Marble & wooden sculpture, paintings and ancient magazines, mesmerizing details of art works are within this museum.

It wasn’t the food that inspired me on this short trip to Minsk, it was the artworks of one 19th century landscape painter, Ivan Aivazovsky. His piece “Night at Rodos Island” is sublime. The art works in this large gallery are expansive in period range and scale. There was an exhibit on horses and horse related art works that I found fascinating.

A wonderful place to go to see some current exhibits. When I went, they had a new exhibit on the color red and how it relates to the Belarusian people. I found it interesting and the descriptions were well written. I have been several times and will continue to go back when they implement more exhibits as the rest of the museum doesn't change.

(Translated by Google) The place is good, the pictures are very beautiful, but one thing shocked me! I came with a friend to take some beautiful photos, but the woman at the checkpoint told us that you can't take pictures with a camera, you can only use a phone. Because pictures taken with the camera are regarded as a photo session. That is, it turns out that we have to pay 75p for poor lighting, for not very good composition, for losing the opportunity to take a good shot. While my friend at the beginning of the year went there to take pictures, and no one said a word to her. As a result, we were left with nothing for 10 rubles.

(Translated by Google) When we visited the museum for the last and only time, the staff was rude, the same situation in the cloakroom. You will have to pay extra for a photo ON THE PHONE, and if you want to use your camera (or other shooting), then there is a huge amount. The impression is good, but spoiled.

Compared to similar museums in other countries this is not a very big one, but it holds an excellent exhibition (mostly of paintings and some sculptures) by some great artists. The entry costs only 6byn, so there is no reason of thinking it too much. It really worths a visit.

(Translated by Google) An excellent collection of Russian artists. Probably the largest collection in the Republic of Belarus. A beautiful museum building. Inside there are shops with good and, most importantly, quality souvenirs, there is a restaurant / cafe. Walking through the halls is very convenient, easy navigation. I liked everything very much. Amazing collection of art, however the presentation and the lighting are horrible. Missing professional touch. Also, offers no discounts to kids and seniors. No elevator to the second floor.

Small but good organized permanent exposition. There are too much works of known masters. Right now you can also see Dali's exposition here. And it's too expressive as for me.

(Translated by Google) Yesterday we decided to go out with a friend to the art museum. And you know, every time I was there, I seemed to gain strength, but yesterday something went wrong. The first thing that caught my eye after the paintings was the number of caretakers. In some, even small rooms, there were 2 employees. And no, they would not have confused me at all, if not for one but. We arrived at the museum an hour before the end of its work and were almost the only visitors. From the employees it was clear that mentally they were already going home and our appearance did not make them happy. That's okay, but then there were endless claims against us. Then take off your bags, step away there, and somewhere behind us they generally followed on our heels. And in general, the message “what did they come for ?! We didn't call you! ”. As a result, we even left earlier than planned, because during the entire time that we were there, there was tension. As a result, the whole impression of going to the museum was ruined, well, really, it should be so ?!
