(Translated by Google) Visited on 19th June 2022. Another name is Hydrangea Temple. A hydrangea festival was held on that day. The mayor of Tama Ward and the members of the council from Chiho were also present, and the event was quite successful. However, considering that it was a Sunday and that I could appreciate the wonderful hydrangea, I thought it was a very secret spot. At this time of year, it is natural to wait for 3 hours at Hase-dera and Meigetsu-in in Kamakura. I'm really glad that the hydrangea came beautifully. Myoraku-ji Temple was originally Nagao-san Iko-ji Temple, which was called Nagao-ji Temple and Iko-ji Temple and was a place of prayer for successive generations of the Genji clan. In 1180, Minamoto no Yoritomo gave his younger brother, Zenjo Ano, the Ikoji Temple, and he served as the head of the temple. The temple itself is on a hill, and if you go past the main hall and go to the back, it looks like a cliff, so I imagined that it was a remnant of the hall. It seems that you can also enjoy peonies. In normal times, there is a parking lot that can park about 10 cars, but it was not available during the Hydrangea Festival. Please check if it is available on weekdays.

(Translated by Google) There happened to be a site nearby, and the nearby intersection was the entrance to Hydrangea Temple, so I searched for it. When I saw the photo, I was somewhat concerned, but the site was over in 30 minutes, so I decided to visit. According to advance information, the best time to see the flowers is two weeks early. Even so, even though it was a weekday morning, there was a constant flow of visitors. Because it is a hilly area, the precincts are not very large for the area, but there were about 10 people at the time of arrival at 10:00, and about 30 people at the time of departure at 10:30. Again, it was a weekday two weeks before the best time to see the flowers. And it is overwhelmingly narrower than the image you see on Google Maps. It's well-maintained and splendid, but it's an everyday size, or rather, the image of a slightly splendid temple in a typical residential area, that's what's in the mountains. If you have a passion for good luck, it's fine, but if you don't, I wouldn't recommend going from afar with excessive expectations. Founded by Jikaku Daishi Ennin, who has a connection with our hometown, Minamoto no Yoritomo dispatched his younger brother as a priest, and although it is a famous place listed in Azuma Kagami and Edo Meisho Zue, I lived almost exclusively around Itabashi Nerima for Saitama citizens. I was an unknown temple. As an aside, there is a small maple cutting in the cherry tree behind the water, so if you are interested, please come by.

Visited this shrine first time in July 2021. The Ajisai blossom was awesome. We enjoyed it very much with the family. Comparing to Kamakura, the flowers plant is wider and more beautiful. Plus there was almost no one when we visited. Versus Kamakura where always lots of people. Very recommended. Very close to Tokyo, but better to go by car. Walking from the station might take about 20 min.

A temple of the Tendai-sect, it is also sometimes known locally as the “Hydrangea” temple. The best time for viewing the blossoms is late June to early July.
