I tried Taxco for the very first time today with a few family members. We got the guacamole appetizer, which was ok. It was a bit on the bland side. I wish it had a little more spice. I ordered the taco and enchilada, beef. The meat was a bit dry and not very seasoned. I get more seasoning from Taco Bell. The rice was fairly bland and the enchilada didn't have much cheese. The refried beans were really tasty. The service was really good. The waiters were extremely friendly and quick. I think they should update their menus, as they look dated and a bit dirty (I'm sure they're sanitized well, it's just the look of it). Covid protocols: Everyone wears masks. There's hand sanitizing stations. They sanitize in-between visits. I saw workers cleaning constantly while there. The people I came with seemed to enjoy the food and time. For me, it's a very average score as I wasn't a huge fan of the food.

As good as local owned Mexican for you will find! Everything I've had is fresh, excellent.

Went for dinner and was disappointed. No refried beans or rice included with burrito item we chose. Kept hearing great things about this place so gave it another try for lunch. I was totally impressed. Very reasonable pricing. Big selection of $7.95 items that included rice, beans, chips and salsa. I ordered the lunch fajitas ($10.95) Delicious! Perhaps I should ask questions about the dinner menu next time we go.

First timer here! I’m used to American style Mexican food - smothered in cheesy goodness. 😂 I’m guessing this is more authentic Mexican food. I ordered a beef quesadilla and it was super small like taco size, along with rice beans and salad. It was decent but not amazing. I expected the quesadilla to be larger. My daughter ordered chicken poblano and she liked it. I really appreciated the attentive service and the atmosphere. The Mexican restaurant I normally have been to has put creepy skeleton pictures on the walls, so I‘be been looking for a new place. Taxco atmosphere is colorful and cute with authentic table decor. I loved it. I will give this place another try and order something g different. I hope to be able to update my review with 5 stars after another visit with amazing food.

Nice place, service was great. The Server was very nice and attentive. I had Chicken fajitas and started eating them before I took my pic. Sorry!!! But trust me, they were good. I think a little more spice would have made them perfect. I will ask for spicy the next time. Went during lunch service and still couldn't eat it all. They were very accommodating in giving me extra tortillas to take home with my leftovers. I would definitely go back. The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms.

Great food and lots of choices! So happy they have tamales - these are excellent. Overall a great place to eat.

The food wast very good tasting. Service was timely. No lemonade at that time available. Seating was fast at that rime around 7pm. Liquor available.

Food was great and the staff are incredibly friendly. During our visit a customer became unruly because she wanted to drink without an ID…but management handled it flawlessly and deescalated the situation. We will be back soon!

Today we used the large room for mom's 90th Birthday. We had 24 people but that was not a problem. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!! A great time was had by all! Thank you so much!

Really love this place! Food is delish with lots of options. Plus there’s always a special going on during lunch hours. I love the indoor and outdoor dining. Staff is always amazing. Such a great find in the Mint Hill area. Would totally recommend!

So glad a friend recommended this for us to try! House margarita was really,really good. We tried steak fajitas and a burrito. Both were dishes we would order again. Free chips and salsa (it’s pretty hot!) so we added a cheese dip which was smooth with a hint of jalapeño. All super tasty and reasonably priced.

My family's go-to for Mexican food in the area! I can't say I've tried many dishes, I seem to always get the chicken taco salad, but I can say this dish is spot on every time. The queso and chips are a must! They are always quick and attentive. And are great with specializing my kids' order to make them happy!

Was looking for a place to eat on a Saturday night and majority other things close early and I found this restaurant. The food was great and they were quick with the order as it was to go.

My friend and I decided to eat at this place as our original place we decided upon was closed. She has been here several times and loves it. This was my first time, and on a Friday night, we were surprised to see that there was no wait. Now I don't eat dinner usually so I just tagged a long and ordered a glass of wine. Place was like any normal Mexican restaurant. I'm pretty spacious with a lot of seating options. All the servers and employees were super friendly, and the service was great. I ended up ordering their wings, but I will say I was not a fan. They were very crispy, and some parts burnt, so I'm not a huge fan, but now I know for next time. Overall, I will probably come again during lunch and especially since it is super close to my house.

I've been here a few times now. Pleased with everything we have had. Service is always adequate or better depending on your server and their work load. Costs are reasonable.

Went there with my family after my grandson was baptized. It was late. They had great food. It is a little on the small side but the server did a really good job, wasn't perfect but he had a great personality and was very nice. I would recommend.

We go here way too much. It's affordable and good quality. The staff are always great. Lunch specials are a great deal for some items like the steak burrito. A la carte is also great when you don't want rice and beans. Great beer specials depending on the day of the week. This is easily our go-to spot.

Very tasty food, good portion, and a good price. I was not able to take a photo of the food before it had disappeared, really good flavor for my steak burrito. They do have some pretty big beers on tap, which was highly appreciated. For the price, this is a great value restaurant, definitely looking forward to returning.

The food is good, don’t go on Friday night or Saturday night, is packed. I have ordered take out twice, the first time the tacos were salty but we ate it. I ordered a Naked burrito but didn’t know that is not wrapped so expect an open tortilla with everything on it. That is not a burrito for me but managed to eat it. Second time I ordered the Gordo burrito, well this was not a burrito either. If you are selling a burrito, wrap it well, secure both ends and that way, us customers don’t end with all the food on our lap because the burrito had both ends OPEN. Flavor is good but please do better with the burritos!

I absolutely love this place, the customer service is phenomenal. The people that work here are so welcoming and so polite. I feel like family when I order food from here. Good people, good service, good food.

Taxco always has good food and service. They were so helpful the other night when I ordered catering from another restaurant and didn’t end up having enough food. They prepared extra meat for me quickly and Sandra at the front was so helpful! Happy to have them so close by

Tried this Mexican restaurant (Mint Hill location) for the first time the other day, and the food was delicious. Definitely will go back soon. The chips were nice and fresh, and the entrées were excellent (Veggie Burrito & the Carnitas). The salsa was good, but a little salty and the guacamole decent. I'm not sure if it was a one-time seasoning "thing" or regular thing, but I will definitely be back to find out! 🤣

Best Mexican Food in the area. Tried most of the other places around. No one compares. Worth the money. Love this place.

Friendly staff, one of the best Mexican food myself and my family has had since we've moved to NC. It wasn't to loud, nice atmosphere, enjoyed watching the baseball game on the TV while we indulged on the made in restaurant chips and salsa prior to our more than generous size meals being served. We definitely plan on going back soon to try more of what's on the menue.

This place is so good! We always seem to have the same waiter. Awesome service and awesome food...every single time we go!

Service was bad, she wouldn't let us finish our order without saying,,ok. Said my son didn't ask for his cheese in a bowl instead of on his burrito. So basically Said he was lying. Margaritas came no salt after she asked if we wanted salt and said yes. We asked for mild salsa she laughed and said no mild salsa with chips. Ordered queso cheese, never got it but was charged. Paid my bill and left, never want to waste my time again.

Stopped by for dinner. Service was friendly and our food came out quickly. Good size portions with enough for lunch tomorrow. I love the availability of 'jamaica' aka cold hibiscus tea.

The name Taxco is most likely derived from the Nahuatl place name Tlachco, which means "place of the ballgame". What that has to do with Mexican food, I don't know. But they do have food here. Pretty good food.

All the staff are great. Always good food. I highly recommended eating here.

Moved to Charlotte almost two years ago and have tried several Mexican restaurants, none of them compare to Taxco! We ordered 5 entrees, Chimichanga, Carnitas, Tacos’s, Burrito, and a kids meal. All were very good! If you like spicy, they have a hot sauce available upon request (different from the salsa). This will definitely be our go-to Mexican restaurant from now on. Thank you

Excellent local Mexican Restaurant! Eat there for lunch a lot. They lost our favorite waiter (passed away) earlier this year, so I just wanted to give a shout out to a favorite, family friendly, restaurant. Always a good meal - no disappointments and reasonably priced!

I took my Mom to eat at Texco and I have to say that I am very impressed. The chicken tacos and the chicken spinach quesadilla were outstanding.... The flavors were fresh and unique. I plan to visit again in the near future. I definitely recommend Taxco Mexican Grill in Mint Hill....

Fajitas are to be served sizzling. They served our fajitas on a cold plate! When a Mexican restaurant starts doing this lazy practice I never go back.
