Our family of 5 stayed for a couple nights around the new year so it was a bit pricey, also because we needed a larger room. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations. Sofa bed had stains, carpet was poorly vacuumed, mattress protector had stains on the side, only 2 towels for larger room, no bedding in room for sofa bed so we had to go request, breakfast had very few options. I travel for work and often hotels will offer oatmeal, boiled eggs, etc. This hotel however had very few options. We made it work but I did expect better for the price.

Worst over-night front desk person we've ever encountered. My husband had his wallet stolen while he was at the hotel pool last week during our stay. It was around 9pm so the pool was empty, except for one employee who was walking around. We are fairly certain she was the person who stole the wallet. When we got a notification from our bank around 5am that there were over $200 of fraudulent charges on our debit account, my husband realized he couldn't find his wallet anywhere. So he went down to the front desk to see if anyone had turned it in. My husband told the person the situation and they just stared at him and said "And....?". The person was so rude, had zero customer service and couldn't be bothered to lift a finger to help him. In fact, the whole time my husband was trying to talk to her, she had a Bluetooth in her ear and she was clearly trying to talk to someone on her Bluetooth so she kept ignoring what my husband was trying to say to her. I'm baffled how someone like that can manage to get a job. This hotel should be ashamed for hiring such a person as their front desk person.

Did the mobile check in when arrived they demanded the physical credit card before I could enter the hotel just wanted to stop and drop off my bags and said I’d bring the credit card back later would not accept it. They demand the credit card at that time I’ve been a titanium member, I’ve never been treated so rudely and the whole point of the mole check in is to avoid situation just like this move my reservations to the courtyard Marriott down the road. One person can ruin a whole trip or a business is reputation and this clerk did a really good job of that .

The worst stay of my family’s life, a stranger came into our room and stole jewelry, purses and money, but the worst thing was the lack of attention and service from the manager, Walter, and when we went to him. He did not give us any attention or help, taking away absolutely all the importance to the fact and revealing the lack of liking of the Latinos. Apart from a dangerous incident that occurred days before when a small part of the roof covering in the restaurant fell, suffering 3 people without receiving even an apology from this manager. Do not stay at this Hotel, it is unsafe and has a very bad manager.

Pros: Room was clean and big. Nice decor. Cons: The room did not have body lotion. Breakfast was a disappointment. Bread was hard and so were the bagels. The almonds and raspberries smelled as stale. So, definitely they can do better there. The pool gate was not opening at 10 am :) No-one wants to walk to the front desk for everything.

This is a nice business style hotel, with some modern updates. The room was clean, and being a business hotel, the room was larger than normal. The mattress seemed old and lumpy, and the pillows were very thin and flat. There was a light brown stain covering about 10% of one pillow case. I called the front desk and asked for more pillows, but was told there were no extras in the entire hotel. I was lucky though, and found a house keeper who swapped out the dirty pillow case. The room also smelled like smoke, even though this is supposed to be a non smoking hotel. Luckily I only needed to stay one night. I would not suggest staying at this Springhill hotel. There is a Hampton Inn next door that is probably much better, if you need to stay in this area.

seem like a starter hotel. nothing much to say about it. pool was kind of on the tiny side. breakfast in the morning was okay. I know the lady was working hard to keep the food stocked. can't really say a whole lot about the place. I wouldn't go back anytime within the next couple of years. until they get better staffing. I couldn't even pull my shades up. I asked for it to be repaired. no call no show. I've spent money elsewhere for much better quality than I received at this place.

After reading the recent reviews I was hesitant to book this hotel, however I did and am thankful for doing so. The hotel is clean, large rooms thoughtfully laid out. The staff were good, not incredibly outgoing but nice. And the breakfast was great. We even used the pool and it was very clean. Also, there were not ants anywhere as previous posts mentioned ruined. Hopefully issue resolved.

This is one of my go to hotels when I come down south to visit now. The staff members are always nice to me, great location, free parking, free breakfast, decent size rooms, and pretty clean. I was pretty hesitant after reading some of the reviews but it's really not that bad. I am very picky and used to staying at upscale hotels, so I know a bad hotel when I see one and from my experience, it's not a bad hotel. If you are looking for a decent hotel on a budget, I would recommend SpringHill by Marriott. I was tired of paying $25 to $50 a night for parking for short weekend trips at some of the hotels and Airbnb's down south. I can enjoy my short stay without my pockets breaking. It's definitely a preference...you pay for what you get. If you want luxury you need to pay for it, so you can't really complain. I hope I never experience what I read, because I actually like this hotel. I would recommend that they add room service, I love room service.

This is our first time staying here. Great service Clean, excellent, spacious room. Especially loved the modern bathroom style. Close to all major food places and shopping mall. I was happy with the breakfast Overall great experience. Would definitely recommend a stay.

When I checked in the staff member didn’t even check my ID. Upon arrival in the room it was disgusting, the trundle bed had Kleenexes on it and was dirty, when I called the front desk they acted like nothing was wrong with that. There was black stuff all over the wall and mold in the bathroom. We checked out after only being there 6 hours, there was a propane smell in the room that was overwhelming. When complaining again at the desk all the gal had to say was “thanks for letting me know” and only asked if my replacement sheets were brought( he didn’t even offer to put them on, just dropped in my sons hands) the other clerk was just on his phone the whole time. Not worth the money and no one from Marriott has contacted me. Do not stay here.

Great location. Easy to get to everything I needed for the weekend. Room was spacious and clean. All of the staff I encountered were super nice and welcoming. The lobby was nice. Pretty good breakfast. I'd definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Title: A Delightful Stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Miramar ★★★★★ As a frequent traveler, I've had my fair share of hotel experiences, both good and bad. Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Miramar, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a seamless check-in process. The staff's friendly demeanor and genuine willingness to assist with any requests set the tone for my entire stay. The suite itself was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The tasteful décor and comfortable furnishings created an inviting ambiance that made it feel like a home away from home. The well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, allowed for added convenience during my stay. One of the highlights of my stay at SpringHill Suites was the comfortable and luxurious bedding. The plush pillows and high-quality linens ensured a restful night's sleep that left me feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day. The hotel's amenities were equally impressive, with a well-maintained fitness center, a sparkling outdoor pool, and a cozy lounge area. The complimentary breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, from fresh fruit and yogurt to hot scrambled eggs and waffles. The attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident in every aspect of my stay. The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Miramar is conveniently located near various attractions, shopping centers, and dining options. The hotel's proximity to major highways made it easy to explore Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas. In summary, my stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Miramar was an absolute delight. The combination of exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient amenities make it a top choice for anyone visiting the Fort Lauderdale area. I can't wait for my next stay at this outstanding hotel!

Front Desk staff not great, tend to have an attitude and are very dismissing. Food staff and cleaning staff were extremely comforting and helpful. Ramon I think his name was and breakfast lady with blonde hair were superb!

No major issues during the stay. However, lost 2 stars due to the tight layout of the room and for the following issue: I had reserved a room within King sized bed about a week before my stay. Up until a day before arrival, it showed the correct type of room available, but on the day of check in , I was told that they were sold out so gave me a room with 2 Queen beds instead. I was baffled because my reservation was not honored. Standard continental breakfast options were available. Front desk staff members were friendly. Location was convenient for my trip. I’ve a bonvoy status but could not gain points on this trip as it was booked via a third-party (being a business trip, it was out of my control that Expedia was the only available reservation portal).

Rooms were not cleaned or safe. Manager did not want to come out of office when I requested to talk to him, sent clerk back with no explanation. Clerk was very friendly. I showed clerk the pics he couldn't explain. 1st room, long white hair on towel and missing light ring over the toilet area as if some one can watch you. Clerk stated no housekeeping until noon so couldn't change my room until they came in. It was 9am when I went down there. Just happened to look up to see light ring issue. Had to use lobby restroom as I didn't feel safe using room bathroom. 2nd room long black hair by toilet area and same type of missing ring. Came back to room after being out to find that the valance that was over the bathroom entrance had fallen. Sent corporate an email with no response. I will not stay at Springhill suites in Miramar ever again. I have pics of the issues and wish I could post on review. Disgusting hotel.

Disappointing stay for a Marriott. All three front desk agents were cold and unfriendly and acted like I was bothering them. Front desk gave me a late checkout and I guess they never bothered to communicate because staff kept knocking on my door the next morning and I had to explain it to them one after another until I got fed up and left anyways. Room was nasty. There was hair everywhere, in the bed, pillow, blankets and towels. I woke up with someone else’s hair in my mouth. Room layout was weird and cramped. Breakfast was decent though, but do you seriously have to wrap every piece of fruit, bread and food in plastic? Terrible waste for the environment.

Came back to room and was still dirty, not clean, trash not emptied, bed not madness, no coffee, etc. Room service not offered unless stay is more than 3 nights! For $300/night no room service “because of Covid”. Ludicrous!

Clean and spacious rooms with sleeping for 5 comfortably in the Queen suites. Large pool was great for swimming. The breakfast was great, I love waffles for breakfast at these places. Oatmeal, Waffles, scrambled eggs, yoghurt. All good stuff.

I stayed here the first week in March. When I checked on Monday, I was told room service would be on Thursday. Upon returning to my room @4pm on Thursday there had been no room service. I called the front desk and was told I was not on the list for Thursday and room service would be on Friday. I checked out early Friday. I notified the GM - Fernando by email and finally got a response from him over a week later. He let me know that according to his records room service was given on Thursday. He would be correct, If he defines room service as the following: upon returning to your room at 4pm to find no cleaning of room or fresh linens, guest must call front desk and inquiry as to above. Only to be told you were not on list, but we can bring fresh towels. This poor service mentality does not show well for this hotel or Marriott. I would look for other places to stay.

Amazing Experience . I would give this hotel a 6 if it were possible. Friendly and comprehensive staff, nice clean and big rooms with all the amenities, clean and modern installations, nice breakfast area with a quality buffet, everything was perfect. Great nice location close to both Miami and Fort Lauderdale

Mattresses have no protective covers, they’re filthy and stained. We literally had to leave

This Marriott was just what I needed for a quick stop on a long road trip. It was very clean, updated, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was very good. If you are not familiar with the waffle maker. A very friendly lady is within arms reach and willing to help. I would definitely visit this location again.

Mostly nice hotel. Friendly staff, the pool, breakfast and gym/laundry was sufficient for the price. Decent location. In terms of constructive feedback, it was the most uncomfortable/old mattress I've slept on in years. Zero firmness. My back is sore. We had a roach in our bed while we left / were packing. I understand it happens in the south, not a huge deal. (Our room was rather clean) I did appreciate they had recycling here, in the bins outside. Staff was pleasant, and one support staff even went out of his way to deliver us napkins for our lobby pizza party, and deliver us extra pool towels. Another suggestion was to offer a coin machine. I couldn't do laundry because the desk didn't have any quarters/ change.

Very large and nice looking room, but when A/c was off room smelled of smoke, and bed was rock hard. I slept well as I do anywhere but my wife had a rough couple of nights. We did advise staff of smell and they were prepared to apply some kind of deodorizer but I told them it was fine as A/c was effective in removing it while we were there. All round staff was great with every encounter. Was located conveniently close to where we were working.

Great experience.! Nice, comfortable bed, plush towels. Plus, during my visit receive the bonus of active carpet and floor cleaning right outside my room! Loved the front desk staff as well! Having no fresh fruit or bacon on the breakfast buffet saved me from having to eat anything else but loads of carbs..! The best!

This was a great stay. The rooms are modern and nice. The room size is good and the way it is structured feels igger than it really us. The ceiling are very high, which is unusual for a hotel this size but it works out well with sound quality. Overall I think this will be our regular stay hotel when in south Florida

  • 4/5 Christina S. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel was clean and modern. The price was reasonable. I was slight taken aback by the fact that nobody came in to clean the room between nights because I haven’t traveled in awhile but the party I met for work advised that this is the new norm which I’m ok with. My only suggestions would be to offer a restaurant and rethink the bathroom cabinetry. First, there were dining options a short drive away and some basic snacks in the lobby. Breakfast was offered and good, but a dinner option would have been nice since it was a work trip and I needed to attend to some business in the evening. Finally, it would be best if the faux door fronts in the bathroom didn’t have handles on them. They looked like doors which I attempted to open. The decorative panel came down when. I pulled on it and struck by bare toe. It was painful and then mildly sore for a few days, but was an unnecessary injury. Overall, the stay was good and comfortable.

Chose this Marriott property due to proximity for a business trip. It was apparent from check-in that management doesn't care about the property or customer experience. Lobby items like grab & go areas were empty, only one elevator worked, mini fridge wouldn't lower below room temp, shower items like shampoo and conditioner were not only empty but the canisters were removed entirely, and the linens and towels weren't cleaned between guests. I found multiple types of hairs in towels and sheets. Tried to make it work as I'd had a long day and an early morning. Asked twice for a clean set of sheets to be sent to my room. Both times sheets were too small. I decided not to stay and went next door to Hampton Inn. Front desk told me to call the manager tomorrow regarding billing. Spoke to GM Fernando, who told me the room was 100% non-refundable even though I checked in 4 hours ago and was not staying the night. Period. I've never been so disappointed in Marriott, and will be removing this property from our corporate group booking option.

I had to switch my room twice due to som housekeeping issues and was a little concerned if I made the right choice for my business trip but Ashanti stepped up and went above and beyond to make sure I had a room to my liking and standards. Polite, knowledgeable and courteous. Appreciated her patience and service.

Great hotel. Rooms are spacious and modern. The front desk staff was really helpful and the overall experience was great. A bit out of the way, but in Miami, everything is out of the way.

The front office staff was so rude and had zero courtesy! I checked in on Jan 4th evening and realized that my son’s water bottle was gone. So on the 5th morning before breakfast, I came and talked to this gentleman working as a morning-shift front desk and asked him if he or his colleagues saw my son’s water bottle. He immediately said NO and when I asked him VERY nicely to help me check at the back office wondering if his colleagues may have kept the bottle in there, he said “I ALREADY TOLD YOU I SAW NO WATER BOTTLE, BUT JUST TO MAKE YOU PLEASED, I WILL CHECK THE BACK OFFICE”. He walked back to the office for less than 5 seconds and came back with NO. I wonder how Marriott group address this extremely rude receptionist? How is it even possible for this brand to let someone stand at the front office and treat his guest with no attitude at all?
