New favorite restaurant in town!!! Hubby had the Ranchero Steak. I had Pollo Con Crema Chicken dish. We shared a large queso and it was also really good, as was their complementary salsa and chips. We both enjoyed our dishes that came with a tasty side of Mexican rice and beans. Absolutely delicious food and huge portions were very filling!!! Everything was hot, fresh and yummy! Enjoyed the phenomenal service from our waiter. Can’t wait to be back again soon!!!

Came here yesterday found a hair in my food was told it was my hair, my hair color is not dirty blonde,very poor costumer service. It was very hot! No AC Witness the owner/manger throwing a plate a food at a customer who ask for a refund.

We have gotten takeout from here multiple time. The food is always good and the quality is consistent. My wife is a vegetarian and they have been great

I got the chicken fajita that came with refried beans, rice, guacamole and sour cream. It was super delicious. The refried beans were the best me and my husband ever had. The rice had good flavor and the pepper and onion mixed with the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will say service is more on the slow side but besides that- this has been one of the best Mexican restaurants we have tried so far.

This place is really very average. The food was not very good. The staff are very unfriendly. You wont see me here again.

Ordered a pitcher of margaritas and there was hardly a drop of tequila in the mix. I called and told them to verify that they put liquor in their drinks. Their response was less than satisfactory. They said the next drink is on the house - one drink for a pitcher of margaritas is not quite right. Won’t be going back there again. To their credit the food was good but no better than any other Mexican restaurant.

First time visits mean a lot when you're looking for something to complain about....i couldn't find anything...lol From the little lady that brought out the nice warm chips and very tasty salsa to the hostess...both were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. When the food arrived it was hot and fresh. The restrooms were clean and odor free. Looks like a fully stocked bar with a TV overhead. I had passed by the restaurant over time just watching it wondering how long it would last...and while waiting noticed that the customers were growing and the weekends were looking busy. That's always a good sign the weekend nights. There's plenty of parking and they have a five day lunch special. Meaning theres a different special daily....thats always a plus. The prices are really good also.

Really friendly! Super clean & well lit restaurant! Atmosphere is a lot of fun & festive! The food was great! Super delicious! The staff was very kind, very overwhelmed! Did a great job regardless!

Not sure about food. Didn't get to eat here and didn't want to hurt ratings. But wanted to warn any other google mappers about the opening times. Just drove 35 min from S. Charlotte. And the restaurant is closed because google maps said El Valle was open. It was not. Please adjust hours on google maps. Thanks.

Ate here last Monday evening and was not pleased! Ordered white cheese dip (Queso) for the chips. It was watered down like crazy. Couldn’t get it to stay on a chip! My wife ordered bean dip for dinner. Again, was watered down with maybe a couple of spoons of beans. I ordered all chicken on a #26. Didn’t get it and waited for a replacement meal while those with me ate their meals. Not happy at all with paying $50 for meals for three with these issues!!! This spot no longer on my list!

The fajita bowl was huge and on special on sunday! It was delicious got a side order of tortillas to go with it. The Texas margarita was delicious and our service was fantastic

Saw restaurant while in shopping lot. Interior had a great Mexican atmosphere. Immediately greeted and sat. Chips/salsa were good. Salsa could have been a tad more spicy for my tastes. I ordered a beef burrito lunch special. Substituted beans for the rice. He brought me out a huge taco! Looked good but not what I ordered. Brought out burrito. Looked great! Asked for hot sauce. Brought out Cholula and a house made sauce, Wow, house made was delicious! The burrito was delicious. Good food. Will be back.

This review is overdue. I used Uber Eats for lunch on Friday, 12-15-22. Another long work day meant this order was for both lunch and dinner. I ordered shrimp quesadillas, mexican corn, flan, and orange salsa. I took one star away because I did not receive the orange salsa with my order; only the regular salsa that came with the chips. The food was very filling.

Been to both locations and will not be going back to Mint Hill. We sat at the bar and there is a lack of customer service or personality, was told they only have pre-made margaritas available, so can’t customize tequila option, spent a lot of money for two people who shared a meal with mediocre food quality.

The food is soo good and fresh every single time. The service is good. Sometimes they have more customers than they do servers, so it could be a short wait. But they are friendly and attentive.

Server and atmosphere was nice but when I commented that my chicken tasted like it was freezer burnt and my daughter chicken nuggets were sour I got nothing but attitude from the manager. I’ve worked restaurant work and I know customer service. The manager sent the server over to tell me bc I fed my 18month old twins the rice off the same plate he wouldn’t compensate for the chicken. My daughter ate only the rice and he still charged full price for her plate. My husband politely addressed the manager and he said I should have said something before eating the rice. The rice wasn’t the problem it was the freezer burnt chicken. The server even said the chicken was dry on the top…so not fresh for sure. We don’t go out much and definitely won’t go here again. Health department needs to visit here or I’ll call Chef Ramsey

Love this place when I am on that side of town I always eat there. Prices are good. Always have drink specials which is important to me. An always good service. Very low key spot

This was our 3rd time eating from El Valle. The first time was during the day...great, speedy service. 2nd time I called ahead and went to pick it up (Cinco de Mayo...aka my bday). Everything was great. Tonight we ended up there by chance and we were looking forward to a delicious meal. Not tonight. I believe our waitress was new but she did the best she could. There was an amazing young man checking on everyone from time to time and he gave us queso dip because we had been waiting so long for our order. I can't say anything negative about our experience with the front staff. We finally got our food after quite a while, maybe 45 minutes. I ordered the burrito & enchilada combo. My beans were extremely runny and I LITERALLY could not cut into the enchilada. The awesome young man offered to replace it and I accepted. I was honestly getting full by this time and he asked if I wanted it to go, which I did. I was pleasantly surprised to see they gave me 2 enchiladas. I haven't eaten them yet because I am still full from the meal. We were very disappointed by the wait time, the amount of ice in my Piña Colada, the consistency of the beans, and the condition of my enchilada. Again, the staff we encountered were very pleasant and apologetic. But I'm not sure we'll be back and that's unfortunate because it's closer to us than our usual Mexican restaurant. I'm not sure what the issue was but I hope they have better nights than tonight.

Great food, horrible dining that wasn’t their fault. The menu is great… much more on it than a typical Mexican restaurant including some things I haven’t seen before. Inside was clean and tidy and the wait staff was very friendly. That being said, the table next to us had three devices blaring for their children at high volume clearly disrupting the dining experiences of the other customers. I told my server to mention it, but they can only do so much. Would eat here again in a heart beat… just maybe not near a table full of children.

I ordered chicken burrito and beef burrito, when I open it, it does not look good, covered with whole sausage and a lot of cheese which I didnt order, I could not even grap it as a burrito. I eventually put it in trash.

EL VALLE is known for for great food quality and service. Today at the Mint Hill location, that was not the status quo! This server didn't need to come to work today with that lackadaisical attitude and no care for guest! I reported this to the manager on duty in front of the server as to have no hidden agenda, and out of pure FREAKIN pity, I tipped $1! I will just have to relegate myself to the Matthews location where service & great food come in unison EVERY DAMN TIME!

Ordered on DoorDash and the quality was still amazing !! I got the Birria tacos and couldn’t have been happier.

Good place for a quick lunch. Specials are very reasonably priced and very filling. Server could have been a little more attentive to the table needs. We will be back again though.

Nasty. No flavor. Beans had no seasoning taste like they microwaved them from a can. Rice was oily and had no flavor. The tacos were the same way. NO FLAVOR! I should've just ordered Taco Bell, would've been cheaper and tastier.

Always happy with the food here, and the online ordering experience is top notch. Great way to make sure you get meals prepared exactly as you want them--I have one kiddo who can't have dairy, so no cheese for them. Pick up of online order was fast and smooth too!

The dude in the red shirt that looks like Pablo Escobar does not have the right personality to be tending bar. He moves around too much and don't pay attention to what he's doing. He left my food sitting up in the window for 15 minutes and when I got it everything was Stone Cold. He's just plain weird.

I had the grilled chicken enchilada with salsa verde, it was gigantic and delicious! The horchata was good too! Very friendly people working there!

The first time Mom and I ate at El Valle, the food was pretty good. Service slow, but the place was clean and pleasant. However, I brought Mom back today and I think they poured salt into my food. I could not eat the food, but Mom had the same dish and her food was not salty. I will not go back. There were 4 people, counting us, and I had to ask for water. They are not very hospitable and honestly, need to hire an upbeat waiter. Good luck....

Very busy, of course it was Cinco de mayo day. Waiter was good, food was good... waiting for the food was far too long. We asked him about it and he said they were working on it. About 10 minutes later, we get Luke warm food and one order was wrong. After asking for the 2nd Chimi that should have been with our order, he said he would let the kitchen know. Tired of waiting we asked for the bill. Paid and then the Chimi comes. Get a go box, tried it because it was actually hot, it wasn't correct. Ordered beef, got chicken. Left without saying anything. Not sure if I will return.
