Shinmeigu is an unique shrine. They sell lucky charms in the shape of bracelets, and they are very pretty. And also, they recently started new Goshuin (red stamp unique to each shrine)... which is in the shape of embroidery.🪡😲 They are also attractive and there were many people queuing for these.

A Japanese friend sent me a photo of Asaga Shrine in Tokyo. Unlike Islam, Japanese chapels are attractive because they are integrated with nature. It has a unique fragrance. It is a very sacred atmosphere.

Newly renovated Shinto shrine near Asagaya station. We visit here once a year on the year’s day to make wishes for the next 12 month, play a fortune paper drawing, and drink some rice wine.

Lovely temple away from the center of Tokyo. It has the most beautiful goshuin. Please be respectful. This place is stunning throughout the year.

There was a free traditional music concert, as part of a festival celebrating cherry blossom season. It was delightful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful jinja tucked into a residential area. Larger than it looks, has many events happening all the time. Omikuji, ema, and temple signatures are all available, too.

This is a legit large scale shrine. Much larger than a typical local shrine, the place is well kept and the staff very helpful. Very quiet and great to catch a breath during a busy day, or just simply to adore the detailed traditional architecture.

Asagaya shrine is a 5 min walk from the Asagaya station once you come out the North exit. Very peaceful and quiet. You can get 1 or 2 temple stamps here. They also do an antique/ flew market sale the first Saturday of the month.

Wonderfully peaceful and gorgeous shrine! I went in the evening during the week, so it was nearly empty and much of it was closed off, but I didn't mind at all. =) I wonder how incredible it looks on the day of an event!

Popular with the locals so you don't get much tourist which is a plus! Take a stroll on the temple grounds and enjoy the serenity.
