I had the opportunity to spend a weekend training at White Lotus and can’t say enough about the quality of this academy. Josh’s style is clean and smooth while Meghan’s is creative and dynamic. The instruction is technical while also including important Jiu Jitsu concepts for all levels. I have traveled and trained in many academies; Josh and Meghan have created a welcoming and inclusive space and I will absolutely be back!

I’ve known Josh and Meghan for a couple years now and have trained with them several times. This was my first trip to White Lotus and I can honestly say they have built a beautiful academy. The training is solid with fun yet competitive rolling. I highly recommend anyone going to or through Milwaukee stop in and train.

I’ve traveled around the world to 50+ gyms. This is hands down one of the best training environments I’ve ever been in. Everyone is kind, skilled and very welcoming. Not sure what the one bad review guy has against the gym but his review is a load of bs this is a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Josh and Meghan are excellent instructors and great ambassadors of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. If you are in the area, this is a great place to drop in. The atmosphere is amazing and you can do more than just train here!

I am so fortunate to have started my bjj journey through Josh and Meghan back in 2021. They have taught me how to develop my own technique that works for my body, rather than a “one size fits all” approach. Josh is incredibly technique heavy and Meghan’s style will force you to think outside the box. They foster an environment that ensures safety and positivity, creating a wonderful community that reaches internationally. No matter your background or physique, they make jiu jitsu approachable and fun! I can’t thank these two enough for everything they’ve done for me, on and off the mats. If you ever have the pleasure of coming to this gym, you’re in for an adventure with lifelong friendships!

Had the pleasure to meet Meghan one the owners of this establishment. She taught a couple of my friends and they loved their time here at the White Lotus! I’m very shy and not a people person but they took their time to make me feel comfortable!

I met Josh at a BJJ Globetrotters camp last year and really was impressed with the techniques and his approach to teaching. I signed up for his winter camp and made my first trip to Milwaukee. It was hands down a great gym, a great experience with great instructors. I would highly reccomend this as a world class opportunity for anyone who is serious about the sport of BJJ and how those skills can impact your life. Meghan and Josh are amazing people and I hope you don't miss a chance to roll with some of the best.

Visited this gym for the first time recently and it was a great place for BJJ. Amazing owners who actually care about their students along with a great atmosphere, what more could you ask for? Facilities were clean and centrally located in Milwaukee. Be sure to check them out!

Got the chance and am still enrolled in this bjj school, great school and very welcoming. My first day and even second I was able to roll with both the owners and some high belt level students. Everyone had a teacher instinct but noone overstepped their boundaries!! The coaches josh and megan are very in tune with our(white lotus jiu jitsu students) progress and are always looking on ways to improve you as a whole. They have set times that work for someone even as busy as a student!! Ive never felt more comfortable going into a combat sport in my life, the environment there is like being with your own family! Happy to be apart of this team, Defenitley recommend enrolling in white lotus jiu jitsu

White Lotus is a very inviting and a nonjudgmental place to work out in. The owners are creative and they actually listen to what their members want. I highly recommend this place if you’re considering or want a change in Jiu Jitsu places. It’s a great gym! ❤️

White Lotus is an amazing academy, they developed an uncommon system to deconstruct Jiu Jitsu and teach it in ways where the explanation of the technique is really deep, is great for all levels and styles, the coaches Meghan and Josh are constantly attending seminars to bring back the latest knowledge over this beautiful martial art. Is a great environment for people with zero experience in any martial art, but is also a great place for advance grapplers who wants to sharpen their techniques and acquire new perspectives of the latests systems used in high level competitions. the facilities are always clean and they have nights where they stream the main tournaments of the best athletes in the world. Overall I have nothing but love and respect for this academy, they are always welcoming, and not zealous of sharing knowledge to students from other academies.

I came in from out of town to train while on business and couldn't have felt more welcome. Josh's gym is such a great atmosphere and great vibes all around. The training partners were skilled and respectful and eager to learn. Great mix of technique and rolling time in each class. I'll absolutely be coming back next time I'm near Milwaukee. A++

I travel the world and train Jiu Jitsu full time. White Lotus is full of amazing people loving life through Jiu Jitsu. No matter how much experience you have, you will appreciate the Jiu Jitsu in the environment that they have created here. Clean place with a lounge, natural light, plants, changing rooms, and wonderful people. Thank you guys for creating such a beautiful space! I look forward to visiting again in the future!

Been training at White Lotus since early 2023. I’ve gotten my blue belt under Josh and Meghan and needless to say it has been a privilege to study under them. This gym isn’t about ego or proving anything but focuses on your growth in BJJ. A big part of this gym is also not just regurgitating techniques but during class we dive into exploring with partners and groups. We share what we’ve found and have a chance to work what each group brought back. The most interesting thing that comes of this is trying to break new problems that people show. Above all, if you want to learn what the art offers to you and have a fun time doing so, come check us out!

White Lotus is a really great place to learn BJJ. I’ve been doing BJJ for about 18 years and have come to appreciate training environments that focus on fun and learning. Josh and Meghan both have really cool insights into BJJ and have a lot to share. The students that I met were all kind and welcoming which was pretty great. If you are into positive vibes and fun training then this is the place for you.

I have known Josh and Meghan for years and was so happy when they decided to open their gym. I have been here twice now for Gentle Arts Lifestyle Camp and plan to continue to try to make it out here at least once a year. Josh is a thoughtful and competent instructor who is constantly improving not only is Jiu Jitsu application and understanding but also his teaching ability. I have watched him take areas of his game that were weaknesses and make them into strengths. I consider him a respected peer and friend. Meghan is one of the most unique Jiu Jitsu practitioners I have met in my travels. She is immensely creative and has managed to share her unique approach with her students. I got to train with her and her students this weekend and the impact she has made with her creative control points and movement based style makes both her and them a fun and unique puzzle to solver when training. White Lotus is not your normal BJJ gym and that's the point. If you want to come and have a recreation of ADCC finals this is not the gym for you. However, if you want to have a thoughtful discussion about technique and solid fun rolls with people who care about your health and safety, this just may be your thing.

It's marketed as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but being real, it's closer to Aikido, the martial art that is more akin to magic. He (Josh) is about making submissions "clean," as in no resistance. That being said, the owner, Josh, doesn't roll, unless he knows he can beat you in sparring. His girlfriend Meghan, also cannot roll because any weight on her knees is too much; however, she can still teach classes. Compound that with the constant ducking Josh does towards rolling. One day it's his knees, then shoulders, He'd still do warm ups though. This is a gym you train at if you want to learn akido, you'll never be pressure tested, and you'll never know if what you've learned is capable of self defense. I'm sorry for you.
