This Conservation area is amazing. The area was an old RCAF military base, in 1965 the area was acquired by Ministry of Natural Resources and is now a wildlife habitat. There is little remains of what it was all over the place great for exploring. There a ton of trails parking in two spots excess from two roads. Pet friendly. Baby stroller friendly. There was a washroom at front gate but I think it's closed due to covid. There are picnic tables all over seat benches. Very well maintained trails. Great for walks, biking, hiking.

Must go with your family and four legged friends! Just a fabulous spot!! 7km didn't run into a single person for a whole hour! Very well groomed trails, historical, lots of signage. A real breath of fresh air!

A surprisingly large wildlife area that apparently has 40km of path, there are a variety of areas to explore. There are three different parking lots, from the main one off of Fingal line to two smaller back ones. Each makes it easy to get to the immediate walking paths, and for longer walks you can connect to the rest of the area. There are maps and markers, but some of the markers have worn out so at times it can be difficult to find some of the connecting paths (though I do have a habit of getting a bit lost). The only thing to watch out for is hunting season; from November to February on certain weekdays you can only hike from a certain area at the front parking lot as the rest of the place allows hunting. This is well described on the signs at each entry, you just need to be aware. Overall this is a great place for a walk, and even for a nice outdoor lunch at one of the benches.

A great place for a family walk or reflective saunter. Get lost in the historic property which housed an RCAF training base during WW2. Pet friendly, kid friendly, and full of wildlife. There are public out-houses near the entrance about 200m south of the parking lot.

Interesting walking around the old RCAF Station Fingal which is now a WMA. Nice walking trails and posted historical information along the way make it a fun outing. Well worth a visit

A little World War 2 flying, gunning and bombing history combined with an extensive and free trail network. Some of the history boards are weathered and overdue for replacement. Trails are easy walks, picnic tables are scattered close to the entrance. Washroom is sub-standard.

We always enjoy Fingal. The trails are well kept and clean, lots of smells for my dog, and new things to see for the kids.

I had been wanting to visit here for years and just never got around to it. Now I am completely kicking myself for not going sooner! It is absolutely beautiful! Such a wonderful place to go for a nice, long walk in the country! It’s peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful nature reserve with lots of intertwining trails. The back trails in the forest are the best in spring when it's not too muddy and the trilliums are out in full force. Summer is very buggy so best to stick to the open area trails. Fall and winter are perfect to hike anywhere. Has a clean, well equipped washroom/outhouse. Very dog friendly, all dogs walk off leash!

Great trail when the locals aren't grouchy about Londoners using it. My wife and I like to bike through the loop with our dog. Tons of areas to stop and catch a break or snack 😊
