I gave 1 star because the place has nice aesthetics and another star because the service was decent. Overall though, the food isn’t good. The baby back ribs that cost $28 were extremely fatty. The BBQ sauce over them was good but the meat itself wasn’t worth $28. The chicken and Shrimp lettuce wraps sounded like a healthy options which is why i ordered it. When they arrived I realized its a bowl filled to the brim with nasty cooking oil. Theres barely any shrimp, its mainly just oily chicken chunks. I just expected it to be whole shrimp with grilled chicken, a more dry meal. I also recall trying this Kona location a few years ago and not being impressed with the meal, I remember telling myself I wont come again but forgot why 😂 now i remember. For $25-60 dollars per person theres much better places out there.

My family decided to try this place out for brunch based on a friends recommendation. I am sad to say our meals were lackluster and overpriced to say the least. The first thing I noticed was the lack of gluten-free options on the brunch menu. So I had to order from the main menu. Then I ordered the bottomless mimosas but they didn't have my flavor option available. We thought we'd get a hearty portion of French toast but no....6 mini pieces of mini bread with berries...nothing comes with it. Mind you, several pieces were burnt on both plates. Then I ordered chicken breast with turmeric rice. Oh boy was those 6 little pieces of chicken as well as the rice DRY! We also ordered a fried chicken sandwich that came with a side of huge wilted lettuce that looked old as hell. And yep, you guessed it...dried yesterday's chicken. Mind you, every dish was $20 or more! 1 out of 10....will not make this mistake again! Save your money and just go to Keys downtown Mpls!!!

Sake flight wasn't bad, but I personally only liked the awa Yuki sparkling. For starters we tried the ribeye meatballs and sea bass sliders, which both were delicious. For entrees, enjoyed the Korean 5 spice ribs (would 100% recommend) & the Las Vegas roll. For dessert, ordered the butter cake, not exactly what I was expecting but was okay, it was much denser then expected but the vanilla bean ice cream and raspberry sauce was delicious.

This is a great place to go for brunch, lunch & dinner. The atmosphere is awesome, nice seating for outdoors (when in season). The customer service is phenomenal which makes this place even more grand! If you want unlimited mimosa's....this is your place to be!

Great food with attentive service! Visited with a group for happy hour and ate/drank off the happy hour menu. Sushi rolls, sliders, flatbread pizza were all very good! Our server was great, always checked in on us and brought everything back quickly. The flavors of the food were delicious and difficult to describe (a good thing to not have the right words!). Easy to get to with restaurant entrance at the mall entrance and tons of parking.

Love this restaurant. Been here twice now. Loved the server and she was patient with the kids. They paid for some of the kids meal as the fries were somewhat too crispy. All the adults had ribeye steak which was very yum…kids meal were served in style as well.

Not only was the service top notch but their cuisine was epic & deliciously pleasing to the palate! I ordered their chicken & shrimp stir fry & about cried when I couldn’t finish the huge serving they gifted me. Even 4 hours later after heating up my leftovers at home, I loved every morsel, it was still amazing! Don’t change a thing Team Kona Grill, y’all killin it!

Went here with a group of friends. The food and drinks were enjoyable, although I do believe that the prices are higher than they need to be (at least for the appetizers). I can understand entrees being priced higher, but $23 for 3 sliders and fries is steep. It would be best to come back during happy hour since they have good deals at those times.

We have had both dine in and take out at Kona Grill Minnetonka recently. Our dine in experience was good. The food is good, and they have a wide variety to choose from, so there is something for everyone's palette. The servers are fantastic. In the winter, the place is a bit drafty and cold if you are seated anywhere near a window, so ask to be seated away from the garage door section. Don't get takeout, eat at the restaurant. The food is cold, and despite the best efforts to pack it well, it just doesn't travel well, ending up a mess. Good luck, and enjoy eating inside away from the garage doors!

Liked our brunch at the Kona Grill! Tried Sweet-Chili Glazed Salmon - it was good but a bit more sweet than we wanted, Macadamia Nut Chicken - loved it, Coconut Shrimp Roll- loved it, it was really unique especially the macadamia nut crunch!

I ordered sweet chili glazed salmon to go. I got home and there was no sweet chili sauce on the salmon. Salmon is dry and didn’t like the test without the sweet chili’s sauce. I am disappointed because I paid over $30 for this food and they didn’t even do it right. This was my favorite meal, but this time it wasn’t good.

Jeffrey at the bar was our guy yesterday. Not only was he professional, friendly and a great server but he made me 3 beautifully delicious margaritas. We will definitely be back and will seek him out. Thank you Jeffrey.

Very, VERY good! This is a great location to pop into for lunch or dinner if you’re out and about at Ridgedale Center. The bartender was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The hand-crafted cocktails were delicious and the food was fresh and fantastic. My only criticism would be the price- it’s a bit expensive compared to similar food offerings nearby.

This is my second time here. The first time, the wait for food took forever (40 min- 1 hour) and there were barely people there. We even saw other people who came after us that got their food first. Second time service was much better even though it was busier. Food came out right away and tasted good. Overall good experience and taste but it is pricy and doesn't have an authentic Asian taste to it in my opinion. The cake taste amazing and their drinks are fairly strong and tasty.

The server, Braeden was polite and kind. My kids really liked all the foods we ordered. Good kids menu! I loved Tuna Poke and my drink! Super sweet bartender, Carlos!! Awesome managers!!! Everyone was so nice. Thanks Kona=)

Great experience as always at Kona. I only give this 4 stars as I've been to the Eden prairie location multiple times and it would seem as if the happy hour serving are smaller at the Minnetonka location. The food is very flavorful, I had the ribeye balls, edamame, popcorn chicken. I had the the raspberry mojito and it was amazing. My wife had the sangria and she said she liked it.

The love the vibe, it’s chill, cozy, and spacious. The food was ok, the fried rice was too soft but the salmon was good. The waitress was not all that professional, but she was doing her best.

This is my second time eating at Kona. We had a great experience this time. The server named, Hong was great. He greeted us with a smile when he came to our table. He was kind, friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and very attentive. Food and drink were great too. I would definitely be back for his service again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Jeffrey is the greatest server and bartender I have ever had. His attention to detail and caring about our occasion we came to Kona Grill for warmed our hearts. You guys gotta come here and ask for Jeffrey 🫶🏼

Didn't provide fork and knife until asked after even food was served. Served tea and we asked for some suger. But the waitress forgot about it. And finally when she brought them she didn't give a stirrer or spoon. However, food was really tasty and top-notch.

The food is decent but overpriced. The sea bass sliders didn't have Hawaiian rolls. And while my husband enjoyed it I thought the bass didn't really complement the rest if the sandwich. That being said the fish was well and quite tasty on its own. The roast beef was great. Melt in your mouth. The seats are in need of upgrades and the bathroom needed some tlc.

Excellent food and excellent service. Our steaks were perfect. I would highly recommend the Ribeye meatballs as an appetizer. My husband had the lobster roll and he said it was top notch! I am not good with names but I believe our waiters name was Matt.( He told me more than once and I should remember) . He was amazing. Very helpful explaining menu. He was attentive and very welcoming. This was our first time to Kona. We are from the south and we're satisfied to find such amazing flavor in the food!

What a wonderful experience. Service was quick and the food was delicious. We drank several of their top shelf drinks so our bill was high but worth it. What made it better was that we walked from the hotel across the street.

Food wasn’t to bad. I will be back. Had to laugh at the Happy Hour potstickers. Lol for $3 you get 3 potstickers. The rolls came out room temperature which was different for me I rather had them cold. But service was great food was delicious I had the stir fry. Spicy it was. The other two had prime rib. They were not happy to to the fat on the prime rib. Lots of it. And the cooked one side of the prime rib came out looking like it was cooked in the microwave

Its a nice lookin restaurant but our waitstaff was also the bartender who was working ridiculously hard to keep up. Then the wait time for food was long also eventhough it wasn't that busy. The food was mediocre for the price as we frequent different restaurants. My husband enjoyed the steak and eggs though we can definitely argue that it wasn't a ribeye. The drinks were great and the establishment was clean so i gave it 3 stars as there is definitely room for improvement and maybe give more room between tables as a comfort and covid standard. Otherwise i can see why people frequent here.

We went in for our anniversary dinner & our server was amazing! It was later at night so we did not have much of a wait, which was awesome. The food was okay and the drinks were good. We definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Went to with a group of friends and had a great time despite some of us didn’t enjoy the food. My meat was overcooked, too dry that you could even use it to break someone’s head if you want to. The sushi was a big meh. Horrible, a waste of money! None of us ate it. A friend ordered my same dish and his was still mooing, completely raw. I had read good reviews about this place but it was a huge disappointment. The place is hip and the waitress was amazing that’s my reason to give it the second star.

This is a must go to! The menu has a vast selection and for everyone in the family. This was our first time and it was AMAZING. We had the bbq chicken flat bread. The flavor was outstanding and nice sized pieces of chicken. The Tomato Basil soup was the best I have ever had. It was creamy and bursting with flavor. The Sushi was of very good size and high quality sushi. The picture I took was after we had a few pieces. The oriental side salad was very good as well. You can tell everything is made from scratch. The atmosphere was very comfortable and welcoming. The patio has fireplaces and shade from the sun. The staff is very polite and they stay on top of making sure you are satisfied.

For the most part it was a very positive experience. The wait staff was excellent and the food was also excellent. The only downfall was of the two items I ordered they were out of both. Although it did make a correction on the check and gave me a better meal.
