I don't normally do reviews for hotels but I wanted to call out 2 specific things that made this stay great. We were here for 5 nights recently. Both "things" are people. Willie - one of the friendliest people I have met in my many travels. Super kind & accommodating as a worker. But more than that, was willing to share some of his life experiences in his travels when we asked about it. Great asset to have on the team. And the next time I am in Minneapolis I will stay at this hotel and hopefully talk to him again. Josh - awesome dude, friendly, helpful. On 3 occasions I had requests and each time he was able to help me out above & beyond what I would have expected. Super competent and friendly guy. Another great team member. The hotel itself was nice. Breakfast was great when you compare it to almost any other hotel these days. Location was great. All around very happy with the stay here.

Decided on a last minute spring break trip to Minneapolis and stayed here. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and spacious. Easy self-parking just a few feet up which was reasonably priced with in/out privileges. The breakfast and happy hour were both great and of great value. Staff at both were also very friendly and fun. Will easily stay here again in the future. Also lots of great restaurants within walking distance!

The suites looked nice and updated, but upon further inspection were a bit strange. No fitted sheets, minimal privacy in the bathroom, and a shower floor that did not drain well. It was fine for one night. Bonus info: free breakfast is great; no hot tub in the pool area.

The good parts: This hotel was spacious, clean, friendly staff, and has a very nice breakfast offering. The bad parts:. We got very little sleep as you can hear every step the people in the room above take. The website says there IS a hot tub, which there is NOT. No "adult" pool hours.

We stayed in a corner suite up on the 8th floor and WHOA our view was sweet! Very large picture windows in almost every room had great views of city traffic, murals, architecture and marquee lights. It rained the night we stayed and it gave a very Gotham feel to the city. The room was clean, the bed as comfortable as can be expected. Our only caveat is there is no on site parking, you have to pay $35 to park a block away and walk back to the hotel. This makes arrival and departure a real pain hauling multiple bags, kids, purse, blankets and all the various electronics that kids bring on road trips. But, we would definitely stay again because the view, the very helpful staff, and the charm of the old building.

First room given to us had someone else's things in it. Got new room. Someone else opened our room with a key. Then they woke up us at 8 saying we needed to get out. Very unsecured place!!! So disappointed. Chips in bar area were expired by 2 months! Would NOT recommend

I was pleasantly surprised during my stay. The hotel is beautiful. They have a happy hour with two free drinks and snacks each evening. The breakfast buffet is delicious. I was amazed at how clean it is.

Hotel is conveniently located for the event we were in town for. As soon as we pulled up to the hotel, we were greeted by valets who directed us to check in and parked our vehicle for a nightly fee of $55. The hotel itself is very nice, upscale. There is a complimentary evening reception every night that serves both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and a variety of snacks. The reception was decorated cute for Halloween and has nice views of downtown and plenty of space for seating. The only downside was that when we arrived an hour before it ended, the snacks were picked over and out of a lot of the items, and they did not replenish everything. They also offer complimentary breakfast, which is a step above usual hotel breakfast. They have a made to order omelet station which was very nice. While we were there, a convention was going on at the hotel. People at the convention were also in the breakfast area, so it was very crowded, felt rushed, and not a relaxing atmosphere while getting food. The room was very nice, and I loved the separation between the bedroom and the living/kitchen area. The bathroom, however, only had sliding doors, and they do not lock, so they lacked privacy. Since we had the couch folded down to a bed, if someone was in the bathroom, we had to walk on top of bed to walk from bedroom to living area. Our room had a couple of areas that were not clean upon arrival, including some of the walls, and our comforter had a large makeup stain that looked fresh, and un washed. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel, and I would stay again. Forgot to take more pictures!

We stayed here during a little getaway from Dubuque. First time staying here and we would 100% stay again The staff was great, the rooms were clean and very nice. The breakfast was one of the best complementary we have ever seen.

Minimal store, minimal food service, but connected to the Skyway indoor walkway and very close to a light rail station. My room was giant, with distinct bathroom, living room and bedroom spaces that were each as big as a small hotel room. Breakfast was complimentary and rather simple, but the seating area was giant with windows along all the walls. Just buy your late night snacks early, don't count on food or drinks very late, and your experience should be great. Your aren't getting maid service during your stay still. They have an indoor pool but I didn't get a chance to check it or the gym out. One odd thing, my room had tons of windows and all the blinds were up and half were off their tracks. I had to climb dangerously up chairs to fix them just for privacy, including the bathroom.

Really love this hotel! We had a procedure at the Mayo Clinic and this hotel is right across the street. Staff are wonderful from check-in to the breakfast crew, housekeeping, bartenders, everyone is helpful and accommodating. We loved the omelettes for breakfast, the afternoon receptions, the housekeeping and towels on demand. Lyons pub is right next door plus other great restaurants within walking distance. We spent almost two weeks in this hotel and no complaints at all until a national volleyball tournament came to town and teenagers overtook the hotel. That certainly made things more challenging. Maybe in the future the staff can figure out to find balance in that area so everyone loves their home away from home but the hotel is top notch and so is the staff. Iā€™d definitely go back there! And if you need laundry facilities during your stay, a load of wash is $3.00. Dryer up to 50 minutes is $3.00 also.

Nice building, comfortable accommodations, although a little dated. Decent downtown area with lots if nightlife and many choices for dining. Parking for this hotel is quite pricey! The most I've paid to park at a hotel I'm already paying for to date! Not sure my company will pay to use this location for this reason alone.

During my recent visit to Embassy suite in Minneapolis I was very happy with the accommodations. The service far exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and clean. The front desk attendant was very professional and courteous. The breakfast options were healthy and delicious as well.

No way for consoles to access WiFi. Was a great room, beautiful bathroom and excellent beds with a good L-sofa to stretch on. Very close to good restaurants and pretty quiet for being downtown. Clean the walls better and we can change one of those 4s to a 5.

perfect place to stay in downtown minneapolis. secured entry at night, quiet environment, everything you need is in the room, lots for breakfast, & the bartender this last weekend was great. the receptionist (Cashier ID ā€œJRā€) was so helpful & got us checked in quickly after we had to find a new hotel in the middle of the night. now we know where to stay when we are in town. thank you!

Excellent stay cation for me downtown. Convenient to everything. Lovely staff as well. I wish I would of got the gentleman's name that checked me in on Friday evening. He was a class act!! Please, give him some props to his kind words to me and professionalism. It was the anniversary of my mother's death, and we had a nice conversation about it. He was simply fabulous. Shout out to Ryan, the bartender, as well. Good guy!! I'll be back and will also recommend friends to stay there. Thank you

The hotel seems nice until you get the room, it was cold outside, and it was cold in the room, they actually tell you it make take hours to heat up(smh) we asked for a space heater, they never brought it, they also stated the same thing for the shower as the water was cold, it would take time to heat up! You can also smell marijuana on the floor, they had the audacity to charge me $100 smoking fee, we don't even smoke! I asked the supervisor of rooms Troy, was any evidence of smoking in the room, wrappers, residue , ashes, anything, he said no! Just a smell from non smoking Hilton Honor members SMDH!!!!! Please don't stay here! i will Never stay here again!!!

Stayed 8/24-26 Pluses: Great location, beautiful soft, quality linens that donā€™t smell like bleach. Fantastic ā€˜freeā€™ breakfast with everything you could ever ask for including made to order omelets & seating area is on second floor with great views! Minus: loooong time to check in & check area/desk is underwhelming! When we arrived no valet available so we had to find our own parking at 11 pm. Not ideal, especially in a city you donā€™t know.

Beautiful "old world" hotel with clean modern rooms and friendly staff. My only complaints were the beds were too firm and uncomfortable for side sleepers and there were no vending or ice machines on all floors leaving us to call room service for something as simple as a bottle of water. I do however love the sign that says "for my convenience" they relocated them. For as expensive as this place is I would have expected a bit more. Kudos to the kitchen staff for an excellent breakfast spread.

The hotel is nice and the corner suite i had was lovely. Only complaint is the valet parking. When we arrived we got valet parking and we was told we can come & go at any time. Well thatā€™s not true. Valet closes at 12 midnight but we was never told until we went out at 10 pm to return at 2am and thereā€™s no valet and the manager of the hotel wasnā€™t helpful at all. We had to open the gate ourself then park and walk a steep ramp back to the hotel entrance. Then when we talked to the hotel manager he blamed the valet company and valet blamed the hotel manager but they still wanted me to pay for full service even though we didnā€™t get full service. I have never been to a hotel where valet closes. Nobody wanted to compensate us. The managers of the hotel was just awful.

Within reasonable walking distance for Vikings and Twins games. Good restaurants and entertainment nearby. More of a vintage than a contemporary vibe. Nice rooms. Parking available with valet service. Social with crackers, cheese, and bar drinks on Saturday night. Continental breakfast.

Josh was great. He was very helpful at the front desk. Breakfast was amazing the staff down there was really good to us. We had a 10th floor corner suite with amazing view. Very comfy bed. This was our second stay, we will love to come here for our next visit to mpls.

Thank you for a great stay! We were at a 2 day event at the Target Center and staying here was THE Best! We could walk back quickly for a rest, meals snacks or a quick dip in the pool. Breakfast was awesome! When we needed more towels and bedding they came quickly and kindly! So happy to have this hotel when we come every year!

This embassy suites was amazing. My room was clean and there was no issues with the bathroom or anything else. The breakfast was also the best I have ever seen in any hotel with made-to-order omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, a soda machine, plus staff that would help people with their dishes. The Emerald Bar bartender Tim G. was the best! He was super nice and friendly and accommodated what I wanted :) My only reason for not five stars is the pool. I had asked the front desk guy the night before what the hours were and he happily told me 6am-10pm and it wasn't open at the time (10:45) but that we could always go tomorrow...well we went in the morning (8:30) and it was closed for chemical cleaning. So that was super disappointing and I do wish they had told us the night before.

Nice hotel in a great location. Easy access to restaurants and entertainment options and the light rail system. The rooms are clean, and the facility is well maintained. Staff was very accommodating and professional. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Minneapolis.

My group recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Minneapolis and we were blown away by the level of genuine hospitality and care that was shown to us. After a long day of travel and an unexpected hiccup in our travel schedule, the front desk team welcomed us warmly. They went out of their way to make sure that we calculated out the shuttle pickup in the morning, asking our flight time and giving suggestions on what time we should depart in order to avoid the holiday rush. The hotel itself is very well kept up, with a beautiful open atrium concept that you can recognize right away. We only had a very short stay so didn't get to explore as much as we would have liked, but would return again.

My room wasn't "glamorous", but it was comfortable and the front desk was attentive. The free breakfast was pretty good and the people working the breakfast area were super nice. Location was convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Nicely placed hotel. Breakfast is very good. Inside Pool is very clean and cozy. People are so friendly. At the beginning I found the room dusty and not so clean, I asked for immediate housekeeping and they were so responsive and did the job very well. Would stay here again in future visits.

The hotel looked nicer than it was, definitely put a lot of lipstick on the pig in the room. Water pooled in the shower and didn't drain completely, the lighting was dull and relatively insufficient, and the bed was a hodgepodge. I'll explain the bed. It was a king bed on two twin box springs of different lengths, the king had a queen size mattress pad and no fitted sheet atop, only a standard king sheet over the pad. Housekeeping is by request only.

Breakfast was fantastic. Room was very clean..Only issue was our air conditioning did not work very well. They did bring a fan up right away when I requested it. The reception was a lot of fun..All guests can get 2 free drinks during happy hour.

Excellent location: 20 minute ride from the airport, block and a half from the Target Center and surrounded by good places to dine or have a drink. Room was updated, clean and breakfast bar was excellent. Check-in was a little disorganized - our room wasn't ready on time but they remedied the situation quickly and professionally. Would definitely book again next time we're in town.

Hotel is right downtown with plenty in walking distance. The free drinks was a nice addition and the breakfast was great! The lower rating is more focused on the environment. Staff werenā€™t necessarily rude, just very blunt and short with their diction and basic social interactions. Somebody brought towels up too us and didnā€™t even say a word (if anything it just made me laugh how awkward the interaction was). I frequently stay at hiltons and usually get great service and smiley people but that just wasnā€™t the case here. When using the ā€˜message front deskā€™ feature on my app, they took hours to respond. The hotel is pretty expensive and for what you pay for the rooms werenā€™t that nice. They were clean but the windows were small and the room felt awkwardly small. If youā€™re coming to visit the twin cities and youā€™re in between hotels, stay at the curio by Hilton which is a much nicer and modern building (for the same price). You donā€™t get the free breakfast or free drinks but the experience would be much better.

I loved my room so much! Spacious and clean. A little slow getting to cleaning the bathroom. Ever since you have to request Cleaning it seems they always forget the request. Breakfast is great! Made to order omletes! And they change up the hot prepared egg dishes. Service in the Breakfast space is great. They also have two free drink everyday during the reception. Granted they're simple drinks, but you can't get mad at free. The paid for drink aren't crazy expensive either. Overall enjoyed my stay and will look for embassy suites in other places.
