Authentic Romanian food restaurant. We were here for an event and the food, service and atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant is large with ample seating, but not too cramped. Smoking area and outdoor seating as well. Location wise, is not the best, but that doesn't reflect their quality and it's easily accessible. Very limited parking if staying later than the opening times for the close by mall parking. For a small taste of Romania, don't miss it

As a Serbian, it was my first time properly trying Romanian food here. Our neighbours have delicious food! I loved it. Also, it's an elegant venue with great staff. I strongly recommend this place.

It's fancy, it's tasty and in weekends you need a reservation. We had the daily soup 😊 the chicken with white sauce and mushrooms and polenta and some kidneys with smashed potatoes 👌, one espresso, one cup of green tea and ome sparkle water. +the salad that was 37 pounds, a dinner for 2 without dessert. The dishes are big, i haven't finished mine, but they are delicious , and the Romanian taste it's there, they kept the original recipes 💯❤️

We had tripe soup, turkey soup, chicken with polenta, pizza, and papanași and I can say all of them were amazing. Would definitely go again.

The food here is incredible, but that's if you dine in (that's what me and my family usually do). But i ordered recently through Uber Eats, and the delivery was fast, way too fast. I thought, ok, better for me, but the food sucked for the first time. I ordered the cabbage rolls with polenta, and these were stale, so stale you couldn't eat them. I also ordered some the meat rolls with fries, and the meat rolls had a funky smell for some reason. Most likely since i didn't dine in, they just gave me leftovers from past days (also explained the fast delivery). The pancakes were alright, as i would expect. I would recommed to not order out and just go there in person to eat.

The food is amazing, I ordered a vegetables soup, a vegetarian pizza and for dessert "papanași" (you really need to try this one) and I am blown away, I never expected for the food to be that good. Our Romanian friends go regularly and it's usually Romanian families we see in there; always a good sign of authentic food. I'm learning Romanian and the staff are really accommodating; they talk more slowly for me and are happy to repeat. We particularly love the hot meat platter for main course and we can't recommend highly enough the papanaşi for dessert. Be prepared that you'll be a while there; meals are slow, relaxed affairs. That's a great opportunity to talk, though, and the relaxed atmosphere contributes to you not minding the wait.

We paid an overpriced service, they first put us in a nice place in the restaurant but then they moved us in a tiny table with no possibility to change it. Very good experience. It was my first time in "Mahala" restaurant and for sure not the last time. I just find out, my wife was there again yesterday with a friend so she enjoy the place as well. Even if she was a Saturday and without booking, was preparing for a party and another one was already there they managed to sit us on a table. 4 adults and 3 children. Enjoy all experience there. For sure I will come back.

The staff is professional and helpful. 2. The space inside is very well organized. Clean and plenty of room around the tables. I couldn't feel the regular crowded pub environment. So you can have a normal pleasure or business chat without shouting each other. I think is ideal for any kind of party, even for a wedding. Also, they have sort of outdoor terrace where you can smoke and drink and talk and listen the music and... do whatever you want. 3. The food. I would like to criticize it a little bit. I can't. When I first came, I thought that the restaurant is Michelin rated. They've got everything for everyone. As a British you may say: no, no, is definitely not for me. Take in account that most of the times you find inside more British than Romanians. All my British friends been very happy having this experience of eating here. All of them said they will repeat it for sure. 4. The drink is in full range and over. All in all is absolutely worthy to treat yourself with a bit of time spent here. My advice: if you want to impress your girlfriend, don't go to posh/expensive pubs. Come here! Is so romantic that she will remember all her life.

The food was amazing, this is not our first visit and we tried most of the dishes on the menu- can't fault them, and if you have any specific requirements, they will try their best to be as helpful as they can. If you're undecided what to get, we recommend the sharing platter, it has everything you need to give you a taste for the Romanian cuisine or just ask your waiter for guidance. Overall, we had a lovely meal, our friends experienced Romanian cuisine and loved it. Highly recommend it and we will be back soon.
