2 days, told me that he was ‘too busy’ to see me on day 1 (own staff witnessed him tell me this) and didn’t answer his phone when staff called him 1. Toilets in the room leak/drip the entire night keeping you awake. Maintenance kept trying to resolve but eventually we couldn’t use the toilet. 2. All Rooms are not climate controlled as claimed on website, some do not have Aircon’s. 3. Aircon did not work, resulting in my child getting sick due to the cold weather. Maintenance tried daily to fix and promised shall be fixed daily. 4. General issues: microwave did not work, tv table falling over, dirt under beds, no communication on delayed towels almost daily. Front office, housekeeping and maintenance staff/managers really tried their best but with no support of management. Do yourself a favour and skip this place.

Expected a little more from my room,as the reception area is breathtaking!!! Good experience nonetheless

Towels, toilet paper...you had to ask and remind for basics. I contribute to the label "luxury" a bit more service and attention to detail. The welcome letter still asks you to wear a mask... staff is friendly and I guess tries hard, but that is not enough.

The hotel is strategically located in the Century City. However, it’s not a pleasant staying experience, especially for business purposes. Good: Staff behaviour, Scenic Canal view from rooms. Bad: Cape Town faces regular planned power outages. This hotel has no power backup, not even for the WiFi. There’s no dining facility and they rely on Marriott for providing breakfast facilities. There’s no swimming pool or gym that we can go to. I’m gonna stay a longer due to business reasons and hope services improve here. Edit 1: The power back up is on starting 1 February. Better place to stay now. Will consider for my next trip too.

My experience was not that great sadly... When I checked in I was advised there's is no bedding and towels for my room. Patio and main bedroom windows didn't lock. Rooms were not cleaned properly. Love the area but it will be difficult for me and my family to return to the Residence. Rooms are nice and spacious, but our rooms were not cleaned properly. Century city perfect located.

Currently staying at this hotel. What a struggle to get towels. Previous day we had to ask for towels 4 times. Brought us towels at 20:00 after we had to ask again.. It is now the next day 16:00 and yet again I had to go ask for towels. Still nothing. Told me that the towel services are outsourced. What a joke.

Limited TV channels. 4 of the same channels. Not even SABC is available. Asked reception, they not sure. Several basic things in the apartment. No plugs next to bedside. No bedside lamps. Requested for blankets on day 2. Never arrived. Expected more for this accommodation facility.

The location is fantastic, with stunning views of Table Mountain and the city. The apartments are spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable stay. The amenities, including the spa, gym, and on-site restaurants, are top-notch. The rooms are nothing short of exceptional. They are well-appointed, spacious, and exude modern luxury. The attention to detail in the room design is evident, from the comfortable furnishings to the tasteful decor. The large windows provide breathtaking views of either Table Mountain or the city skyline, making each moment spent in the room a visual delight. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms are impeccable. The in-room amenities are thoughtful and convenient, and the availability of a kitchenette in some rooms is a great addition.

I give 5 stars for all, the location is great next to Canal walk shopping mall. The view is beautiful, and space is big in the room. I booked one studio, and two bed rooms aprtarment. Really enjoy it.

Pros: 🔹️Perfect location 👌 2 mins walk to Canal Walk. 🔹️ Good Security and ample parking available. 🔹️Amazing views ! Cons : 🔹️ excuses about house keeping therefore rooms not ready from 2pm check in and towels not available on time because another excuse provided about their laundromat supplier. This seems to be the trend and sad to see this issue is not yet sorted out. 🔹️Cutlery, dishes & drinkware - terrible condition. How does your housekeeping staff clean these items ? With a blindfold ? Plates are sticky and still quite dirty. Wine glasses looked like they been used and placed back into the cupboard. I would look into this and attend to asap because clearly it's not done. 🔹️It's definitely not a 5 star hotel so maybe change the hotel rating to be more appropriate to the quality. 🔹️Bed in the room is in bad condition. Seems to be a sponge placed on top of springs. Seriously? 🔹️Quite noisy with other doors slamming and closing.

We had great stay at the Residents over the weekend. The apartment was luxurious, spacious and had an awesome view too. I must commend Dale and Savior for their professionalism and efficient, friendly service. A huge asset to Crystal Towers. Thank you. Will definitely stay over again..

No electricity in rooms during loadshedding . Rooms could be cleaner Bed and couch was too soft, didn't enjoy my experience there at all especially from such a brand.

The only thing is checking out is tricky as you have to take out your car to drop and go zone where it had limited space. Underground packing there is security only at the boom gate.

The short experience was Desturbing. Was left traumatized. The uncomfortable events that followed forced me to check out almost immediately and book a room at another hotel.I felt sick to my stomach that I paid to be insulted, humiliated and that my partner had to witness the horror which what was supposed to be a romantic night out.I'm not even going to bother to demand a refund for fear of having to recall the vile treatment I suffered.

Sitting without electricity for 4 hours. Since check in. This was not conveyed to us. When asking reception all the lady says she doesn't know. Not she is contact with coc and they trying to resolve the issue. No communication from the host. Not very professional.

No loadshedding contingencies. Spent all night and all morning without electricity. Not even a bloody candle on the room. Very sad I thought this place was meant to be a bit upmarket. Terrible Terrible stay.

We had room 408. Nice location next to Canal Walk shopping center, nice view towards the Atlantic and Boland. The interior is somewhat worn, carpets threadbare in places. Chipped furniture. Doors and windows that can't lock anymore. Kitchen cupboard front missing and it's hinges held with cableties. Fuzzy TV reception. Slow wifi. The showers are great; bathrooms with heated towel rails and underfloor heating. Airconditioning in the living room and main bedroom, but they are a real necessity with the winter sun blasting in. Laundry really well arranged with the nearby laundromat. Right next to the elevator is a Hussar's Grill, which is excellent. All said I think it was value for money, but the apartment seems to be on a downward trend.

Residence side it's okay, not woow as the place is not clean. Cleaners don't mop the floors there is hair and dust everywhere. Jason at front desk is amazing always willing to help and super friendly. ❤️ The 3 stars it's mainly for his service. The place is convinient and overlooks a beautiful scenary, but God it's super dirty even the windows have dust for the whole year, blocking the beauty of century city.

Honestly i love the Residence so it's really disappointing that I have to write this review cause I had a very good experience on my first booking. Which is the reason I came back but they dropped the standard: my sliding door could not lock, no bed side stand had to use a chair, TV and plugs in odd place, I asked for blankets they didn't reach me, I wanted to use the entertainer I was told the price would double if i use it (not on their terms &conditions at all i checked) ..the chairs are peeling off and old...really i could go on. I even complained but I was told your something is invaluable to us. And this is such a beautiful place guys I just don't understand why ruin it ..like if i got my blankets at least I would have swallowed in the commentary and not review at all but this was just a lot.

Loved it here! The Apartments are huge and spacious. The staff attended to my every request. I'll definitely be staying here the next time I'm in Cape Town again. Just a tip: Book for breakfast at the Marriott.

After Front Desk's bad service on arrival, the Duty Manager came to the rescue and checked us in @ 15h00 and apologised. Nice, big and clean apartment
