Total dive bar but....Good food, good music and staff was awesome. Came in town for the Notre Dame game and this place did not disappoint!!!!

We went here for a friends retirement party and it was so much fun! There was one waitress taking all of our orders, and she was the best! Even though it was just her she was taking our drink orders and food and still being super friendly and on point! I love this place! It was my first time won’t be my last!

Food was okay but the service was pretty terrible. I have a legitimate service dog and was almost told that I had to leave, despite him wearing a vest and being very well behaved. The server named Tayler was very amazing though and got him some water.

Definitely the most cancerous bar they allow by law Gag Gross 4 ashtrays per person Come on people Way worse than a 1985 bowling alley. Come on management Owners Anyone? Not ok !!

Phoenix aka The Bird is like a second home to me and so many of my friends. This is your typical "dive bar" however the customer base is very diverse so all kinds of people frequent here and it is very music based. They offer great food and great drinks at very reasonable prices. The staff does a wonderful job at keeping up with the pressures, especially on the nights when the music community swarms into the place and they are a bit short staffed. Wednesday's are for karaoke. Thursday's are open jam with a full house band so if you play an instrument or sing, give it a shot. Friday and Saturday's are band nights which are usually variety cover bands and rock cover bands. Careful - sometimes it gets packed and can be standing room only at times on the weekends so if you want a table, don't go too late! :) They are open every day so if you want a little more relaxing time, try going Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. NOTE: THE PHOENIX DOES ALLOW SMOKING.

The 'Bird', as the regulars call it, has come a long way through the years. They have a stellar group of waitresses who are friendly, professional and provide great service with a smile! A delicious menu (My favorite is their Hot Wings!) and a relaxing ambience. Seems there's always some type of great entertainment; Wednesday Karaoke, Thursday Open Mic Night where local bands come in, gather and mix it up... and Live Bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Plan on getting there early to get a good seat! My hat's off to the great ownership and the Management!

Best bar food in town by far service is decent unless you get lucky they do have one awesome bartender all in all I'd recommend the place good drinks can smoke inside food is great. Little hint stop in on a Tuesday!!!won't disappoint

At the last minute on Halloween one of the busiest nights of the year, the bar owner and staff accommodated a surprise birthday party for approximately 25 people. They gave us the entire half of the bar and the service was outstanding. A friend ordered their prime rib and I had a couple bites. It is truly the best prime rib I've ever tasted! I told my husband that that is going to be our next place for date night 💜

Great BBQ wings. The servers were friendly and social. The on tap beer selection was domestic only but they had craft beers in bottles at reasonable prices. This is one place you can see live music and experience up and coming acts as well as established musicians.

Fun place. Local favorite with great staff and inexpensive drinks. Really decent food menu for a local bar.

The food was okay. The waitress was excellent! And the band was very good. For Saturday night though there wasn't very many people.

Overall decent neighborhood dive. Decent bands, food is average bar fare. Reasonable $$. I had a bad experience with a waitress. First round, $4 tip on $8, 2 drinks. 2nd order added a 3rd, should have been $12 max. I point at the twenty dollar bill on the table (smallest I had). Snatched it, walked away. Did not ask if I wanted change, didn't come back to offer any. $4 tip on $8 is not good enough? The entitlement is ugly. Again this was 1 waitress! Just drinks, no food. After 10 pm.

Ok folks my man can shred like no other this guy that was working the sound SABOTAGED THE SOUND! Open jam?? No your jealousy practically ruined their performance so next time and we will be back, we bring our own sound and we will blow your little rinky band right out of of that club!

Live music every weekend from Thursday through Saturday. Great drink prices. It is a smoking establishment. But one of the only local venues still going strong. Very friendly staff

I didn't eat, just there to enjoy Def Mojo! The service was excellent and the establishment was nice and clean. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bc the whole time the band was playing there was a TV in FRONT of them that the bar would NOT turn off!

Chicken Caesar salad is outstanding and love the environment of the bar. Late night menu is also solid. If you don’t enjoy a smoking bar I would not recommend.

Kinda out dated, usually good bands playing, faculties need fixed & updated. If you are a smoker, you can smoke inside. There was a water leak in the bathroom, pouring from the ceiling.

Fun bar. Decent food. But if you're looking to try a new drink you can forget it. They do not have a drink menu. So we asked if the bartender had a specialty drink we could try, and we were told no but they can make anything you want. We like to try new drinks when we go a the bar. If they had a drink menu or offered specialty drinks we probably would have spent a lot more money. The service is a bit lacking. We sat with empty glasses waiting for a server to take our next order. If you're looking for a shot and a beer or a standard cocktail this place is decent. If you're looking to try something new and you want more than one drink, there are better bars in the area.

Great atmosphere. Nice regulars. You can smoke inside which is a nice change up. The burgers are delicious and massive. Good music. fun place to play darts. Smoking hot bartenders. male and female. The food is excellent. This bearded bartender was nice and good looking, G.dar at a maximum ;) They toss a great salad. Unforgettable. Definitely coming again.

Phoenix bar is always welcoming and friendly. The people are always nice and you'll always run into someone you know. Lots of nights they have music live bands or karaoke

As a restaurant they do not have the "best" food around. What they do have is really good food. Nothing on the menu is ever something I have been unhappy with. The menu isn't huge, but it is decent sized, they often have daily specials, the cost is very reasonable, especially when you see the huge portions. Sometimes to big! They need some smaller portions, such as a small 1/3 pub burger called the Stile! It's ok though as they have large to-go boxes. The food is always fresh, including the toppings and even their salads are great. Talking the menu, the first thing that ever had me going to the Phoenix is they also have a late night menu. The ONLY place on the south side of Mishawaka you can get food late at night, often including fast food. It IS a "limited" menu and does not offer everything you can get the rest of the day, but it offers some options for a late night bite, when no one else in the area does. As a bar, while I doubt they have everything if I really tried to put them to the test, they have always had any type and brand of alcohol I have ordered, when talking drinks. They are NOT a brew pub so don't expect anything fancy on tap, but they do have extended options in bottles if you don't want the budget on tap options. Fantastic in having entertainment almost every night, whether its Karaoke or a live band, they can get very lively in the evening. The ONLY downside is the place acoustically, can get extremely loud and talking to people becomes yelling. A plus for some and a minus for others, is that they are smoking. Unlike a lot of the places on the south side of Mishawaka, they offer a wide range of hours, opening at 11am, and staying that way, typically, until the legal last call. Seven days a week, they are always hopping even on Sunday and Monday's. In fact, some of my best times have been on days I thought they would be slow. Like most places they struggle with staffing, but the people that are there are skilled, fun, and personable, and I have never known them to have to close due to someone not being able to work. Be patient with them if they are really busy, and they will still get you taken care of. Don't like to sit on a bar stool up at the bar? Not a problem! Whether you want a smaller table, or you want a traditional booth, they have that to. A Couple of dart boards, a modern juke-box, and TV's give you some additional entertainment options. You cannot go wrong, with a trip to The Bird!

The food was fine. Apparently people can still smoke indoors here and the place smelled horribly of smoke. The worst part though was that they charge $7.95 for a basket of fried pickles and when I got home and opened the box, I learned that the "basket" consisted of four small pickle spears. Four small pickles for almost $8.00?!?!?! What a rip off!

Good food live entertainment the service was really good and the expense for a night on that place was not too bad I would highly recommend it

All I can say is The Phoenix is the Best!!! My fiance and our best friend go at least once a month. They offer live bands some nights, the food is top notch, and of course they have a fully stocked bar! The bartenders are very on top of things, as customers do not sit with empty glasses. The prices are about average in my opinion and there are many tables with seating area as well as seating at the bar!! It's in a great downtown Mishawaka location and I've never had anything but good times there!!! Check this place out, it kinda reminds me of the TV show "Cheers", 'where everybody knows your name'!!!🍻🍸🥃🍹 ** Update** I was just there on Thursday evening and it is still awesome. I never laughed so hard with some new people I had just meant!! Great atmosphere and food!

We have gone a couple of times now for Karaoke on Wednesday nights. We were greatly disappointed when we were sitting in a cloud of cigarette smoke and decided to light a cigar. After smoking a few minutes we were asked by the waitress to put the cigars out as they are not allowed. We won't be going back. We have to endure the thick cloud of cigarette smoke but can't light up ourselves?? Very distasteful move Phoenix.

We loved it our waitress was so sweet and on it especially for being the only waitress in the place. Made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us periodically. Five stars I would definitely eat there again food was fantastic! We got a pepperoni bacon and mushroom pizza and we got the potato skins for an appetizer both items were on point.
