Rooms were dirty, bathroom had toenail clippings and hair all on floor. Tables were sticky. Floor was never vacuumed. Never had clean towels or sheets. Had to wait till dinner for clean towels. Employees didn't care and were worthless. Gave attitude and very bad customer service. The breakfast in the mornings were horrible. Nothing was ever filled and front desk didn't care. Worst hotel ever.

We unfortunately came across this hotel on vacation. The lady at the front desk was very nice but when we got to our room, the bathroom was not clean. There was hair and paint chips from the walls on the floor, the shower wasn’t clean and the room needed vacuumed. I asked if our room could be cleaned while we went out for supper and I was informed by a staff member that their housekeeping staff is already gone for the day. We ended up switching rooms and the 2nd room was better. The floors and the hallways look like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks and the breakfast area still had crumbs all over the floors. We were super disappointed with our stay here. We will NOT be returning.

To say this was the most disgusting and disappointing hotel stay is an understatement. We came to the area to visit Notre Dame and selected this location and booked a couple of rooms. After entering one of actual rooms, the entry was littered with clumps of dirt and the sheets were not only stained with what looked like food, but had dirt from what I think came from suitcase wheels. The bathroom was not cleaned and the actual bath tub is sinking in the middle. See pic of bathroom and closet floor. I asked for a room change and was given another quickly. After opening the door, we were hit with smell of fresh cigarette smoke. I returned to the front desk and asked if I was given a smoking room. The response was "we are non smoking but we can't keep people from smoking in the rooms." Frustrated, I just asked for the first dirty room and requested it be cleaned. When I returned after dinner, the bed linens were refreshed. The second room we rented was missing a fire alarm and just had wires hanging. While getting to breakfast at 8 am, there were little to no supplies. A lovely woman was running doing her best, but I don't think there is any staff other than one cleaning person and one manager. The entire place is filthy and the elevator floor hasn't been vacuumed in years. Next to the elevator is the ice machine which is missing the bottom and you can see mold and old water just laying on the bottom. I literally will never stay at a Radisson because of this hotel - if you can even call it that. I don't know where the pictures on their website came from but those do not represent any of the three rooms we received.

Was in town for a wedding this weekend and initially checked into the Baymont on Dixie Highway when I got in town and needless to say, that hotel and room was a dump, kinda sketchy and just in a rougher part of town. I decided I wasn’t going to stay there so I checked out, cancelled that one and made a reservation over the phone with the Country Inn which was fast and easy. Upon arriving to check in I was very relieved to see just how much nicer this place was. Better vibe, cleaner interior, check in was fast and the guys at the desk were great. The room was great too, 100 times better than the cruddy Baymont so I was very pleased I decided to change hotels. I’ve stayed at a few Country Inns in the past and quite liked them. The location of this hotel was better too. My only complaint is the mini fridge in the room was leaking water because the seal on the door was broken, so maintenance went in the room to swap it out while I was out of the room, but that didn’t seem to work either because it just wasn’t cold nor was it keeping anything cold but oh well. If and when there I am ever in back in town for any reason (was here for a wedding) I will definitely be staying here again. Great hotel for a reasonable price!

Be mindful when booking through third party apps. This hotel was kind enough to hit me with an incidental charge that over a week later i have not received a refund on. The room was outdated and there were stains in front of the bath tub. When i spoke with the front desk on the additional charge, they refused to print me a receipt because I had booked through a third party. I escalated this issue to their customer service department for a resolution. The front desk instructed me to contact the hotel via their website for the phone number. I made several attempts at calling. I was sent to voicemail and both times it said the voice mail box was full. No one contacted me later. Including their $35 pet fee that third parties don't disclose upon booking plus their $60 incidental fee; What became a $68 deal turned into a $163 for 2 star hotel. Be careful who you book with.

Hotel needs multiple repairs. Room was fine but the back door slams everytime people go in and out. The bathromm needs repairs and new grout in the shower. The front desk sait the door slamming was due to deliveries coming in at 12am. The room was not as clean as it should be. Hotel needs soundproofing. Front desk overnight did nothing but make excuses. The young lady on afternoon shift was very nice and helpful. It is easy to reach when you.get off the highway. One of the worst nights sleep in years.

The best part of this place is the location. We were in town to attend a Notre Dame game, and it was minutes from the stadium. All other hotels in the area were sold out. This place was our last resort. When we walked into the lobby, there was a foul stench. We know this wasn't going to be a pleasant stay. My nose was correct. This place is in serious need of renovations. The tile in the bathroom was loose, and shower curtin didn't close on either side. The wall around the tub had cracks. The carpet was worn out and dirty. The AC was super loud, and sheets were a light tan. We slept in our clothes. The cleaning ladies were in the hallway near our room when we were leaving to attend the game. We were not surprised to find our room wasn't clean by either woman when we returned. This place is a pay by the hour spot for you know what at best. This place is supposed to be connected to the Radisson Hotel chain, which is a very disappointing hotel chain. They have the nerve to charge over $200.00 a night during Notre Dame home games. We will never stay in the dog friendly atmosphere again. If I could, I would give this spot a negative 5 stars.

When we first arrived, we felt it was a cute, clean facility. We were staying in a King Jacuzzi Suite, and got our key. The second the door to our room opened, it reeked of marijuana. We decided to take a walk around the facility and explore to give the scent a chance to subside before we complained. We ended up in the fitness center for a quick workout, where they had a water dispenser completely empty. Slightly annoyed, we decided to go check our room again. When we opened the door, the scent was even stronger. We went ahead and went down to the front desk, where we explained our issue, and the attendant gave us a different room without issues. Once we walked into this room, it also reeked. It was directly next door to the last room, so it wasn’t totally surprising. The front desk attendant was walking past our room and asked if this one was better, and I invited her in to smell it, just in case we were going crazy. She also smelled it, and gave us the key to the last room that was a whirlpool suite. This one was much better, and we thanked her. The next day, we went down to enjoy the breakfast. We headed down an hour and a half before breakfast closed. They were low stock on everything, no forks available, and just a bit disorganized. We didn’t complain, and decided to make do with what was available. Then, as check out time was approaching us, we had a housekeeper walk in to our room, no knock, just a “oh. Sorry”. We kind of laughed it off, until 2 minutes later, she knocked on the door saying “housekeeping”, which we told her “just a second”. She then yelled through the door, “are you extending?” And I yelled back, “no.” She screamed back, “then it’s time to check out!” It wasn’t past time, and if I’m paying for a hotel suite with no rush to get anywhere, you can bet I’m getting every minute I can. At this point, we were very annoyed and just got our stuff and left. We stayed in the parking lot for a while after checking out, where the same housekeeper so annoyed with our existence stood outside smoking for HALF AN HOUR after we checked out. Really rushed us out to not clean our room immediately! Did I mention when we turned on the jacuzzi jets prior to getting into it, clumps of hair came flying out of the jets? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Only one bath towel was in our room, the light above the jacuzzi flickered and sucked. Everything. Sucked. The entire place was dirty. The bathtub was gross, the hallway was gross, it was very loud in our room. You could hear everything from everywhere. This stay was atrocious, and I was absolutely disgusted by the way that the housekeeper acted. We only booked this room because it was the only jacuzzi suite in the area available for the night. I understand why it was available now.

Absolutely love this place anytime I'm in Indiana in the area I stay here. The price is good and the breakfast is good I wish for a bit more variety for the breakfast but that's ok. Everything is clean and staff is kind. I heard they were going to completely remodel the interior by the summer I hope the prices does not go up and continues to be a great price hotel to stay at.

I should have looked at the reviews before booking this. It was awful. Front desk staff never answer the phone. Light switch in the bathroom didn't work. Bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The heating/cooling unit ran constantly. I eventually had to unplug it and go without heat. Never again.

In addition to my previous review this the stay just became absolutely atrocious. So it appears that I had accidentally left my luggage at the hotel. I was contacted about it and I was finally able to get the right hotel and was at first told by the general manager that someone had told him I had picked up my suitcase already. That was red flag number one. So then he got back to me after I said I had not and was told that he would call me that evening. I didn’t get a call by then so I called and someone else told me they have my suitcase and it would be ready by noon. So then I have my family member pick it up and discover that it is empty! Now the general manager claims he didn’t know what was in it but yet they found out that it was me because they had went through my bag and found an old Amazon package with my name on it! Not even the bag that they found was in the suitcase. And he claims he didn’t know what was in it yet in the voicemail that I saved, he claims differently. I’m pretty sure once the staff thought I wasn’t gonna want it back they decided to take my belongings in the case. Honestly if I would have just been refunded for my stay and possibly apologized too this could have been better handled. Instead I am told sorry but hotel policy states that they could have just thrown your stuff away as well. I still have the voicemail for proof and pictures of the moldy breakfast bagels.

Ok experience. Rooms are dated. Bed was not good. Loud music late into the night from other rooms. Staff were courteous and the location was convenient. Not sure why the hotel needs to take a physical copy of a driver's license. That seems shady. Doubt we would return.

Pros: Hotel is in a great area, with great proximity to a Super Target, Mall, and Notre Dame College, and is Pet Friendly. Rooms: Rooms were clean, but rather warn down. Rooms also had a dingy odor to them. Room cleaning was not available, which is not an issue for me. Our Keycard for the room, disabled itself 5 times during our 2 night stay. We had 2 cards and it was always a question if they were going to open the door or not. Service: Honestly, the service was lack luster, and it seemed like they were very understaffed. It was a gamble if someone was going to be at the desk or not, there were no towels available when we went to ask, there were no towels in the pool area, there was a party in one of the party rooms, but then they didn't vacuum the hallway. Breakfast: Breakfast was not fantastic either, there was always something missing. The one morning, there were no Spoons, and no plates, and my Milk was spoiled, which kind of ruined the whole idea of breakfast.

This place was perfect for our 1night stay. I was debating for weeks/months on where to rent a hotel room for three 13yr olds to spend the night and swim. I wanted a nice room preferably one with a bedroom or 2 separate sleeping areas. I wanted my own space and the kids to have their own space. I went around town and checked out different hotels before I made my decision. I had to make sure the place I rented a room had a working clean pool. I'm picky as I have worked in the cleaning industry and have pool maintenance experience. My search for a hotel room took me all over town from 933 to downtown then over to university drive. Where I was very pleased with what I saw at country inn and suites and the nice staff. I searched the internet but pics only say so much I needed a personal view. During our stay checkin was fine I had one customer in front of me but that should be expected at the time I came. I reserved the presidential suite and was very pleased with the room size and cleanliness of the room. For the most part the common area were clean however more towels could have been in the pool area. Overall I'm glad we stayed and country inn and suites. I felt safe with the kids.

We just needed a place to recharge while driving across country and this was an outstanding value. The room was spacious and clean. The location had us near good local restaurants and the free breakfast was good enough. Will definitely stay at one of these again.

After a long day of driving, I pulled into the Country Inn looking for a quiet, clean room for a few hours. What I got was a very fast talking front desk host, who quoted me one price - charged me another, guess they need to make their money somehow. The room I was assigned was freezing cold!! The over night temps outside were in the low teens. I turned up the heat and waited, a hour later it was only 2 degrees warmer. I went to the front desk & was told, "yea it takes a while for them to warm up" i asked for a blanket, after much discussion - she was training-- I was given a blanket. By this time it was 2:30 in the morning & all I wanted was some sleep. I put on an extra pair of sweat pants & another sweat shirt and snuggled in to try and get some sleep. FYI if u are traveling they do not serve breakfast unit 7AM, so if you have an early departure, you aren't going to get that "warm" breakfast proudly boasted about. It never got warmer than 67 in my room, my shower was luke warm at best. If I was looking for an over priced room without heat, with a very small breakfast offerings and a Luke warm shower- I found out. I should have just walked out & driven across the street!! I do not recommend this hotel & was very disappointed.

The hotel was dated and dirty! The end table has food and other stained caked on them. The bathroom was horrible, was afraid to shower let alone take a bath. Filth, mold, and hair. House keeping, management and the hotel owner should be ashamed. The front desk wasn't available. Coffee was not ready before 6am Departure. Pick motel 6 over this place.

Great location. Kids loved the pool. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Was reading these reviews before I went and was nervous about going but DONT believe these BAD reviews it was great

This is a bring your own towel and take out your own trash facility. Staffing issues so they only clean the rooms every 3 days, I'm fine with that I dont require much.. but apparently they dont even pick up trash. I guess this is like my house I put the trash at the end of my driveway? TOWELS dont expect to have good towels here, when you can get one (this is not guaranteed) they're not very good at all. If want a new one its a 50/50 chance when you go to the front desk if any will be available. Same with pool towels, they may or may not exist which makes it difficult to use the pool if you can't get new towels in your own room. Staff was nice and friendly overall, breakfast area was well maintained but the rooms were not!

This place was awesome! Dog friendly! We brought our two big huskies. There is no dog weight restrictions which we appreciated since we have two huskies. Really nice Country Inn & Suites! Highly recommend!

It was dog-friendly and it's in a very nice location. But the room was dirty and full of spider webs. And there were hooligans (or maybe they were hotel employees) smoking weed by the side entrance. The girl at the front desk was nice, and when the room she gave us initially wasn't made up, and maybe not even vacant, she quickly gave us another room (the spider webby one). We were too tired to ask for a third room so we just slept with the spiders.

I couldn't possibly say enough bad things about this hotel. Absoutely awful, dirty with rude staff. I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances and we will tell everyone that was a part of the very large event that was in town for the week. We arrived at 10:00 pm and we were given a room that was never cleaned, dirty bathroom, dirty towels in the bathroom, dirty floor that was never vaccummed, dirty sheets, dingy and musty. In addition, the tub wouldn't drain and I was told by the front desk that sorry, nothing could be done. I asked the manager to contact me but he avoided me all week and never responded to a request to call me to discuss the situation. We were supposed to stay with friends but couldn't at the last minute due to health reasons, and booked through a 3rd party which I also do not recommend unless you are absolutely sure of the quality of a hotel. We were busy from sun up to sun down and didn't have time to deal with getting out of the reservation because of it being booked through a 3rd party. If I could give this hotel zero stars, I absolutely would. Management was not responsive and apparently does not care about customer satisfaction. Go somewhere else in South Bend but don't go here - your room will be dirty and the staff will be rude.

Beautiful lobby. Great staff. Decent room, but not what we booked because we booked online and apparently they have issue with not knowing what's actually available. Great location - very close to Notre Dame, and lots of food and shopping nearby also.

Bed bugs and after being told I would be refunded, it's been a month and a half and I still have not been refunded. I took pictures, showed the staff. I was nice at first but no one would return my 7 plus calls or even apologize. I missed appointments the following day because we hurried and left and I had to find a new hotel last minute. I have never written a bad review in my life and I can't say enough negative things about this hotel or experience I had. Horrible in every way. So dissapointing.

The room was filthy like it had never been vacuumed. The tub in the bathroom was scummy; again, it looked like a vacuum had never been in the bathroom. To top it off part of the bed frame was sticking out at the foot of the bed. I didn't see it as it was dark and blended in with the carpet. I ended up cutting my shin on it. There was no one even at the front desk when we checked out to mention this to. The location was good but other than that, I would not recommend this hotel.

  • 1/5 Beth S. 1 year ago on Google
Filthy dirty hotel! Animal hair all over the carpets. Bathroom tub had a stain in it that looked like someone threw up in it. Bathroom floors disgustingly dirty especially under the vanity. It appeared no one cleans under them. Shower curtain with mildew stains. I would NOT recommend this hotel!

We booked in December for $71/night as advertised. Checked in, one of the beds wasn't made. Pillows on the floor. No soap. Dirty bathroom and floors. Then the card was charged over double the amount, well over $300 for 2 nights. Don't come here.

The front desk staff was extremely rude. The room was very dirty. We found a bottle of lotion, a bead, a penny, a dime, a cat toy, a sticker, a ring, a deodorant cap, a round piece of metal on the floor in our room. Between both beds and the table were Cheetos and nail clippings. Bathroom floor was dirty. Tub was stained and looked gross. We did not receive any housekeeping services during our stay. After the first night we were locked out of our room. The stairs looked like they had not been vacuumed in a month. The staff parked in the unloading area so guest had to park and lug our luggage inside. Very disappointed I expected better. The breakfast was very good and they did a good job of keeping it stocked. The breakfast area was clean and breakfast attendant was the only nice person we encountered. I will not stay at your hotel again. It is unacceptable.

Stay? I booked 1/2022 for a weekend of 4/8-4/10/2022. After calling to say I would be arriving late Country Inn & Suites gave my room away. Very disappointed!!

Nice helpful staff, that is why it got at least 2 stars. 1. The door to my room was jammed, had to use excessive force to open it. 2. Floors were filthy, poorly swept and/or mopped. 3. There were food crumbs and junk on the bed. 4. Had to kill crickets that were sharing the room. 5. Air conditioner housing barely held together with red duct tape. 6. 1:30am smoke alarm in room starts beeping like the batteries need changing 7. I called the front desk using my cell phone because the room phone didn't work. The night clerk came right away and removed the smoke alarm. So much for falling back to sleep. 8. Breakfast was cold, water dispenser left dirt and crud in my cup, totally grossed me out. I travel for a living and I must say this place is the 2nd worse place I've ever stayed. 9. It was expensive!! 3 rooms 1 night $722!! I'm VERY disappointed Radisson! Interested to see if you do anything at all to win back a customer.

Front desk attendant was semi friendly but the room smell was terrible and I payed extra for the jacuzzi bath and it didn’t even work! As a whole it definitely was not worth the money! I will definitely stray away from this chain of hotels again!!

This is a very dirty hotel with a foul smell. Upon checking, one of the two rooms we booked had not been cleaned. Bed undone, towels on the bathroom floor, and trash in the trash cans. Instead of simply moving us to a clean room, the clerk proceeded, in front of us, to question the cleaning staff about whose responsibility it was to clean the room. An argument ensued amongst the employees and eventually we were moved to another room. Only got worse from there. Both rooms we booked had MOLD in the bathtub and tiles. Bath tub had standing water over night. Smoke detector hanging from the ceiling without a battery. This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. We encountered the same issues in two separate rooms previously.
