The Packing House. This was another awesome experience for the Supper Club journey! After we confirmed our reservations, we headed to the bar. Started with the WISCO Old Fashion and Martini, they make great drinks by the way! It wasn’t long before we were seated for dinner. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the dinner options. We had a combination of the duck, tenderloin, vegan dish and pork chop for dinner. The food was amazing! Over all a 5 star experience! Thanks for a great Saturday night dining experience!

Very friendly service. Seated right away. The prices are a bit steep but the biggest reason for the 3 stars was the food. The $26 steak was chewy, thin and I could barely cut it. The soup tasted like it was straight out by of a can. The fries however were great!!! Awesome music playing as well. Place has a very divorcée over 50’s vibe.

Everything was very delicious 😋. The waitress was on point with service. As an avid concert goer the music was extremely loud for a fine dining experience. I could not hear the person I was sitting with! We both would have probably enjoyed ourself more and finished our tasty food if it wasn't so loud!

The food was cold. Very disappointing for a 53$-12oz prime rib. The old fashions are nothing to rave about, they tasted weird. It's a neat supper club and a cool place to check out if you're a clubber. Prices are ridiculous! Definitely, a one-and-done experience for us!

The food is AMAZING! I do have to say I work here though. I have had prime rib at many places but here ..you can cut it with a fork. They have escargot swimming in butter to die for! I can't say anything bad about the menu except they have beef liver on the lunch menu! They have signature drinks and well....I couldn't rave more about the food!! Oh and Live Music on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

We had a celebration dinner with the Soccer Staff. We had the Mozzarella and Mushroom with Crab appetizers, both were very good. Three of us had the dinner salad, I had the Caesar Salad which was also very good. Another coach had the French onion soup, which he liked as well. Then for the main course, three of us had steaks 🥩!!! Yes!!! We had the Ribeye steak, med rare, which I will say was the BEST steak I’ve ever had. Super tasty, and melt in your mouth tender. All meals came with Haystack onions, and choice of potatoes or rice. Another Coach had the Roast Duck, he said it was pretty good but a bit sweeter than he expected, but he did like it. Then we had dessert, New York Cheesecake with Strawberries. How can you go wrong!! Another Coach had the Pink Squirrel desert drink. Our waitress was a bit snarky at first and seemed a bit off, but by the end of the meal she had improved. Overall service was very good, but the food was excellent!! If your looking for a great steak, I’d highly recommend stopping here!!!

Finding the host station was rather difficult and we had to ask 2 different people to get seated. I ordered the beef wellington, excited for it since it is not often I get to indulge. It is required to be cooked medium, which I knew due to how it's cooked when I normally like medium rare but for a wellington, I made an exception. It came out on the well side of medium well and needed salt. Also where it stated in the description on the menu (and with the preparation of wellingtons) as a tenderloin wrapped in puff pastry, it simply had a cap placed on top. Definitely not a true beef wellington. It was good, not great, and definitely not worth the price or sold as it was advertised. It was an ok place. I feel management failed at keeping up the history and old school supper club feel. It could be good but needs an overhaul. I hope they do something before it dies off like so many others. Unfortunately I won't rush to go back until they do.

My wife and I took her uncle to celebrate his birthday as it is his favorite place to go. We had never been there so we were excited to try a new experience in a long time Milwaukee supper club. The atmosphere is comfortable and very retro. The service was great. The food was more than disappointing. It was only edible in that we didn’t want to embarrass our guest of honor as this was his place. The Fish (both salmon, which was poached, not grilled) and Walleye) were past their use by date, let alone not fresh, and the sides were subpar for a far less expensive restaurant. Gummy and dry days old potatoes and mashed potatoes. Uncooked beans. This was a $50 a plate meal that didn’t come close to what would be acceptable at a family chain type restaurant. Maybe they had a new chef. Someone made a mistake. I don’t know but the food literally made us sick. We won’t go near it again.

Heads up, if you're wanting to get a table for dinner on Friday or Saturday, book a reservation via phonecall. They don't use OpenTable. The traditional fish fry is very good. Their batter is something between a cornmeal and flour mix, making it non soggy and lightly crunchy. The tartar sauce is very heavy on the creamy mayo. Not bad though. I do appreciate that they have glass ketchup bottle for the French fries. If you're more into the potato pancakes like myself, their apple sauce its refreshing. Decent beer selection on tap and an extensive bourbon and brandy array for your preferential old fashion. One of the better fish fries in Milwaukee. They do use Styrofoam and plastic ramikans for Togo containers unfortunately. I would like to come back and try the steaks sometime.

Absolutely wonderful outdoor setting, family friendly and the food was delicious. Our waitress, Kristie K was wonderful, very attentive, aloud just the right amount of time between serving apps to our meals. She seemed to have an abundance of knowledge for the place she works at. We will definitely be coming back here. It is expensive but it was also far worth it

This is a special place. Quite unassuming, it only took 23 years of living in Wisconsin and passing by, looking... to finally stop to eat. What a gem. The dinner salad, an unforgettable, automatic addition to the meal, is delicious! Crisp! Fresh (what you hope for, but rarely really receive). I can't say more. Shrimp scampi was one of the lunch specials. It did not disappoint.

Great supper club. The deluxe brandy old fashioned was on point with top shelf cherries. I had a beef Wellington, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Wellington was amazing. I've seen wellingtons on TV a lot on cooking shows so gave it a go and was not disappointed. Definitely recommend this place for a solid night out.

First time at the Packing House! I was part of a larger group. We grabbed drinks at the bar prior to being seated. Bartender was pleasant and we got our drinks quickly. Dinner was fantastic and service was just as good. Portions were right on. Prices are borderline high but the food quality and service made it worth the trip. Overall: great food, great service but can be expensive. Worth checking out!!

Amazing food for our whole table. The Grand steer filet was perfection(might be the best steak I’ve had.. top 3 easily). So good I might be back tomorrow to get the same thing. My S/O had the garlic stuffed filet both hers and mine were cooked perfect. Someone else in our party had the Wellington and said it was great. Highly recommend to anyone!

If you were raised on food without flavor then this place is for you! The food is bland, mediocre, and nothing special. For the price, we could have had better service, ambience, and food at Carson’s. Wouldn’t eat here again if the meal was free. Our waitress was definitely overworked; had way too many tables to take care of. She would forget the things we asked for. Drinks were served 25 minutes after ordering. Dinner was a two hour ordeal. We will never eat here again.

Had a really great time here. Seats are first come first serve unless have a reservation. Can be a little pricey, but worth it!! The food was honestly better than I expected and rather filling, the drinks were also better than expected. Would definitely recommend for a nice date.

25 December 2022 Our wait person was very polite & attentive. She and the rest of the staff were so busy with the holiday surge but they managed to remain happy and festive. The food was amazing! Their Friday Night Fish Fry are a delight as well!

The first time in my life that I had an amazing steak, it was here. I ate here almost every month for a couple of years when I was traveling to Milwaukee and it was amazing. I hadn't been to Milwaukee for quite a few years, then had to travel there again for work. I took my wife, very excited to take her there for an amazing steak! The clam stuffed mushrooms were very amazing!

Packing House: Opened nearly 50 years ago, the Packing House is still family owned. The restaurant specializes in steak, but also serves BBQ and seafood. My family went there for dinner to celebrate my brother’s college graduation back in 2017 (I’m a little late posting this review). I can’t recall the cut of steak I ordered, but it was delicious. The crispy onion straws it came with were sort of an odd pairing in my opinion, but they were surprisingly good. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Dinner was amazing! We usually come for the fish fry (one of the best in town), but decided to eat in and order from the menu for our anniversary. One of the best meals we've had in the area! Highly recommend!

The best supper club experience one can have. The prime rib, star of the show, cuts through with a fork. However, everything I've had here....chicken parm, walleye, appetizers...has been fantastic. The bartenders and waiting staff is a perfect example of what true service is.

We came for the fish fry. My husband had cod/perch special. He said the perch tasted fishy. I had the pan fried walleye. I thought the fish was good. The batter could have been lighter for my liking. The old fashions are wonderful and the music outstanding. Next time we will go back to eating their steaks. The wait staff was not wearing masks and the tables were a bit close for this Covid era.

Wife chose a bar for a fish fry (no name given) and I chose the Packing House. She said afterwards, "You can always bring me here for fish fry 😋." We had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was surreal. Perfect lighting, friendly professional staff, customers enjoying themselves, nice music and a perfect fish fry plus the clam chowder was really good. Wife took some home and four days later she said that her cod was good 👍, can you believe that, four days later!? They are truly deserving of their reputation.

On business travel had dinner here on 2/9/2022. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. Unfortunately the steak prices were doubled what my company allows for dinner expense so I had other proteins. But was highly satisfied with the experience overall. Will definitely return on future trips and recommend others!

This was almost a perfect experience. The only reason why I did not give a 5 is because we had a reservation, and we still had to wait. Also, they had us by a walk way area where the waitstaff came out of(which has a lot of foot traffic), which wasn’t an ideal location. However, our service and food were AMAZING!!! Everything was piping hot, my steak was cooked correctly and our waitress was so pleasant and attentive. We really enjoyed our experience. I think this is now my favorite place for steaks(up until this point it has been Capital Grille and Perry’s in Dallas)! I can’t wait to go back!!!
