I am a former New Yorker who considers themselves a “Pizza Snob”. I would never have thought that in Minot ,ND I would be blown away by AMAZING pizza! If you are ever in Minot Sammy’s is the place to make time to stop and eat at. I guess I am starting to understand the phrase, “Why not.... it’s Minot!” You will thank me for this suggestion.... just saying!

Ordered thick crust and it came out looking like a piece of lined paper. The topping fell off every piece I attempted to take out of the box. You could taste how salty it was and the garlic cheese bread had a quarter sized sharp piece of plastic cooked into the cheese. First and only experience at this place.

Took me a long time to get around to trying out Sammy's, and I wish it hadn't. I kind of ended up going in between meal times so it was not busy at all. I tried some pasta and garlic bread. The pasta was good and the garlic bread was amazing. I totally expected it to be harder and crunchy, but it was soft and flavored perfectly. The only critique I have was the chicken I ordered with the pasta really didn't have any flavor and/or it just didn't pair well with the pasta. I can't wait to come back and try their meatball and/Italian sausage instead. I also hear great things about the pizza and will want to give that a try as well! Overall a good experience and I plan on coming back to try more of their menu options.

I strongly recommend staying away from Sammies Pizza . Our family tried a medium size pizza and two pasta dishes from there yesterday evening . The Pizza was alright , the pastas were inedible and our sodas were flat. My children would not even eat the pasta. We spent about $100.00 on the meal. I just now called the pizza restaurant to politely speak to the manager and give her our feedback. Angie, the manager wanted to argue our experience and sarcastically offer $.95 back for the flat sodas. The pasta dishes I could swear were microwaved but she claims their sauces are homemade. The vegetables are clearly frozen cut mixed vegetables and the noodles were over cooked . The manager had the opportunity to make it right and chose a defensive and incompetent route . I suggest finding a better quality and service local pizza eatery .

This place has some rocking pizza. Normally get a cheese pizza and drinks. It is on the more pricey side for food, but it’s always consistent which makes it totally worth it for pizza. Nice owners, always willing to come up to your table and check on how the food was. Nice !

Sammy's beef, mushroom and onion pizza is hands down the best pizza made! Don't dismiss this incredible combination of flavor simply because you never order pizza with these toppings. Trust me!! One taste and you too will drive an hour and a half in snow to get your fix!!

I used to enjoy Sammy's, their pizza and pasta is very good. Unfortunately, I ordered some to-go last night, and within a couple hours of eating I started getting intense stomach cramps. Seven hours of squirming in bed finally made me vomit, and again several after that. I am still incredibly sick, laid up in bed, and weak. I ordered and ate the spaghetti with marinara, the garlic bread, and some leafy greens with ranch. I'm pregnant and now very concerned about my baby because I can't be positive what germ made it's way into my body. Great food but can no longer support the restaurant because cross-contamination prevention must not be strictly enforced, or there has been an employee hired that does not take proper care.

I was passing through Minot on a road trip and was getting pretty hungry so I got out my phone to look for food nearby. I was shocked to see a Sammy's pizza location all the way out in Minot! there's tons of Sammy's restaurants in Minnesota, where it was founded, but it was such a pleasant surprise to see one out here on my road trip. I've been employed at a Sammy's pizza location in Minnesota for a while and their pizza never disappoints and there was certainly no exception for the Minot location. The Sammy's special is always a go-to for me, I highly recommend it!

Loved the atmosphere. Service was excellent. Definitely will go back and see if we can get this to a 5 star review!

Excellent pizza. Everyone from the cashier to the server was very polite, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I enjoyed the cozy Italian atmosphere. The pricing is a little above average, but nothing that will break the bank account. And all the above makes it worth it. I will definitely visit Sammy's again.

Food is delicious! I absolutely love their pizzas, I'm not a fan of a thin layer ground beef on mine personally so I tend to not go for that, but if that's your thing you're in the right place! I think the online ordering is a little wonky right now, we ordered a specific pizza and tried to order large but no matter what size you chose, at the end it said small. But you pay for what you get, I just think we'll call and order from now on just in case. Very friendly staff and a wonderful dining area. Can't wait to go and try their other items

Well we tried Sammy’s for the first time tonight. I wanted to love it but I dont find myself honestly saying that. I do find it to be over priced especially once I saw the portion sizes. By the time taxes and credit card processing fee were added that was around 7 or 8$ in additional fees. The flavor was decent, but mild. It was also very greasy, which I don’t particularly mind but can be difficult on the digestive tract. I got the thin crust pizza. Did not particularly care for the pepperonis being underneath of the cheese because then they don’t crisp up, but that is just a personal preference ultimately. If I had known that was the way it came I would have requested them placed on top. Maybe the double thick crust would have been the better option, I may try that at a later time. I Did not try any of the soups or salads but I don’t think we were missing out on much. Would I eat here again? Sure. But is it worth the price? Absolutely not.

Don't get the sandwiches. Got the Italian dip and it came with 6 tiny pieces of pepperoni, two slices of salami, and three small pieces of ham. We took it back and they let us pay the difference for a Pizza, which is much better.

Pretty disappointed with the pizza from here. It’s very expensive (wouldn’t have been an issue if it was good pizza). The toppings were bad quality. The crust is so thin is just dissolved and got soggy and the pizza was SO greasy. I don’t recommend eating here.

Had a reservation for 6:30 pm finally seated at 7:15 after being told that our table was in one area and finding that it was already taken. We were then told they would have another table ready for our party of 10 "in a few minutes". That table remained occupied after we had eaten and paid. One member of our party was served food that was undercooked and inedible. The waitress brought a tray of drinks which she promptly spilled wetting the back and purse of our host and on the shoes of her husband. She did not check to see that they were alright or offer any apology for the accident. When the bill was presented, they added a credit card charge (we paid cash) and a large tip. When we refused to pay both (but paid fully for the food) we were told by the very rude and loud manager on duty (in front of all other patrons in the area) that it was required and we weren't allowed to leave yet. Let's just add unlawful detainment to poor customer service.

Sammy's is great Ambiance, the smells get me... You can't wait have their pizza. Gosh its delicious. Very old world style. When it comes to Italian ish, in this city, Sammy's is actually quite a great tribute.

If you don't care what I have to say, then don't go through the motion of asking how the food is as you walk by my table. Awesome soup, the best kneophla! Great ambiance. Tired buffet that no one seems to check, even after I mentioned it was low. 10 laces of dried out linguini in a bin is not ok. Awesome garlic bread, but only a few heels left in the bin. Dry chicken seemed to have been sitting there for hours, tough to chew. Canned chocolate pudding? C'mon, do better. A box of brownie mix is a buck, throw it in a skillet. Inedible cracker/crust under the dessert pizza. I'm not a fan of their pizza, but I'm a NY'er, Sammy's isn't my style pizza. Another site advertised kids eat free Tuesday at Sammy's. I was told they don't do those specials any more. No concern for which site is misadvertising them or desire to accommodate me. $23 for 1 adult and 1 kid buffet, with water. Sorry to say, Pizza Ranch is $15 for me on Kids Eat Free Tuesday. And the buffet is kept stocked. I would choose the local guy over the chain, but the local guy's staff doesn't seem to care about ME.

Sammy’s is a minot institution. It’s family owned and operated. One of the best places to eat in the city. Pizza, pasta, chicken, soup, it’s all good. I’ve been going with my family since I was a child. I would not change a thing about this restaurant. It’s perfect.

If you love pizza, you'll love Sammy's!!! I ordered their special and then had them make a weird one-off pizza. It's always piping hot, fresh to order, and constructed of the best quality ingredients. Don't be a square and try their square slices. You'll never be disappointed with Sammy's. Their my go-to, make them your's too. 10/5 Stars!!!

I don’t recommend. I asked for a cheese pizza and by the time I made it home, it was a beef pizza in which I paid an extra 3 dollars for.

First time having Sammy’s, and was GREAT! In Minot for a kid’s hockey game, and decided to order take-out when we got to hotel, after 5hr road trip. We ordered family size pepperoni pizza, meatball sandwich, Italian dip sandwich, breadsticks, side salad, and spicy cheese curds. Lady who took order over phone was very nice. She also gave me my order when I arrived. Customer service was great, and the happiness and appreciation for my business was shown through and through. I asked for plates and some extra blue cheese, and she got it, and actually apologized for it taking too long to get it (which I didn’t even think was an issue). All of the food tasted great, and still thinking about how great the customer service was, even for a take-out order. We will definitely be ordering from here again when back in Minot. Thank you for going above and beyond on a take out order, and for delivering way beyond what was expected!
