I have been looking for a good Barber here in Tokyo and it is hard to find one that is not a salon. Chill Chair has two locations in Kichijoji. I want to 1St and my son went to 2nd, they have a different vibe I like one and my son likes 2nd both give a great hair cut, the price is higher than average for Japan but not bad if you compare it to a cut in the US. Also you get what you pay for. Do you really want a 10 dollar haircut. 2nd cut at Chill Chair 1st, same great service and great cut. Different barber but still a great job. I would really encourage anyone that is looking for a great cut. Most of the barbers do not speak English but this should not stop you Just have a couple of images of what you want and they will take care of you.

Got a haircut from Leo. Great conversationalist, stylist, and a guy overall. He has mastered his styles not only in Tokyo but practiced all over the world from London, south east Asia, and is soon heading to NYC! I Will be back.

I don’t speak Japanese but staff did excatly what I wanted and they were just great.

I was looking for a barber salon that could answer to my request of having a new perm, skin fade and shampoo done for me. The location was super easy to find from the local Kichijoji station [5-10min walk max.] When I arrived the atmosphere was very warm, relaxed and inviting! Everyone was so friendly and the music is a great vibe for anyone who likes melodic beats with rap together very chill to have as background music! They even gave me magazines to read and a green tea to drink whilst I waited for my perm to set in [that’s a first and I was pleasantly surprised about it!] All in all, everything was very professional and also casual which made me feel very welcomed and would recommend this barber to anyone looking for a great haircut experience! Super satisfied with my experience & new hairstyle looks amazing! 10/10🔥 Thank you very much 💯

This was my second time in. The stylist remembered me and the cut he did for me 6 months earlier. He had me leaving there looking hella-fly.

Salon has good music, super friendly stylists, and is overall a great vibe! A lot of places in Japan don’t really know how to deal with curly hair( they just cut it like straight hair) but ChillChair set me up with a great fade that works with my naturally curly hair.

I went to different hair salon in Japan during 3 years, the hairdressers are skilled and can make very neat haircut. I recommend.

Reserved a cut from this exact place using google maps. The day I arrive, I was told the location registered is wrong and was directed towards a totally different area. Mind you, I was 10 minutes early. As I was walking towards the “other location”, I received a call from the salon saying that since there was a no show, they have cancelled my reservation. Very unprofessional, and uncaring. It was a waste of time and hopefully nobody else will experience this horrible services I’ve experienced.
