Chose this hotel for a convention in town and while the hotel looks nice and served its purpose for being place to rest for the night, it really doesn’t deserve the title of 3-stars. The rooms were a bit small, bathroom doors didn’t lock and were cheaply installed barn doors (like the small town eye clinic I visit has better barn doors) they didn’t serve breakfast even though their bar was closed and the rooms had no microwaves, you just had one community microwave for the whole hotel, plus the service was awful. There was one nice front desk lady the last day I was there but that was it, everyone other staff member was just rude and clearly didn’t want to be there. Sauna didn’t even get hot but the pool was decent. And now they’re removing reviews off of their page, because my boyfriend left a review also, and his got removed, as well as bunch of my friends reviews who also stayed here for the convention.

Liked the hotel and the location was great. Staff is super nice. Sucks they didn't have a bar or food. You could buy cereal and milk out of plastic container. Ended up across the street at another Hotel..Marriott I think. Awesome brunch and great to grab a quick coffee and bite before starting the day. Had to wait 10 minutes between toilet flushes and house keeping never came in for 3 days. No biggie. I would stay again as long as it was the discounted price. No way if it was the regular price.

I got a deal on hotwire for this hotel. The TV did not have a remote in the room, and kept turning on after we manually kept turned it off and turning the volume up on its own. The main lamp in the room was also broken. There were absolutely NO vending machines and the ice machine on our floor didn't work. The only way to get snacks or water/soft drinks was to go to the lobby and charge it to your room. There is a $30 a night parking fee in their parking ramp, also charged to your room. There is a $50 damage deposit in the room at the time of check in. The pool is in the unfinished basement and is very small. There were no towels and very messy when we went to swim. When I called for more towels they said we would have to pick them up at the front desk. I am assuming to charge your room (😂 laughing but probably serious, we did not get towels.) Outlets in the room were also very loose we just tried plugging in our phones. 😳 Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Best to spend the extra $30 a night elsewhere.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms were a little dated, and I had a view of the roof parking lot even though the description of the room said i would have a view of the city. All i could see was the parking lot and the two nearby building walls. I would still recommend it. It's within walking distance from a lot of attractions, I was able to walk to the library and then to the sculpture garden. The first night I was there the television didn't work and the front desk people said they didn't know how to make it work, so I sat in the quiet room alone all night with no television to watch.

Wow just wow thank goodness I didn’t cancel my reservations due to all the negative reviews. We booked the Valentines premium dinner and deluxe King room and were not disappointed. The entertainment was tasteful and provided a romantic ambience The four course meal was spectacular from the special label white wine antipasto, the soup and salad course, the ribeye steak, and dessert it was a special atmosphere in The Dome. We were celebrating the 45th year of our proposal/engagement. They announced it and presented us with a lovely flower arrangement of roses and lillies and daisies. without knowing it they were in the colors of our wedding 7 months later. The room was just the right size it was neat, clean and tidy. Sure the furniture is a little scuffed but so what it wasn’t broken they had all the amenities you’d expect including a little refrigerator, the heater worked well. The swimming pool was a nice size and had a deep end which is rare these days. The fitness center was quite large with many machines and weights. They provided hand towels for wiping sweat. Unfortunately the sauna was under repair. The restaurant provided a good breakfast. Very nice we had a great time!

We checked in and the lady at the desk was very nice. It was her first day. We got our room and it was very hot and small. I could barely get a scooter in it. We went back down to park our vehicle and the fun begun. Limited parking and under construction. Going back into the hotel, I fell going up two little steps. No railing and steps were not highlighted. The nice lady asked about our room. After explaining about the scooter, they magically found a handicap room and allowed us to move. This room was much bigger and the air worked. Nice room. We even got maid service the next morning but the only morning on a 7 day stay. No restaurant open on premise. Our friend had his truck stolen from the parking garage and at least one more broken into. When the front desk was asked about security being added in the garage, they responded remove valuables from your vehicle. We said we did that the first night, but we are worried about our vehicle being stolen. No response. The next morning people were checking for their cars before taking luggage down. While checking out another friend said the first day he left for a while and came back to find his luggage was open in his room and money he thought he had hidden was gone. The room was decent but I would avoid this hotel if at all possible. The police showed up across the street after a fight and the officer would not get out of his car until another officer showed up. The ambulance crew all wore bullet proof vests. This is not the Millennium of past, it needs updated, security added, cameras installed, more staff, and a secure parking garage.

Really struggled between rating this a 2 or a 3 and 2.5 doesn't seem possible. We stayed at the Millennium because it was close to the venue for our daughter''s wedding. The rooms were spacious. The hotel is understaffed, especially the front desk during check-in time. The restaurant remains closed. The parking ramp is under construction. Because of that, the ticketing gate is always open and there is no elevator available in the ramp. Overall stay in the hotel itself was fine for our needs. My biggest issue was trying to get a room for the family to gather the day after the wedding. Trying to reach the staff and once finally contacted, to get responses to emails and phone calls was less than satisfying. Our daughter had similar experience trying to get information on the guests that booked in the wedding block. Multiple emails and phone calls went unanswered. Perhaps they are also understaffed, but there is no way to tell.

We traveled to this hotel for business, and the front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. We never had an issue finding a parking spot even though there was construction. The bedding was comfortable, and we found no trace of insects or uncleanliness. For a few reasons listed below, I agree with the general 3/5 star rating for the hotel. We had some issues getting our room cool enough. We're unclear if that was due to the unseasonably warm weather or a dated unit. We would've preferred a bathroom door that stayed closed as opposed to the barn door style that seemed to roll open without warning. The bathroom was rather compact. We, ourselves, were not treated poorly by staff. That said, we chose not to bring a concern for drug use on our floor/the poor AC function up to the front desk per the recommendation of other guests who had been brushed off when voicing similar concerns.

We had a great stay! The room was nice and clean. Our front desk attendant was very accommodating. Our room was not ready yet so he placed us in a temporary room until ours was ready so we would have a place to store our bags. The location was perfect. It's in the heart of downtown. We were there to go to the U.S. Bank stadium. There are lots of places to eat. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel itself is decent. It's in a great location with access to the Nicollet Mall walkable promenade. The parking was sufficient and easily accessible. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were great. However, my room was around 80 degrees most of the stay in the winter time. I had to open the window to allow the winter in. The technician couldn't turn the heat down. The restaurant and bar weren't open for the time I was there. I purchased some snacks at the concession window and got major attitude from the front desk staff. Apparently buying a 5$ pack of m&ms was inconvenient for him. Overall I would recommend for location and rooms but service was bad.

Definitely one of the better hotels I've stayed in! While the rooms aren't spectacular, they are good. You get what you pay for, but not only is the hotel not nearly as expensive as others it was in the higher end of a three star hotel, lower end of a four star. I'd definitely recommend it to others!

Stayed for Twin Cities Con 2022 and had a great experience! Great pricing and the staff were friendly and attentive. We did initially have a problem with our room, but we were quickly given a new room with with no hassle. Thank you for the great stay!

The rooms are great, and the king size beds are very comfortable. Black out curtains and the place is extremely quite. The location is great. A short walk through the park to the Walker Art Center, plus the hotel is right downtown. It’s a half hour walk to Target Field, but the free downtown bus services takes you to within a five minute stroll if you’d rather. The bad: They offer next to no services. No room service, no housekeeping, no towel or coffee replacement. You have to ask the front desk for everything, and then they only do it half-way decent. The restaurant is always empty, but there’s a great diner right next door. Coffee to take out is $5 a cup, and it’s yuck. The parking is outrageously expensive. It’s the least expensive place to stay downtown, however, so it’s worth it for the price, location, and the clean comfortable bed.

Where to start? I suppose at the beginning. Obviously my arrival was inconvenient, and then my request for a room change, because of long black hairs in the sheets, hair on the underside of the pillow, and a dead bedbug on the foot of the bed, stuck in the sheet. Now, I was told the laundry is sent out so the bug could have been transported in. Whatever. But, long black hairs on a stark white sheet? I saw them, why couldn't housekeeping? I called the front desk and was told to come down for a new room. Second room, hot!! It felt at least 80 degrees, crumbs on the mattress, stains and hairs..ugh. I needed sleep so I cleaned it up myself and tried to keep cool. The heating unit was broken. Checking out I asked for a receipt which the agent almost rolled her eyes at me. I needed to confirm there wasn't a billing issue too. Convenient location for me was why i chose to stay, rooms are quaint but unfortunately not clean. I will not recommend.

We did not stay at the hotel, we had dinner in the dome for their Valentine’s day weekend event. It was glorious!! Parked in the parking garage (no elevators), usually $35 but was validated for the event. Concierge directed us to the elevators and we went up to the dome floor. We were greeted warmly the moment we got off the elevator and our coats were checked for us. They brought us to our set table, laid out with chocolate roses and very romantic decor, as well as bread and water. I didn’t realize how intimate/small it would be, only about 8 tables and our time slot had some no-shows so it was just us and one other couple. I thought it was nice that way, lots more interaction with the band (who did a great job setting the mood). Incredible views, ambience immaculate. Attentive servers who catered to and anticipated our needs. I hope the word spreads about their events! I think they’re planning on hosting more so keep an eye out.

This hotel is a hot mess. The front desk staff was nice but could tell they were hanging on by a thread and running thin staff. The parking garage key didn’t work. Our room had an odd smell. We had to go to the 11th floor to find an ice machine that worked. There is security that checks to see if you are actually staying there. I overheard security tell a couple of girls they would be fined $500 for smoking in their room and they smelled of weed. I took an elevator ride with a lady that was quite high and smelled of it. It is a great location but they need a makeover! I did hear they are getting bought out so hopefully they have a turnaround with such a great location!

Checked in and the room was stuck at 85°. Notified front desk and they said a maintenance person up to fix it. While in the room, we used the bathroom and noticed the toilet wasn’t flushing right and upon us opening the tank lid, a rag was stuffed in it. We also notified front desk of this. We left for a few hours and came back and nobody had been assigned to fix the room and we requested a new room. The new room looked fine and then we noticed the heat wouldn’t go below 75° at all times - which was terrible! Not to mention the beds were very uncomfortable and TINY. We also moved the chair in the room and found a cord and lighter from the previous people. Beware of fees that aren’t on the website - $35 per day for Parking! $20 for breakfast, and they do not have any complimentary coffee/water. Would not recommend staying here!!

I don’t know where to begin. So disappointed. Upon arrival the guy behind the counter was totally unpleasant, didn’t give any information, didn’t even smile or greet me in a friendly way. The other guy who went behind the desk had an overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke. Of course, the sauna was broken, which now I see in other reviews is pretty common. Check out was even worse. They tried to charge us for parking in the garage, but we had already paid for it on debit. When I told her that, she said she would remove one of the parking charges, according to my account they charged me. The woman working at check out was super inpatient with me, and when I asked her for a receipt she rolled her eyes. I said, is that ok? She said she’d email, haven’t received it. Is there a reason that i couldn’t get a printed receipt? Is that an unreasonable request? Overall it was just not the experience I wanted and paid for.

A friend and I visited Millennium on business for a few days. I’ve stayed at this hotel before and it always continues to impress me! The rooms were clean, and didn’t have any smell to them. The hallways are also kept clean - I hate when there are room service plates sitting outside rooms GROSS - and the lobby and business center areas are kept organized and tidy. I was impressed with the housekeeping manager and staff during my stay. They seem very efficient in getting me what I needed when requested.

Kind of worse for the wear, but the location is quiet, safe, and convenient to lots of downtown restaurants and the light rail and bus system. Makes a great base camp for exploring the city. Staff were all friendly and professional. Elevators stop at random floors regardless of what buttons are pushed, sauna is broken (and has been for some time, judging by the raggedy sign on the door), and we had to beg for more towels and a folding luggage rack (which never arrived). If you need a place to sleep while on vacation, this will do nicely.

If I had only went by some of the reviews online, I may have given second thoughts to staying there. Fortunately I didn’t. Our room was clean, the bed was beyond comfortable. Their late check out (12:00) was more than appreciated. Since we were in town for one night and we’re at a concert, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy any other amenities, but being able to have convenient parking, close to the venue, and the friendly but professional staff, that was more than enough for us.

Great location. Clean room, spacious and great service. They give you a link to Pre check in and a link to check out so all you have to do is show your ID and tell receptionist at desk last 4 digits of card you are using and they give you your key card. You need your key card to use the elevator. Restaurant at the hotel has good food. They take cash and card or you can charge it to your room. I definitely recommend coming here. Everyone at the reception desk was very nice and helpful.

For the price you can’t complain. Rooms are big. Shower is okay. Beds aren’t comfortable but not horrible. Connected to the skyway path if you want to stay indoors to get to a game. I would walk three blocks and get into a different section of skyway but still option to walk indoors all the way to the game in winter. Check in sketched me out asking for all info day before up and till check in when they just hand you your key. All in all great for the price.

This is an older hotel that, while clean, leaves a LOT to be desired on amenities. My room - which was supposed to be a "Superior King" - featured a full-size mattress and no desk. Fine, I can handle it even though I'm on a business trip and need to work. However, EVERY DAY the room temperature in the afternoon skyrocketed to 77-79 degrees even though the thermostat was at 68. No matter what I did, I couldn't get the unit to cool the room off, so I called the front desk (which generally took several minutes for anyone to even answer the phone) and had maintenance come fix it while I went somewhere cooler. When it happened again on the last day of my stay, I stuck around for the maintenance guy, and he told me that the hotel's chiller had been turned off a week ago, and the only thing that could be done is to open the window. It's a known problem for their rooms on the western corner of the hotel, but there's nothing they can do about it except open the window and wait until the sun goes down. If anyone had bothered to tell me about it, I would've asked for a new room on the first day! Poor communication, poorly staffed/trained front desk team, and just a lousy experience overall. Do NOT recommend. The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is that the housekeeping team generally kept it clean.

The hotel is not too bad. Staff was pleasant. Check in was easy and fast. However... my ex-girlfriend came to the hotel unexpectedly. No joke, security gave her my room number and access to get up to my room. I don't think any hotel has a policy that allows unwanted persons have access to a guests room. Would like to talk to management about this. Security should not comprise the safety of their guests. Definitely feeling like it'll be the last time I ever book a hotel at the Millennium

  • 2/5 D S. 6 months ago on Google
Staff was very nice. But the rooms and cleanliness need help. Furniture is dated and beat up. Needs a fresh coat of paint and new light fixtures. Bathroom had some hair in it and there was a used washcloth hanging on the shower rod when I checked in. And the tub did not drain well and the porcelain was separating from the tub that gave it the sensation of walking on a water bed. Good location, but next time I'll stay at the Hyatt across the street.

I have never stayed at a hotel with worse beds. They are so incredibly uncomfortable! The sheets were scratchy, the blankets thin, and terribly thin pillows. This alone is enough reason that I will never stay here again. The AC would not go below 75. There is no way you can sleep in a 75-degree room. I wish I would have stayed at the hotel across the street. The front desk staff is rude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, by asking a question. A few times when I called the desk from our room to get some towels, they wouldn't even answer the phone. As someone that travels frequently, I will make a point of staying anywhere but here. Just because you are a tall hotel downtown does not make you luxury in the least. Let's just say your photos did an excellent job selling the stay, because your service and quality did not.

The hotel was great. Pretty clean and cozy. The only thing that I had an issue with was that the housekeepers do not service the room unless requested. But other than that, my stay was great

  • 4/5 Sandra S. 11 months ago on Google
Nice hotel. Seemed a bit understaffed, but the staff who were there were helpful and polite. Breakfast buffet is adequate but limited, more like a basic motel than a downtown hotel. Room was clean and quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Prices were great compared to other hotels. Pretty close to bars, restaurants, and shops. Very loud outside. Kept hearing a dog bark very loudly. The rooms were... Okay. They could use some tlc. Walls had lots of marks and stains. The a/c didn't work the day we checked in. It was cool out, so we didn't ask to have somebody look at it, and then it was working the next day. Super odd. No microwave. I'd say pretty mediocre.

Upscale hotel in great location in downtown Minneapolis. Air-conditioning was not working resulting in very uncomfortable nights. I reported this to front desk to no avail. While rooms were reasonably priced, parking was $30 per night. Front desk service was less than helpful.

  • 1/5 Tera S. 1 year ago on Google
We paid for the room through Priceline. Someone at the front desk had the audacity to charge me for the room for a second time at a different rate. Then they over charged me for the parking as well. No maps or information about where the pool is in the lobby area. The restaurant wasn't open for business anymore, but they still had the signs on the doors. The continental breakfast Buffet that they offered was of poor quality and way over priced. It should have been included in the cost of the room. I got sick in the middle of the night and didn't have a sufficient amount of towels to clean up properly. When 2 people are staying in a room, there should be a few more towels available. There weren't any robes in the room either. I'm pretty sure that I read that one on the Amenity list. Last but not least... the Phone in the Room didn't even work. I was really disappointed.

Had a really nice time. It was kind of frustrating that the front doors were locked even upon check-in, so somebody had to let us in. But it was a nice, quiet, uneventful stay that I thoroughly enjoyed. The swimming pool area was well received. I was glad to see there was a lift assist in it. It was heated as well. We had a nice view and my friend said it was a good deal.

Great area, quite busy. Good for business travelers, not for families. No notification that the parkade was under construction. Parked in the hotel across the street. Would've loved to use valet as we are a family with a young kid. Would have been nice to be able to leave the car with valet once you arrive. Common areas were clean. Ample amount of elevators. Would have been nice to be in a room side by side or same floor as family members as requested but didn't happen. (I understand that's on availability but same floor is not that hard when you're doing room blocking, ask me how I know) All those are forgiven however the sheets smelled used and not replaced from the previous guest. The strong smell woke me up at night. Did not feel clean at all.
