Desserts are always a treat, but they didn’t stick the landing this time. For some reason, the bacon for my brother and I ended up borderline burnt. I like it more crispy vs fatty, but I’m pretty sure nobody likes brick bacon. I’m talking extra, extra, extraaaa crispy. Maybe they cook forgot to remove the bacon, but it should never have left the kitchen. We also ordered a hot chocolate drink and assumed that it would be brought to us like the food. Unfortunately it was not and it just sat at the counter until after the food came out. What made it worse was that instead of just bringing us the drink, we were told it was at the counter. Like, you know who’s ordered what and if you know we forgot, how about having the courtesy of bringing us the drink with the food? Would definitely go back for desserts but not food.

Good food. Love the concept (tax and tip worked into the prices, order at the counter) chili bean sauce of the burrito was good. Large portion sizes, we could have split one breakfast burrito. Nice staff.

This cafe serves fair trade coffee and is a Social Benefit Corporation working to end youth homelessness. I had a good BLT and banana bread here as well as a tasty coffee. Great community and family friendly atmosphere here and they use compostable straws, bags, and encourage using reusable cups for drinks to-go. I liked the spaces they had inside as well as the nice area on the side for outdoor seating.

Had the opportunity to visit earlier in 2023 and have been looking forward to going again. Food was great. Good service. Just a cozy spot with a good vibe. Definitely deserves checking out!

This place is VERY expensive for bad food. Four dollars for a cup of black coffee. We ordered two bowls of flavorless Squash soup, two black coffees, and two hot chocolates total was almost $40.00. we had to doctor up the soup just to make it tolerable. The owner did reach out and refund our money for the soups.

I food ordered online at 12:30pm for a 1pm pickup. I arrived promptly at 1pm, my order pickup time. I checked in and told the lovely lady my name and order, she said they were “working on it”. I waited. I waited. The cook was very much enjoying talking to the beautiful girls. I waited. I waited. 20 minutes later they call me to tell me they can’t make my order for some reason. What sort of people call you versus talk directly to you. Anyway, food is good here. Some of the employees not as impressive.

I love Butter's mission and atmosphere. They're a no-tipping establishment that offers affordable delicious meals in house or on compostable or reusable take away dishes. I'm most often there for their cold brew, tea, or brunch. On my most recent visit with my dogs, they each got the kids egg island which they loved

Food was great and the portion size was enough to leave me stuffed, even with leftovers. Along with that, the service was friendly and quick.

I love the food at Butter Bakery Cafe! You can tell they use top quality ingredients and many are sourced locally. The breakfast burrito is a giant delicious monster and I’m not a vegetarian, but the beet/carrot burger is ridiculously good and makes you feel good after eating it. I’ve never had a baked good there that I didn’t enjoy, either! They also do a lot of good for their community, especially the Kingfield neighborhood.

I'm very disappointed with my experience at Butter Bakery Cafe today. I have been to Butter before and was excited to try it again. I ordered online and came to pick it up at my scheduled time. When I got there, I was told it would be a 5 minute wait. Then again another 5, then another 7. They had had a lot of orders today with only one grill. They were not accommodating while I was waiting, and after a total of 20 minutes, I received what I thought was my order. I took my order to my car and looked at it because it felt light. The bag had only half my order. When I went back inside, they told me they forgot to put in a few things and then tried to send me in my way but I checked again before leaving and they still didn't have everything. It took a few more minutes to put the rest of the order together. Finally got everything home and was excited to eat and everything was cold. The biscuits and sausage gravy were bland and floury. The fruit was drying out and only consisted of banana and orange slices. The cinnamon roll was extremely hard. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, but cold. Overall, I'm just bummed out. I'm hoping they're just having a bad day, but we probably wouldn't choose this spot again for breakfast. I would have preferred to leave feedback somewhere else, but I couldn't find any link on their website.

What a cool spot! This cafe is community-centered and great for meetups. The atmosphere is bright and engaging and the menu is quality. They serve food and drinks in actual dishware of plates and mugs. They are well-staffed, but the wait can be somewhat long at times. There's a lot of seating. The food is full of flavor and portions are good.

A great place to relax with friends over delicious food. The vibe was fun and the food was delicious. Their policies also reflect a caring attitude; they have a no-tip paradigm (instead setting prices for a fair wage), and they offer reusable mugs and whatnot to borrow and then return later to reduce waste.

I love butter! This is one of my favorite coffee shops, I feel very welcomed there. The coffee and pastries are excellent and there are plenty of healthy and vegetarian options for lunch like lentil soup and kale salad. They have a welcoming space for little ones as well.

For lunch — Chicken noodle soup and a mixed greens side salad. Food - A savory soup with plenty of veggies and chicken. The mixed greens brought a freshness to the plate with the variety of greens and garnishes. Top it off with a light oil and vinaigrette dressing for a warm edge to the salad. Staff - The staff here is always cordial and friendly. They have taken the time to help me make decisions on food choices and drink options. They bring your food out and provide a clean environment for casual dining. Atmosphere - The seating is varied with table and benches, stand-alone tables, and outdoor/patio options. The vibe is chill and laid back. People engaged in muted conversation and no overpowering music make this a hotspot for a business lunch or doing some options trading. Amenities - Plug-ins are available on a stand-up ledge and there are also a few around the indoor seating area. Bring an extension cord if it is busy. The restrooms are clean and stocked. Always clean tables. You might fight with a few gnats as you enjoy the live foliage.

Could you clarify the pricing on the eggs only option like the other menu items? I was told veggies are extra, but they are "already mixed in". Meat pricing is not listed although I assume it is extra.

The best lemon bar I've ever tasted. The staff is friendly and I love seeing the fair wages being worked into prices already. I walk here with my dog a fair bit too enjoy coffee outside and a snack. I love everything about the store. Can't wait to try the ice cream.

Unique place, in a culturally rich area of town. Smoothly was fantastic and well prepared. Scone was a dry, and as such, not a lot of taste. Welcoming vibe with plenty of seating and seemed to be a great gathering spot for a diverse group of people. Pet Friendly Book exchange outside the doors Internet available, although it was a bit slow the day I was there. I was able to work for a couple hours and it worked well.

Fist time here. Service was disappointing we showed up 30 minutes before close and they seemed completely checked out. i ordered a Italian soda and they didn’t know what that was so I got a hand crafted soda and about after 5-10 minutes of waiting they told me they were out of the ingredients and instead of a refund they offered a lemonade instead. Banana bread was really good though.

Seriously the best breakfast sandwich in the cities. I've come here half a dozen times and always receive great service and an amazing product. Worth every dime. I can't recommend enough.
