😐 So I will admit growing up in the south I am a harsh judge of smoked meats...that said, the ribs were well done. Good smoke, a chew and some good rub. However, the chopped brisket was a disaster. No smoke ring, bland flavor and just dry. Sorry Pat but this was just not brisket "cue" People often mention ribs, sauce, great, brisket, Pat', tips, good, bone, fries, meat,

I'm pretty picky about BBQ, having lived in North Carolina and Texas for much of my life. As such, I generally keep my expectations low when trying a BBQ joint for the first time. I ordered four ribs, envisioning having them as an appetizer before dinner. When I opened the container, I was very surprised by the size of the serving. The smell was fantastic, and the meat fell off the bone tender. These are the best ribs I've had since moving north! I highly recommend trying Pat's and bring an appetite!

Good place for great food. Got the ribs and their fries for myself. Fries were a little too salty but the ribs were absolutely fantastic! Super tender, fall off the bone. And their house sauce was a perfect combination. Definitely would recommend. And worth wading through the crowds in the Public Market to get some food here.

The pulled pork sandwich and fries are fantastic! We also of course had some ribs and those were so incredibly tender and fell off the bone. Great spot, definitely had me looking up if they had a stand-alone location.

2 cons - Not consistent in quality and boiled ribs. The first time, I got a half pound of tips. My wife got pulled pork sandwich. The ribs were chopped nicely. Thin cut (mostly between 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch) and finger length in size. I'm not a big fan of pre-boiled rips. The sauce was nice (I got it on the side) and a good portion for the price. Pulled pork was actually pulled and not chopped. Enough meat to make a 2nd half sandwich. Unfortunately, my wife was not sharing but she says it was great. The "smoked" fries are just seasoned fries 😑. 4 stars because everything was good enough that I went back in for a pound of tips to take home. Came back a week later, not so good. Got a pound of hard, dry tips. The whole box was full of pieces that fly off after chopping a full slab. Some were small, cubed like. Other pieces were loose meat, hard and curled over with no bone. Had to throw most of it away 😩. 3 stars total due to it being hit or miss on quality. Also, part of the staff seemed like they'd rather have the day off. Which is fine, just is a bit off putting when ordering food to eat. I felt like I was being a bother by saying "I'd like a half pound of tips with fries" 😕 Edited: 2 stars. Once again almost all scrap meat pieces. Balled over and quickly drying out. Where are the long middle cuts of the slab? Where are the whole pieces with bone? I have 4 pieces that are whole and they are end pieces. This was a pound 😑. I'm done with Pat's. Hope your experience is better than mine.

Pat's Rib Place is absolutely amazing. While Kansas City, Memphis, Carolina and Texas all hold amazing BBQ accolades - Pat's might be in a category of its own. The pulled pork sandwich might be the best I've ever had and being able to see the work of BBQ smoking right in front of you, you're guaranteed that everything just fell off the bone moments before. The sauces here are out of this world. Pat's House Sauce might be the best BBQ sauce I've ever had and the amount of delicious options are at your convenience to try. If you live in downtown Milwaukee, or are visiting the 3rd Ward and Public Market - I would highly, highly recommend getting to Pat's. The staff is also amazing. Super friendly, very helpful and fast!

I have not seen my boys eat so much in a long time. Hey Buddy take a pic- “NO! Too good!” I agree. They had Mac n cheese bites, sweet potato fries (be sure to ask for the brown sauce) and 4 ribs. So much fall off the bone goodness with amazing rub. Do you like BBQ? Good because you’re going to LOVE Pat’s!

I finally stopped by and tried the rib tips... WORTH EVERY PENNY! So tender and flavorful, barely clinging to the bone... They were so good. I had the Chefs signature Mad Dog Hot Sauce. It's just so yummy. I'm really diggin' it! I bet the brown sugar one is amazing... Next time... The employee I dealt with was friendly and we enjoyed a chuckle together as some kids played in the line. GO GET SOME HIGH QUALITY BARBECUE FROM PAT'S!

I usually keep my expectations low for BBQ, but this place was fantastic! Very generous portions. Had the rib tips with their original sauce and my friend had the ribs with their spicy sauce. Their original sauce was super tasty but was a bit too sweet for me. Overall really good place and would order again when I’m in Milwaukee!

Food: 3/5 (great tips with smoke, just sat out too long) Service: 4/5 (grateful for the help of the menu) Atmosphere: 4/5 (crowded area, but lovely vibe) Pat's Rib Place in The Milwaukee Market was just what I needed after a long day. The Milwaukee Market has so many options, but Pat's Rib Place stands out as I smelled lovely smoke. I ordered Rib tips with sauce on the side. The food and sauces are amazing, but the tips were a little dried out as they possibly sat out top long. However, the food, service, and atmosphere were great! The servers were great, as they helped me with the menu. All in all, great experience and good smoky meats at Pat's Rib Place. 💨

Instant favorite, holy cow! The brisket was fatty, moist, flavorful, and smokey and the barbecue sauce that I got (Alisha's special) was so sweet, just enough spice, and a little smokey as well. The coleslaw was incredible and I usually do not like coleslaw. It wasn't smashed with mayo, it had a nice mustard flavor in it. This place is my new favorite in the third ward!

My husband got food here during our visit to MPM. He got the smoked beef brisket sandwich and declared it “exceptional.” The special sauce added a lot of great flavor to what was already fantastic brisket. And the side of Mac and cheese bites….phenomenal. On par with his favorite place that went out of business during COVID. Thumbs up for the coleslaw too! Service was great and plenty of food for a hungry man. Would definitely recommend!

My sister and I were resting outside and I noticed a guy making something through the window. We walked over and saw he was making coleslaw. We went inside the market and ordered ribs, brisket, coleslaw and house sauce. It was AMAZING. Of course I had to get a root beer float too and it brought me back to my childhood. What a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back.

For some reason all the photos I took won’t load…anyways. I managed to attached one photo of the brisket. First let me say this, this review is weeks overdue. Me and a coworker grabbed lunch while waiting for an assignment to start, of course it’s the back and forth about what to get. We finally decided on que. I had a taste for brisket, we got the two meat combo with fries and extra sides. The sides are the photos that didn’t load, but nevertheless this brisket was FIRE. The smoke rings and favor were all there! You can tell the meat, well the food was cooked with love. The portions were rather decent, I got a kind for myself and that pound got me through 2 meals at the firehouse plus what we ate at the counter. They have multiple home made sauces and we tried pretty much all of them, definitely unique in taste. I say all this to say this, as I’m typing me and that same coworker plus our work crew are coming back. Plans are already in the making! Thanks for the great customer service!
