Absolutely delicious! I went for a date night on a Sunday night. Highly recommend reservations or you likely won’t get in. We had lasagna and chicken Parmesan. Both were incredible! The meals come with soup or salad and fresh bread with oil. We got chocolate tart for dessert and it was also 10/10! I loved all of the Christmas decorations and how cozy it was inside. Perfect for a date night. The service was great too! Our server had great recommendations and was very kind and attentive. A gem in Milwaukee! Awesome Italian food.

We are staying in town from Minneapolis for my daughter's gymnastics competition at the State FIr Grounds and decided to try Balisteri's out. Walked in, super packed. Walked up to the desk and they were able to squeak us 4 in immediately! So awesome! Excellent food, service, and hospitality. Highly recommend!!

Balisteris is a very good Italian Restaurant! The building itself is very nice and homely, very well kept and clean from the inside out though it CAN be a little cramped! Service was excellent; quick, polite, very attentive, nothing wrong there definitely grade A plus! The food was delectable in its own right! From the free bread, tomato basque soup, caprese salad, lamb with green beans and potatoes, and finally to the tirimasu, all of it was incredibly scrumptious and hard not to gobble up! The price is steep but in my opinion it is worth it at Balisteris! Pictures are of the inside and outside of the building, EXTENSIVE menus, and food!

I have Never had a disappointing visit to this place. Regardless of what I order it is always superb. The staff are wonderful and pleasant. My favorite time to visit is when they have "Dining and the Arts". The menu always has an option to choose and is terrific from the first course to the dessert. The show tickets are always fantastic-and it includes transportation to & from the venue. Can't beat that! No hassle, no worries. All entertainment & fun. Going for a pizza night? You can't beat theirs. Awesome!!!

Great service we were seated so fast and barely waited at all for our appetizer, the home made garlic bread! So delicious! And the atmosphere itself makes this restaurant worth going back to!1

Love the atmosphere. Italian at its best. Hubby had New England clam chowder and shared a medium works pizza having plenty of leftovers ver pizza

A long time fixture in Milwaukee Italian dining. Top notch from cocktails to dessert. Huge pizzas and nice size appetizers. I very much enjoyed the octopus side. A great pasta menu as well. Service is very good as wait staff and bus persons are very attentive and pleasant.

We tried the garlic cheese bread and a pizza. Ordered the pizza a little well done and it came out perfect. Nice thin crispy crust and great flavor. The inside of the restaurant was unique as well. Cool place, will come again.

Stopped here looking for a new pizza experience..I was not disappointed!!! We had half order of eggplant for an appetizer and it more than enough for 3 people. Ordered a large works pizza,and was pleasantly surprised at the fast service. The place is elegant, quiet and served one of the best pizza's I have had. Our waitress Rachel was polite, friendly and accommodating a refreshing experience!!! I will be back to try out other choices off their menu

Mediocre food, less than stellar service. Balistreri’s is one place I really missed when moving from the Milwaukee area, so after visiting for the first time in 3 years, I was so excited to meet up with friends here for a nice dinner. Had a nice drink at the bar, was greeted by pleasant staff but when Becca entered the chat the experience went downhill. She was so incredibly smug and disingenuous. The place was busy and our party was very patient but it took quite a long time for us to receive our meals. When we finally inquired about the food Becca felt the need to tell us there are 3 different dining sections and everyone was ordering pizza. But our food was suddenly (like immediately) ready. Two room temperature pizzas, and two room temperature entrees came out. Which was a pretty clear indication that our food sat for quite awhile. It was quite a disappointing experience and when I return for another visit. I will not be returning to this establishment, since clearly Becca didn’t want us there. If not for Nessa, this would be a one star review. During our brief interaction with her she was very sweet and pleasant, and would probably make a much better server.

The overall experience was disappointing. I ordered the veal, it was stringy and tough, and had little flavor, my girlfriend got the seafood platter and she thought it was fine. The service left a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if they're short staffed or not, but the server's attitude was disingenuous, going through the motions, and I could hear his attitude going downhill as our visit dragged on. It took over an hour to get our food, and for the two of us the bill was over $100. This food wasn't worth $50. I did like the holiday atmosphere, but that isn't worth going back for.

Celebrated my birthday here. Food was amazing. Got the baked tomato bisque soup (made like baked French onion soup) and lasagna. Couldn’t even eat half of the lasagna - portion was huge. Both the soup and lasagna were excellent. Also, I love the atmosphere with the torch singers music (including Sinatra and Bennett, of course) wafting through the restaurant. Easy, convenient parking as well! Really love this place.

Last Warm Day of The Year. 70s in October. I Ate on The Patio!! My waitress GiGi was very pleasant. I had a sidecar? With a balistreri salad and linguine carbonara. Everything tasted great. Cooked well with great flavors. I was tipsy off of that one drink also. Quite strong.

One of my favorite places if I’m in the mood for Italian & I love taking family and friends here! The best carbonara I’ve had since traveling to Italy—can’t go wrong with the bread/oil, Caesar salad, eggplant appetizer, pasta, etc.

My boyfriend took me out for a nice birthday lunch here and it was amazing! I couldn't believe how great my food was. Prices are really not that bad either. We paid 40 bucks and left with leftovers. Very friendly waitress too. Best liver and onions I had in a while! Highly recommend (:

As a birthday present, I treated myself (and, of course, bought along my husband) to a Balistreri's dinner and show package to see Pretty Woman. Our four-course meal along with two glasses of our favorite wine were unbelievable and deliciously outstanding. Antonia, our server, made us feel very important. He made sure throughout our meal we were satisfied with everything. He was kind, professional and just made it a pleasure for us to dine at Balistreri's. After dinner, their bus took us directly downtown to see the show where we had great orchestra seats. It was a perfect birthday present to myself, and I can't wait to see what other dinner/show packages they will be offering in the near future. I surely will not wait until my next birthday to take advantage of another opportunity to dine at Balistreri's.
