In September 2019, we made a reservation for 3 nights using booking.com. When we arrived, we were informed by the staff that there was an error with the booking and that we were only allowed to stay for 1 night. We were informed that we were going to be refunded but its been 2 years and counting and we still haven't seen anything. The actual place was very well kept. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The layout and theme worked well. The walls of the room are quite thin so you will be able to hear the adjacent pods even with your door closed. If you are a light-sleeper I suggest using ear plugs. We paid $934 AUD for 3 nights but was only allowed to stay one night. From my experience, I have mixed feelings about the place. I like the idea of the place but their customer service department has been a disappointment.

The rooms were cute and comfy. If you stay here though, stay far from the elevator and bathrooms, and by any staff supply rooms. Since privacy is only a curtain, you can hear pretty much everything, so light sleepers will have issues. We were right by a staff supply room, so throughout the night and early morning the door was opening/closing loudly, so it was difficult to sleep, even with ear plugs. All facilities and showers are clean, and the common areas are very nice too. It was fun to try, and if you're a sound sleeper this will be comfortable for you. They don't provide pajamas, but you can rent them, and they also provide a good breakfast for purchase as well.

Glad we got to experience this hostel. My husband said he had the best sleep ever (as he had his own room). We stayed on a Friday night and surprisingly everyone was very respectful. The bed was comfortable and has the mechanism to recline. You definitely can get a good night's rest without the sun waking you up. The facilities were clean and considerably spacious. I enjoyed my stay here more than some other Japanese hotels. Only downside is, your large luggage will need to stay open under the bed and your carry on suitcase, will just fit between the bed and screen door (unless you're traveling light). Your larger luggage can be easily pulled out from underneath the bed, like a drawer but best to be organised to avoid doing so as it can be cumbersome. Bonus points for the receptionist being able to speak English. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling solo.

Staff is friendly and lounge is clean. Great showers and restroom facilities. Bed set up is awkward. You must use an antiquated iPod to control everything. If you need to go to the bathroom at 2am you have to wake up enough to use the iPod, navigate to the bed tab and move your bed to sofa position to be able to reach the pull down screen to exit your sleeping area. The iPod isn’t necessary, all of these controls can be on the wall. The rooms are very stuffy and the included air duct doesn’t provide any relief. I measured the room temp to be around 76° - not the best for sleep. You can hear people snoring, coughing all night. You will also hear other people opening their screens and closing them all night. Also, your bags are stored under your bed. You will also hear people unzipping their luggage and unpack and pack at night. Each morning I woke up to other people’s phone alarms. It was an interesting experience but I will not stay here again. The room is one star and adding another star for friendly service.

Stayed in March 2019. While the structure is very good and so are the capsules, the experience was ruined by an akward check out experience. I asked the lady who checked me out if she could call a taxi for me to get to the airport, she advised me I could simply wait on the road for one to pass (I had previosly asked this at the moment of check in and another lady, who was lovely, told me that of course was possible and there wouldn't be any problem!) I have waited for around 20 minutes and no taxi passed. I came back to the front desk and ask again as it was getting late for my flight. My Japanese Sim card had data only so I was unable to make any call myself. The lady at the end agreed to do so but her attitude was very unpleasant overall and also said "you should have wake up earlier". It was already quite early in the morning but I would have certainly done so if I knew this simple request would have caused so much trouble! I haven't experienced a similar attitude from any other hotel/hostel/boardhouse staff during my stay in Japan who was instead so welcoming, helpful and reassuring for a woman solo traveller.

Probably my favorite hostel so far in Japan. I met great people there who were open to chat and join some activities together. The free beer hour serves as great conversation starter. You always feel safe and do not worry about your valuables due to the 24/7 camera surveillance on the floors. Appreciated everyday cleaning of the bathrooms. The beautiful staff was so nice and welcoming.

It is a really top level hotel even for a 2 star provider. I paid about 4000 yen and although the room was tight for me, 180+ cm it still worked and I had a great night's sleep. It's mixed with a coworking space which adds a working vibe to the place and the free beer topped it off. Great stay!

I really loved this place! The beds are super comfortable and there is so much room in the capsules. Bathrooms and everything really clean. Co-working space is really handy if you're a digital nomad and the free beers for a whole hour at 5:30 are great for socialising. My only feedback would be that it would be great to have some healthy options in the breakfast like fruit/cereal other than just pastries, but there's a communal fridge if you buy your own. I would recommend this to anyone coming to Tokyo, can't beat the location too 🙂

First time staying in a hostel felt cool! High personal space privacy, incredibly comfortable beds that make you reluctant to leave and alarm clocks that don't disturb others. The bathroom and shower are also clean, probably due to considerate fellow travelers. But the security is lacking, one night around 00:15, a girl and a guy were loudly chatting at the female floor elevator entrance, completely disregarding others' feelings.

Great place, great location and has all you need. Design as well sorted out and has all the basic communities you could ask for, breakfast is basic, but enough to start the day. Also massive shout out to the team, especially Clara. They all went above and beyond, helping me to contact a restaurant I left items behind in, and providing advice on where to go and what to do, thank you so much!

It was good for being on a great central location, overall lower cost depending on when you go. Busy dates the room can be $200+, slow I’ve seen it $30s USD range. Definitely not your typical hostel as this was my first time staying in something like this. Things I didn’t like would be how dark the entrance was and really not very secure. I did find that to be concerning as whoever followed you up could literally walk in. Anyone could follow you to your floor and be on your floor as there is no secondary door. In Kyoto, I stayed at their location and it’s not like that. So there definitely could be improvements. Other than that, location and cost for what I paid was great.

This is a upmarket hostel. The facilities are brilliant. Clean, working easy to use. The signage is all in English. We were able to wash and dry our clothes on the same floor while we slept. The rooms a good size, offer privacy, but you can still hear everything. I am a heavy sleeper and had a good night sleep. My partner is a light sleeper and he did not sleep well. The alarm system worked effectively - lights on and bed rises. Happy hour was a nice surprise with free beer 17:30-18:30.

Excellent experience - I stayed for 10 days. Definitely recommend for solo travellers. - VERY clean for a "hostel" stay. Bathrooms and shower areas were impeccable. - Although it's in a busy area there is no outside noise. Guests were very polite and there was very little noise overall (eg. no loud / drunk people talking) besides snoring. - Fun and interesting concept. Everything is controlled by an app in your iPod they give you. It was very easy and can be self-serviced. - Comfortable bed, good storage space; felt roomy for the 10 days I was there! - Great to have coin op laundry. - Very fast wifi. I worked here for a couple of days and the download is 200+mbps. There's two phone rooms in the coworking space. - Good location, it's in a very very busy area so you have to constantly be navigating crowds. Not an issue though. - My only complaint is that the floors were heated too hot. It was quite warm at night.

Couples please note: It is ONE person to a pod! You cannot sleep together! But they will put you adjacent. Otherwise, an excellent capsule hotel experience! Very friendly staff, free breakfast (mostly breads/pastries but filling enough), and the pod set up is very nice with a fan, controlled lighting, and bed positions. The whole place was very clean and trendy, and the free beer hour was an excellent way to get to know fellow travelers and do things as a group later! If you're going to do a capsule hotel, this is highly recommended!

Wanted to try this experience, but only stayed here for 1 night (originally planned for 2 nights). While the overall vibe and service is good, I wasn't pleased with their inflexible policies when my allergies occured (usually dust). While I don't fault Millennials, as it looked pretty clean and I might be sensitive, but I wasn't comfortable sleeping there. So after the 1st night, I was looking to see if they could refund the 2nd night, but they informed me it wasn't possible within 48hrs. What rubbed me the wrong was they assumed my allergies were due to hay fever, and not their A\C or linen, even though my allergies only occured while I was in their bed. That said, I think the place is good for community and largely an OK hostel/capsule experience. Just wanted to share in case people have sensitive allergies, and flag up their inflexible policies (which can be expected in Japan). Hence my 2 star review.

Great place, pods are comfortable and roomy, I'm 193 cm tall and fit fine. Also people were quiet and respectful, obviously it's a good idea to sleep with ear plugs if you are sensible to noise, I usually do and they are provided here free of charge. It did feel like a sosial place but it depends on if you're lucky. They have an area that serves free beer from one hour every evening, its not very bar party vibe, its more people sitting around but I made friends on two different nights here which was nice as I was a solo traveler. I stay at this place at the start and end of my trip and would stay again, people in the reception is also very helpful if you have any questions, and you can even buy SIM cards and adapters there so its a great place to stay if your just arriving in Japan.

Amenities and service were nice, it's also very near Shibuya scramble. Unfortunately there's a lot of coming and going of other patrons in the late hours (12AM-4AM) whom were very loud, the entrance is down a very dark corridor, and the iPad that controls everything randomly lights up throughout the night which wakes you up. Ultimately quite underwhelmed, felt like I was living with bad roommates. Also for the price you can get a room at the Tobu across the street and have an actual room without the issues.

This is one of those rare hostels that does everything PERFECTLY! First off: Location is pretty much dead center in Shibuya. 3min walk from the station! which is great in terms of access to various places, be it center Tokyo, Shinjuku, Yokohama or even further south. The location is also great if you like nightlife. Shibuya's definitely a great place to go to bars, clubbing, etc. and staying so close in the centre means you don't have to leave by last train or wait for the first train to go home and sleep. In terms of facilities: Everything's modern, great showers, great beds with extra features. Plenty of space to keep your bags (underneath the bed) I ended up staying for 11 nights! A fantastic lobby! Now you might think: What's so important about that? Well what makes the lobby so great is that its layout really helps/encourages guests to talk to each other. There are so very, very few hostels that get this right but this one absolutely does! The free beer hour brings people in. They had a halloween party which was tons of fun! I talked with so many people which was just great as a solo traveler. Finally there's the staff which were just so wonderful! Super friendly and fun to talk with and they helped me out a ton with telephone reservations for places I wanted to visit. Love you guys! <3 Felt like I was living in some awesome apartment with friends. That's the best kind of hostel feeling haha Would stay again 11/10! Miss everybody already :( -Ivo

Great capsule hotel in a great location in Shibuya. The rooms were a little warm, but other than that very comfortable and clean. Only issue was that it was going to be expensive to extend my stay by one day because it was almost full the next day. Recommend booking in advance to get the best price.

Amazing location, staff was super nice, and capsule as well as shared bathrooms were clean. Overall would recommend. Note: No children allowed and as one would expect you can hear anyone moving about on the floor. But good soundproofing between sleeping area and bathrooms.

Lovely place! The room is designed so practically!!!! The common areas are great and the co working space is an add on. Clean, great facilities and not to forget - location is the best it can get. Thanks for the stay and I will back 100 percent.

This place was easily the coolest hostel I stayed at in Japan. The free beer was a great way to chat with folks at the hostel, the rooms were flexible enough to fit even a sow like me, and the staff showed me places to go and were just generally very helpful people. If I even visit Shibuya again, I'm staying here!

The staff at check-in and check-out was friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable during our entire month in Japan. The room was way more spacious than I was expecting for a capsule hotel. The washroom was clean and well maintained. The shower was not too cramped and had great water pressure. My only minor complaint was that the under-bed storage for luggage was not quite big enough for my largest suitcase so I had to keep it in the hall outside of the pull-down curtain.

Really great location not too far from Shibuya Crossing. The staff are able to communicate pretty well in English and the whole space is very inviting and relaxed. The interior decor is very modern, and the beds, bathrooms, and whole property is kept very clean. Breakfast was included and they use Ipods as their room keys! There are also 2 convenience stores only 2 blocks away as well or alternatively a couple vending machines across the street. Enjoyed my stay here last summer! Would definitely stay here again

A great place if you are looking for a modern capsule hotel experience. Think of this place as a wework with beds. That said, if you just want a private room in a hotel, you can find cheaper alternatives elsewhere.

Very Clean. I felt safe as a solo female traveler. Breakfast was coffee and pastries

  • 5/5 Adam K. 4 years ago on Google
Really good value hotel/hostel. The staff are helpful and English is no problem (many of the staff are foreign) The "pods" are very comfortable and convenient, with a convertible bed/sofa. Excellent if you want some privacy without breaking the bank. There is plenty of room to move without feeling claustrophobic like some capsules. The hotel is well appointed, immaculately clean and modern. Free tea and coffee is great, breakfast is simple (pastries). The lounge and working area make it a great option for work trips as well, I used it for study for a few hours. Well located, I can't really fault it.

In for the Christmas stats. Have stayed here before. 5 min walk towards 0101 department store from Shibuya station - Hachiko exit. Cross the famous Shibuya Scramble with the masses!! Excellent photo ops. Plenty of shopping opportunities too. You sleep in square pods on a comfortable square bed! Reclining bed and lights controlled by iPods. Space under bed for medium-sized luggage. House-sized luggage, in hallway. Sliding curtain- style closure. 4th floor is reception and communal kitchen/dining/workspace. Free breakfast, teas and coffee- machine and free beer Happy hour in the evening!! Cubicle showers inc rain shower-head are roomy. EVERYwhere is clean!! Mid-high price range?

Beautiful and very tidy hostel slash capsule hotel. The rooms are very small but bigger than the usual capsule experience. At check-in you get an iPod with an app to control the light and bed in your room. There's even an alarm setting with a snooze function which raises the back of your bed slowly so to not wake up others. The lounge area is gorgeous and the staff helpful with good English. Only downside is you can't lock away your big luggage. Some coin lockers would have been nice. All in all amazing experience.

  • 5/5 Daniel R. 1 year ago on Google
As advertised, had a great experience here. Staff spoke english and were friendly. Some comments though: - The breakfast was pretty lacklustre. - My relatively large suitcase didnt fit under the bed storage area, so I had to leave it outside the capsule. - Good for a night or two (i did two)

I just have a question then will delete my comment, I'm trying to call to ask but no one is answering. I wanted to know if the hotel is wheelchair accessible? Like is there any stairs I'd have to go up and is there a large bathroom stall for people in wheelchairs? I can transfer in and out of my chair just fine as well. Thank you!!

I stayed in the Millennials Shibuya for two days before new year. I was attracted to this capsule hotel by the insta ads. The style, cleanliness, friendly staff met all expectations. I was amazed by the use of tech (app on iPod) to seamlessly control the settings of the capsule like switching lights on and off, controlling the height of the bed and setting the alarm that comfortably wakes you up by adjusting the light and height of the bed. It was really convenient and easy to wake up!! The common space is very nice! I love the kitchen too! One thing that ruined my experience is a poor breakfast! It doesn’t suit the level of this hotel at all. Do not recommend choosing the breakfast included option when booking!

I loved my stay here and it's one of my favorite hostels in Japan considering its location, clean amenities and lovely staff. I definitely would recommend it for people visiting Japan for the first time as it facilitate easy accessibility where you don't get lost.

I will be forever grateful to the lady attending this hotel. She helped my friend who was really unwell although we weren't customers. Really the sweetest person. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

The staff here is very friendly, it’s only a 7min walk from the Shibuya crossing. There a lot to do in this area. The bed are comfortable and clean they have showers and a laundry mat for you to use and it’s a nice quiet place to come unwind. The beds are little lg the a average lg twin in America for size in bed size prospective. But it’s nice I definitely will be staying here again the future and recommending this place to my other airline employee 🙂 that decide come visit Japan if your looking for a good stay.
