Portion sizes were excellent, half of the deep fried mushrooms had no batter on them. Mushroom swiss burger was ok, comparable to Hardee's. My daughter said her Latern burger meat (plain 1/2 lb with everything except onion on it) had no flavor. Really slow service, to busy hanging out with there other server. Had to wait forever for another beer. Place was dead, only 1 other table occupied at 6:15 on a Monday evening. Really disappointed.

Some of the best steaks are made here. Great place to have an awesome meal. Well stocked bar with an up scale selection. Staff is old school and highly knowledgeable. This is not the place for a quickie, definitely not a fast food joint. Expect to pay a higher price for better quality and service.

Was with a large party and the waitress did a fabulous job keeping everything straight and providing great service. I've never had a bad meal there. Those in our party that got fish absolutely loved it. Great value for the price.

Vickie is a Rockstar waitress! We came for my Bday dinner. Larger party. She took care of us with ease with help from another. Food was ok, checks were inaccurate so definitely needs watched. I think the computer was adding wrong. Several people were over charged by the computer. By several dollars each.

I saw some mix reviews, but I'm glad I tried it. Had a couple beers and appetizers while our carryout burgers were being made. Onion rings and boom boom shrimp excellent. Fair prices.

Came in Sunday with 7 people. Our food was disappointing to say the least. 4 fish dinners and all were under cooked. Lake Perch was the size of a chicken nugget and you got 5 for 20+dollars. Also had the white fish and it was a disappointment too. We hadn't been In for awhile and unfortunately things have changed and not for the good. Likely won't be in again. So sad.

Cozy, quiet and nostalgic. We tried the Boom Boom Shrimp as our appetizer and it came out hot. Sauce was quite spicy, which is exactly what we wanted. My entree was the baked white fish with twice-baked potato, which was really good. Husband had the liver and onions, which he very much enjoyed. I would recommend checking this place out!

Great place to dine. Friendly cool service, very attentive and listens. Full course meal, from appetizer to salad, then soup, then meal, like holy moly, we loved that, that’s what we love about dining out. We sat outside and ate our dinner, it may be loud for some people with the traffic, but we were so focused on our date night, and our meal, my Papi forgot he ordered mushroom and onion with his steak. We’d definitely be back again.

For years, I had driven past this restaurant in the morning saying to myself I wanted to try it, so tonight I took the family and tried it and loved it. Unlike Nick's, it's not either soup or salad. You get both with your meal. We ate like kings. A beautiful chopped steak and mashed potatoes. You even get cheese and crackers to start off with. Our waitress was awesome, too. The best part you won't lose your wallet there. Very reasonable for what you get. You won't leave there hungry. They even have things like frog legs but it's not my thing.

1st time going there over the weekend. Nice place but was not impressed with food at all. In all honestly was the worst prime rib I've had anywhere. Mabe just an off night but not worth me returning for 100$ for 2 people.

The Blue Lantern has been around since the 1970s for a reason. The food is good, served quickly, and the people are great.

Hostess really spoiled things for us. She was chewing gum on the floor. Wiped her nose several times with the back of her hand, hair hanging down into her face- when I mentioned that to our server the response was too bad I don't have time to address it. Humm it was after 6:30 pm certainly a couple of minutes could have been spared. Realize we are not regulars since we live in AZ now, but I remember why we didn't visit often when we did live here.

Great food nice neighborhood restraunt atmosphere. Everyone very friendlyand helpfull. Makes you wantto come back.

I am not normally someone who will write a review like this, but I was very disappointed in our meals. We returned 2 of our meals. We had cheese burgers and both were burnt so bad we could not eat them. Another person in our group ordered a steak, It had more fat in it than meat. I will most likely never go there again.

Food like "Mom" used to make. Tasty, good value, outstanding service. Not fancy but not a diner either.

Great place with a comfortable atmosphere, very good food and a super nice staff. My friends really enjoyed the beef stroganoff. The opening soups and salads were good too.

Service and food are excellent, casual atmosphere. Menu is not extensive, which is a good thing in my opinion. Went with a group of 6, we all got something different and no one was disappointed.

Such a great place to eat a home style cooked meal! The staff is so attentive and courteous and it really feels like home. Can't recommend this place enough. Hoping to become a regular!

$ 60 bill sent prime rib back, tried the ribeye- it literally microwaved… the chef might need to be trained how to prepare meat… As a consumer- I would not give this place business.

The atmosphere and service are fantastic 👏. However the food overall is average. The soup and salad were very good but the prime rib was a bit dry. If it had more au jus it possibly would have helped. And as for the mashed potatoes, you can tell that they came from out of a box.

Food was good and wait staff was kind friendly and kept up with our needs. I will go again.

Food was good and fairly priced. I had a steak I loved, then tried my girlfriends beef stroganoff and liked that even more. Can't wait to go back and get it.
