I've come here with my son a few times, and I definitely see why folks recommend it for comfort food. Comfy atmosphere, diverse selection of food options, and relatively prompt ordering, order cook to table time, and friendly employees. The kids' meals are full size, so most kids will be filled up. You can get the meals (like hot dogs and hamburgers) as plain or dressed up as your kid prefers. The kids' meals aren't reinventing the wheel - they are just solid core options a parent might expect and get the job done! I've had the hamburger steak twice w/ gravy and onions, and a double cheese burger with the works (it was one of the mid-week specials). Burger was definitely solid but I wouldn't go as far as some of the other reviews saying best in the city. That hamburger steak w/gravy is awesome - awesome enough that it'll be tough not to make that my regular order when I go there, instead of exploring the menu more! Typical regular and southern sides available (fried Okra, Mac, crinkle fries, onion rings, mash and gravy, etc.) A lot of sides available, so you'll find a combo that fits your taste. Also, for the amount of food you get, price is great! Dining experience is order at the counter, sit, and they'll bring the food to you. The employees circle the dining room and fill fountain drinks as needed. They are pretty attentive, so you shouldn't have to wait long before your beverage is refilled. Super nice, too, always taking time to interact with my kiddo and keeping the dining area clean! Definitely a solid place to visit for a good meal at a great price. Recommend you give it a try if you're in the area!

Really great comfort food! The fried chicken was made to order (took 20 minures, but they let us know that before we ordered) Got the fried flounder was so good, got it peppered and salted, very very very good! You get 2 sides and bread with the dinners. The potatoes were buttery goodness. It's a bit far out but wellw worthit. The atmosphere is diner like, not fancy. Greatest diamond in the rough.

This place is awesome. They are always friendly. We had a church luncheon scheduled at another restaurant and that restaurant closed but didn't call us. I called Ted's right quick and they took us right in and we ordered and didn't have to wait that long for our food. It was great food also.

My family and i stopped by here for lunch the other day. Nice little place. The staff were super friendly as soon as we walked in. I ordered the chicken philly, my wife ordered the fish sandwich, and my son got the kids hamburger. Food was good and hot! My wife didn't enjoy her sandwich tho. Said there was too much tartar sauce for the size of the fish in the sandwich. The chicken philly was great! Only thing is they don't have cucumbers. Which makes me wonder, how you gonna have greek dishes, but no cucumbers to make tzatziki sauce?? Had a good experience overall and would try them again.

Neat little diner with really good service and a wide menu selection. Lots of locals were eating there so pretty good recommendation there.

Ordered from here on Uber and they completely messed up my order and gave me a very stale desert that had to be at least 2 weeks old. And one of my sides that should have been put in a separate container was not. Just lazy and a very poor experience, wouldn’t recommend for delivery.

This place is amazing... definitely an awesome place for a lunch alone or with a small group if you're looking for some "gramma's kitchen" type nostalgic deliciousness... I spent under $15 for the current Thursday special with an extra side and it's on point... healthy/realistic portion sizes, perfectly cooked veggies, and wallet friendly... I'LL BE BACK!!!

My fiancée and I have been going to Teds for years! They have the bestttt pita burgers and their Greek chicken is also Amazing. We order out from them at least 2x a week. Also, we are obsessed with their gallon sweet tea. My fiancée is a southern boy and that’s all he drinks and it’s by far the best! Such an awesome local spot. If you do check it out make sure to try their Oreo cheesecake too. Soooo freaking good! Also, Quick shout out to the staff who are always super friendly and attentive. They know our orders by memory by now and are always super sweet when we come in! By far one of our favorite places on the East Side.

I really should have left this review a long time ago, as a regular i can say that the staff here are super friendly and helpful, it feels like a gem that I would find in my small hometown back in (the middle of nowhere) SC, because the service is great and personable! The food is delicious like a home-cooked meal! You can taste the difference even though it's served up fast, it's definitely not fast-food. I've worked up the road from this place for nearly 5 years and our office loves Ted's and eats here often! The reviews speak for themselves, try it out! My absolute favorite is the fried chicken sandwich with their crinkle cut fries and ranch, they have the absolute best fried chicken sandwich - the seasoning is amazing and some of the best home-made ranch. You won't regret eating here, very reasonably priced as well. Thanks for the consistently amazing service, Ted's! Ya'll are killing it :)

The greek chicken and salad is delicious.

I’ve been coming to Ted’s for years now. The food is always excellent and fast! The service is the best. Both of the ladies that work here are the nicest. My favorite meal is the Grecian chicken with their Greek side salad. I also love their chicken pitas. Try this place and you will become a regular in no time.

Foods great,been eating there for years! I have to give them 1 star, just for not taking this virus seriously!The cashier has her mask off, most of the people who came in had no mask at all and still was served.The cook has no mask on I noticed as I picked up my order from up front. The craziest thing was not one person went to wash their hands the whole 20mins I was there,not even the 2 police officers that were in there. "Coronavirus hot spot" If you're trying to get covid 19 try here! Your guaranteed to get it. I just tossed my food in the trash! They can have them $8..Disgusted......

I had a Gyro platter with extra cucumber sause and onion rings. It was veey covid compliant with barrier walls and the staff was super friendly. They serve greek - american stples and it is hit fresh and very good and mid priced affordable with large portions and good seating. I was very pleased in cook time and table courier service. Well done folks! Good in and out for lunch

Always love this place!!

Kept taking phone orders in the middle of us ordering in store, then those people were able to come in and get their food before us. I ordered a dinner entree with fries, and got rice instead which was cold. My girlfriend got a salad, which was nothing but lettuce, one tomato slice, and a few pieces of onion.

This place is so underrated. Some of the best comfort food in the city. Reasonable prices, speedy service, and excellent customer service. I’ve had Teds for the first time last month and I’ve not left since. You’ll definitely get your moneys worth here- you won’t be disappointed!
