😠 If I could give this company, and this location ZERO stars I would. At first our experience seemed to be going rather well, we were return customers to Sleep Country, and had no issues before so thought it would be okay the second time around. Boy were we wrong.     Beware that everything you buy here js basically final same . Came here to return a brand new unopened item and was denied the return because there was a ‘’mark “ on the outer packaging . The employee Jay was very rude , acting as if he had to pay me for the return out of his own pocket and advised that he is the owner of the store and this is their policy . What a joke . Never shopping here again . Will be emailing head office .

    I’ve always been a supporter of Sleep Country. We’ve purchased all our beds from this Canadian owned, female run organization since 2001. It’s always been a pleasant experience. Imagine my surprise when I was approached by the lone employee in the store as though I was shopping for a used car. I had a very revealing conversation with the only other customer in the store. She also had the same impression and decided to shop somewhere else. Due to time constraints, I ended up purchasing two of their most expensive queen size mattresses, a platform and brackets after the salesperson offered me “multiple” deals to get me to buy. All in all, it was not a great experience. I felt like I had been hustled, rather than being happy I found what I was looking for. Icing on the cake, the delivery personnel damaged a light fixture during the delivery and never said a word to me. Christine, I admit it’s been a few years since I last shopped for mattresses. Your company seems to have lost its way. If this experience is indicative of what’s going on in the industry now, it will be a long time before I expose myself to a repeat of this experience and it definitely won’t be at Sleep Country. Update on my initial review. It’s been four months since the Sleep Country delivery personnel damaged the lighting in my building during the delivery. It’s been several months since they started their investigation and to date, I have not been reimbursed for the cost of repair even though I sent them the invoice the same day I received it from the property management several months ago. What exactly is the hold up? Security in the building actually saw your employees damage the lighting and made statements to that effect. Why won’t you just end this and pay for the repair? Why is nothing being done??

    Do NOT buy from Sleep Country Canada! After 2 errors on the part of the company, they are refusing a refund (which was initially communicated to me) and are only willing to “rectify” the situation by offering me credit worth only 60% of what I paid as they will be keeping the other 40% as “charges” in order to take back the product that was erroneously described to me by their sales associate. Will definitely escalating this further to BBB but warning others to not buy from them, I regret doing so for sure and should have gone with other companies who offered the same price but at least would have been honest and true to their word!

    At this point they get a one star. Their delivery service and customer service call centre agents are terrible. Need to invest more into worst delivery service than all the advertising. And I tried to speak to a manager at customer service regarding a delivery but conveniently they’re always in meetings showing “unavailable”. I paid the premium the first time. The second time they missed it for delivery of a damaged item. **** I want to give them a zero. The adjustable base has been replaced once the first few weeks and now the motors need to be replaced. I wanted one brand and got talked into the mediocre brand. I’ve reached out to customer service but warning. Do you own research. I was mislead. Now I wait for a third visit to fix in less than a year!

    Unnati at the sleep country canada - north queen location - was amazing. She was so honest, attentive and answered the hundreds of questions we had about our new mattress. She spent the time with us, didn't rush us and gave us sound advice. We would highly recommend this location, and ask for Unnati to help you when you're there. She's amazing.

    Very impressed with the service and quick delivery. Unnati was very knowledgeable and presented all possible options so that I could make an informed choice. Iknoor and Karan were polite, efficient and professional throughout the delivery process. They called ahead to tell the window of delivery time, and then called again when 10 minutes away. Thank you for the professional, courteous service!

    Shakeel is excellent!!! We bought a few mattresses for our cottage, and ended up buying one for our house too. There is no pressure to buy, and he is so knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Shakeel.

    We were very impressed with Shakeel as our sales associate. Sleep Country is smart to have someone like him selling their products. Shakeel is the most knowledgeable and professional sales associate we have had the pleasure of dealing with in many years, regardless of the item we were purchasing. He explained every type and model of mattress as we experience hip and shoulder pain and then went on to describe the various pillow options that could assist with such issues. Shakeel assisted us in trying several mattresses and pillows and then left us alone to talk and try things out. This is a key aspect of good sales - give people time to think about major purchases and don’t be pushy or hover all around them. He demonstrated true professionalism in wanting to be sure we sleep well and not being focussed on making a sale. Shakeel was also helpful in assisting us with a new base for another bed. We did purchase a new King mattress, pillows, mattress cover and new base. Delivery was perfect and the two gentlemen followed all protocols and worked diligently and quickly to set things up and confirm we were satisfied. I would highly recommend anyone visiting this store call in advance and make an appointment to see Shakeel and we have already recommended him to friends and relatives. We are not the type to leave reviews (good or bad) but in this instance taking a moment to compliment Shakeel and Sleep Country is highly deserved and it’s a pleasure to do so.

    GelCool™ Pillow is like sleeping on a foam-covered brick. Awful. What a waste of money. Pushy salesman at the North Queen Street, Etobicoke store. No refunds if you purchase in-store.

    Pressure sell! I didn't appreciate the way they sell me mattress. The sales associate literally yelled at me after I decide to leave. I would give them 0 star review if I could!

    We have had 2 weeks of hassles, receiving the wrong size mattress, then waiting for them to deliver the new one (and being charged a $65 exchange fee). Then the new one arrived with marks and other damage. Really bad products and service. We emailed the customer service address but no reply.

    Jay was super helpful and knowledgeable, and didn't try to sell us the most expensive mattress, but reccommended a good one that was still affordable. Delivery was a breeze and the whole experience was fantastic!

    If I could give this company, and this location ZERO stars I would. Sales person kept trying to sell us a demo mattress “so we could save some money.” No thank you, we told you multiple times we wanted a NEW mattress so we could take advantage of the 100 night guarantee in case we found the mattress we chose was not the right one for us. Finally narrowed down on a mattress we loved and the sales person (Jay) STILL tries to get us to buy a demo/floor model after we insisted we did not want one. Come down to check out and delivery scheduling, all going well. Says the mattress is in stock, can be delivered next week. What a load of BS that was. Delivery day rolls around, no mattress. The delivery person calls the morning of telling us the mattress is on back order, will be in the following week, can deliver then. Next delivery date comes and goes, store, warehouse AND Customer service tell me different things. Mattress can be delivered it’s in stock (store), it’s on back order don’t know when it’s coming in (warehouse), mattress can be shipped to you or picked up from the warehouse yourself (customer service). 3 weeks from purchase date, we had no mattress, no answers, and despite demanding a refund, were told we couldn’t get one because the mattress had been ordered and was on its way to us. End up contacting the mattress manufacturer, no order with our order number and information was ever sent to them. So Sleep Country basically just took our money and played games with us. Finally, after talking to customer service for weeks on end, day after day, trying to get an answer, I got a refund and have reported this location and sales people to head office. Sales reps should not be selling items they do not have and promise customers that they will get their item by a certain date if they know that’s not true, this goes for any business. We are done with Sleep Country, this location, and this company. Do not spend your money with them.
