This colorful and vibrant temple is located in Yokohama Chinatown. ¥100 to enter the inner temple or ¥500 to enter the inner temple & burn incense. The temple is dedicated to Ma Zhu, the goddess of the sea. Parking is not available but a parking lot is located around the corner.

Pretty awesome place to pay a visit with family! You can donate some money to worship her. Although not old, this temple is beautiful and colorful and it is a nice addition to Chinatown. If you are strolling the narrow streets, you should stop by this place. You can make some amazing photos here. If possible try to avoid the crowds.

Interesting to go in China town. I like to see the différence between each country. Here, in this place we find a beautiful chinese temple. It's quiet different with what i saw during my japanese travel. So it's a intense Colors and architecture. It gives an other sensation of spirituality and the différence between japanese and chinese style. Very pleasant place.

There was a five-pillar incense stick for worship at the door, which seemed to cost 500 yen. In the end, I chose to worship with my hands. No parking lot. A relatively new temple built in 2006. "Mazu" is also called "Tengo" and is still worshiped in mainland China, Taiwan, and other parts of the world where overseas Chinese live, as a guardian deity of voyage safety and a goddess who protects people from natural disasters, plagues, wars, and thieves. I'm sorry. You can get power in a very gorgeous atmosphere. I happened to be walking around Chinatown and I ended up in front of this place and just looking at it was great. It turned out that a few minutes after taking some photos, some staff came out and they had an event scheduled for that night so there was a Chinese Dragon dance and there was traditional music. It was an amazing unexpected experience which I got to live.

(Translated by Google) The temple staff first greeted them enthusiastically in Chinese and Japanese that they had prepared incense sticks for worship. After a polite nod, they wanted to say that we just wanted to look around and plan to step up to the main hall. They were stopped by the temple staff in a slightly stern tone. The following means that you can't visit the temple without incense Looking at the comments, it seems that most people (mainly Japanese) buy incense, and they all feel that the temple staff are very kind and will carefully guide them how to visit. It can only be said that this is not the same as the temple culture in my mind. Perhaps the positioning here is more like an exhibition hall for Japanese people to experience Chinese culture.

This is always a fun temple to visit. Not only does it have a beautiful gate, but the grand dual stairway makes the temple grounds feel much bigger than it is. The Chinese New Year's celebration is always crowded, but worth going for the variety of dance performances and music. The lion dances are great fun as they move through the crowd, "biting" people's heads to give them good fortune. And who wouldn't want to put their head in a celebratory lion's mouth for a year of good fortune?

An extremely beautiful, vibrant, and must see sight in Yokohama. It’s built in Chinese style, so it’s a lot more colorful and covered in carvings than a Japanese temple would be. It’s also very centrally located within 2 minutes walk of motomachi chukagai station or any of the main gates to China town. Essential to any China town visit.

He traveled around the island riding clouds and healed the disaster and healed the illnesses of people. After being called to heaven at the age of 28, he began to build a mausoleum as a god of the rescued country's rescuers. Mazu is the god of the sea who protects the safety of voyages. The temple is beautiful, but I give a thumbs down to the old Taiwanese woman who works there. She is absolutely rude and psycho. The whole experience is ruined by her. People just want to worship the god, but not show up for her to express her anger. Her manner is horrible, and she doesn't deserve to serve the god. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
