Most people who review don’t come in winter so I thought I would leave a review. We came at the end of December when it was -7 degrees Celsius. The snow cap of fujisan is awesome in winter and you can get the best view in the morning here. Any later, you will get back light. There were free toilets. The park is free to enter, many of the flowers are just planted or past its season so you won’t get the full effect. Ice cream was affordable at y500 for any flavour. If you walk a little further you will be able to avoid the Chinese tourists who come in bus loads.

(Translated by Google) Someone mentioned psychic photography, so I will write about it as well. When I was collecting my license, my friends went to the test (I was absent at that time) and took a few pictures, and I saw a manly face on the shoulder of my best friend. It seems to be because only the part of the face was blurred and not clear. Even if I said it wasn't clear, I knew it was a face (I showed it later). If it blurs, the whole image should blur ... It was strange. After that, my best friend had a series of major accidents and was hospitalized, but now he is fine. What the hell was that ... There have been ominous rumors about Konbukuro Pond for some time, and it may have something to do with it. I also took another opportunity to try my luck and shoot, but there was nothing in particular. However, there was still a fear that the forest at midnight could not be conveyed here. Next time, I would like to go to the refreshing hours of the morning and daytime. Excuse me for a long time ...

Beautiful spot to click pics of Fujisan with multiple variation of foreground. Can get very crowded, especially the area where the souvenir shop is. Tip, sunset is a good time as you may get pink clouds and sky and golden ray casted on the mountain

(Translated by Google) Another world near a residential area. Konbukuro Pond is very fantastic, and it is sure to be healed if you walk in the properly maintained forest. Next time, I want to go to the flowering season of golden orchids and hosta! (Original) 住宅地の近くにある別世界。こんぶくろ池はとても幻想的だし、適度に整備された林の中を歩けば癒されること間違いなし。 今度はキンランやギボウシの開花時期に行きたい!

Near Fujikawaguchiko, this is a must-see scenic location. From here, you can get a great view of Mount Fuji. The beauty changes with the seasons. Every season has its own distinct beauty. But, I recommend you to go there during sunny day. There is no entry fee and car parking is free. There is also a coffee shop where you can get coffee, ice cream, and souvenirs of mighty Fuji.

Beautiful flower garden park with amazing panoramic views of the lake and Mt. Fuji. Kochia fall colors are very nice. You can walk along the lakeshore with stunning views. Maple fall foliage festival is going on and they light up trees along the street at night. Beautiful!🍁🍁🍁 Also, the park’s seasonally changing sceneries is worth visiting in early summer for lavender!

Beautiful roses are currently in bloom along with other early summer flowers. The lavender is in its bud stage but should be blooming within a week or so. They have a herbal festival going on right now at the park.

A tourist attraction for seeing Mount Fuji. It has a very large souvenir shop, cafes and an ice-cream shop. On the top floor, where the cafe is, you can get a view of Mount Fuji. You, also, get a stunning view from the gardens. The gardens themselves are lovely. They are small, but contain a variety of plants. There are toilets at the site, though they were not very clean. The site is fully disability accessible. Tour groups bring their coaches here, so the place is generally packed full of tourists

Best spot to click the Mount Fuji pictures from low level ground. Great place to stop and enjoy some ice cream while walking around to click the best shots. Make sure you walk all the way to the jetty are behind the building to get some of the best shots. Place could be crowded and you need to find the best angle to shoot the pictures. Clear day this place is really photogenic and looks unreal.

Ww made a visit on January 3, 2024. It is a great vantage point of Mount Fuji on a clear day, common reed (overgrown marsh grass), and Lake Kawaguchiko, which makes for a great family photo location. It has a big carpark in the park and a cafe, making it a great place to unwind after a long day of driving, enjoy some coffee and ice cream, and then resume your adventure.

Came here twice on the same day. Enjoyed the morning sunrise more than the throngs of crowd in the afternoon. However in the morning, none of the shops is open nor the fruit sellers at the road side. Beautiful scenic place with good view of Mount Fuji. Will still prefer to come in the wee hours without the crowd.

Love this place. I always visit here everytime I come to Japan It's my third times and still don't get bored of it. You can get different Fuji views during different times of the year that's why i keep visiting here. Fall, Spring, Winter and Summer. It's the last bus stop for anyone who take a red line public bus Recommend for the ice cream. Only 500 jpy, i got myself 3 ice creams 😂 The best among all was blue rose-lavender. Yeah sounds weird but so good 😳😳

Super beautiful public park, just right to the Kawaguchi lake side. The view is superb, the garden also well-maintained. There is a cafe that you can enjoy the beautiful of Kawaguchi lake and Fuji mount clearly from the cafe. Nice try!

Solid place where you can get a great view of Fuji (if you're lucky and the weather gods choose to favor you) 1. Beware that there are throngs of tourists here as well, so if you want to catch a photo without a lot of people crowding around, be ready to jump on the alternative photo angles as well as snap quickly 2. Do be careful and not step into the flowers itself and not ruin it for everyone! 3. They have cremia around the area, so once you are tired from walking, quickly just walk around for a quick rest.

(Translated by Google) I am surprised that there is such a mysterious space in one corner of the urbanized area. Efforts and devices to conserve nature are seen. Because there is a promenade, you can take a forest bath. The pond water is spring water and you can see the water source. I went to the day of the typhoon, so I felt that the forest was full of water vapor and it was a disgusting index max, but I would like to come back in good spring and autumn weather. It is about a 15-minute walk from Kashiwana Campus Station, and a 2-minute drive from the Kashiwa interchange. There is also a parking lot.

Arrived 11/22/22 10am. I was fortunate to see Mount Fuji with white hat. It was a stunning view with cloud below it. There is a souvenir shop and a cafe that sell ice cream. There are fruit stand and snacks stand outside. There is a walking trail that you can walk along the lake to enjoy the view.

This is a beautiful place. It’s a very colorful garden with some Cafés in the main building. You can see Mount Fuji perfectly (in case it’s not cloudy). Try the peaches 🍑 from the local farmers! They are very sweet and tasty.

Great place to view Mount Fuji. Several flowers and plants are planted there making it even more beautiful, especially for photography. There is also a shop selling many items including souvenirs, ice cream etc. Please have a try the ice cream because it’s really good. Unfortunately we visited there in the summer when the mountain was covered with clouds.

A really surprising find - but one of our favourite parts of the trip! It's free to enter the park. Quite small so there's not too much to see but they had some lovely views of Mount Fuji as well as pretty flowers out. There wad also a small cafe that we stayed at for a while. If you're in the area I'd say it's worth a trip if you want a calm and pretty look at Mount Fuji

Amazing views of Mount Fuji on a clear day. Take note that it is very very crowded here so if you’re looking for a quiet spot to enjoy mount fuji, look elsewhere as tour buses will drop off visitors here and many tourists self drive and drop here too. They have a gift shift and some cafes. Heard the ice cream is delicious but never tried.

I was visiting this park 7 years ago. It's a rainy day you can't see Mt.Fuji, but the park itself is beautiful. This year, we are so lucky the weather is so good (October). It's cool, sunny, and can see the Mt.Fuji. It's such a beautiful place. Also, free parking and clean toilets.

  • 4/5 Paul L. 2 months ago on Google • 193 reviews New
The park is nice and you can get some great shots of Mount Fuji on a clear day if the weather is cooperative. But it's also quite touristy, and I've found you can get basically the same great shots if you just keep walking along the northern bank of the lake between the Kawaguchiko cherry blossom corridor and the park. I would highly recommend you do that if you can rather than takin the red line bus all the way to the park.

Beautiful location to see the full view of Mount Fuji. Came by here in end June and the lavender fields were so beautiful. Highly recommend having the grape soft serve ice cream from the cafe. Side tip is to head up to the second floor of the cafe to get an even better view of Mount Fuji with the flower garden below! 🗻🌷🌼🪻

Great, great ambience and a stunning view of Mt Fuji. Not much to describe in text, but let the pictures speak for itself. The Apple-Strawberry soft serve is photogenic but taste is a 3 out of 5. Try other flavors. Souvenir shop was also fun and had a lot of gifts to take back home.

A great viewpoint of Fuji. Depending on the time of year, you can get lavender bushes (spring/summer?) or those red ones (early autumn) blossoming. Or no special foliage at all (mid autumn to winter) like when I visited. Nonetheless I happened to come at golden hour on a clear day and got great shots. Only troublesome thing is that the bus line (red line) from Kawaguchiko Station takes 30-40 minutes to get here depending on traffic, and there is only 1 bus coming by every 30-40 minutes. Therefore plan to get here early so you don’t have to rush to catch your reserved express bus back to Shinjuku like me. Good luck getting good photos!

Oishi Park is a delightful gem with a host of convenient amenities, such as free parking and an EV charging station right across the road. Our kids' faces light up with excitement as they enjoy the diverse selection of soft creams available. The charming garden adjacent to the cafe, especially during lavender's fragrant bloom, offers a serene retreat. Don't miss the pleasing view from the second-floor cafe, which comes at no extra cost. Additionally, the gift shop presents a wide array of souvenir options, making Oishi Park a well-rounded and joyous destination for all.

Best view of Mt Fuji is here ! You can see the famous mountain in Japan clearly and closely. This place also have thousand flower and trees with hundreds of colour! All you need to reach this place is using bus from gotemba station and it takes approx 1 hour. Then you must transfer to kawaguchi bus for 40 minutes ride. But it will be paid off when you arrived.

Fuji, and you can sit at the counter and look at Mt. Fuji through the windows without glass. It is a new building made of wood and parking is free. When the weather is nice, Mt. Fuji can be seen well even on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, so it is a popular spot. Tulips bloom in spring and lavender blooms in early summer in June. The Lake Kawaguchi Herb Festival was canceled in Corona in 2020, but it seems that it was held in a park on the south side of the lake. During the cherry blossom season, Mt. We went here during this winter season, but nonetheless, the view of Mount Fuji was still beautiful and magnificent by the lake. The winter vibe was somehow also great and there were some snow left around the park from 2-3 days ago, yet we were quite lucky to be able to see the mountain in a whole shape. The parking lot is quite big so it is very convenient if you go by car. We spent quite a long time to enjoy the view and also had our lunch picnic in the park (yes in the middle of cold air but under the sunshine with a great view, so why not?) The park is not that large, you can try to walk around and enjoy to take pictures in several spots. There is a cafe and also souvenir store where you can try their famous ice cream with Fuji-shaped cookie in it and buy yourself a souvenir.

If you're around Fujikawaguchiko, this place is surely a must-visit. There's a bus that terminates here, starting from Kawaguchiko eki, that runs quite frequently and passes through most of the common spots near Lake Kawaguchiko. The plants and flowers were pretty and we had a good view of Lake Kawaguchiko from the park. There are no entry fees as well! Nearby, there is a nice viewing deck on the second floor of a shop. They have fruits for sale here as well. The grapes here were affordable and high-quality when we visited in October!

Get here by the red bus earlier (before 4pm) to avoid the crowd and dont miss the last bus back to kawaguchiko station. You can walk to the end of the park to get better views and less people. Try some ice cream nearby the cafe. Souvenirs are slightly more expensive here.

Oishi Park gives a fantastic view of Mount Fuji. It is a nice quiet park, situated at the bank of Lake Kawaguchi. Though the depth of the park is not very high, yet there is a nice landscape which is serene and beautiful. Mount Fuji is visible very clearly from several spots of this park. It gives a picturesque view of the lake, the mountain and the park.

It’s one of the locations along the sightseeing bus routes in Kawaguchiko (honestly the only one that makes the 1700 yen bus pass worth it). We went around 3pm and there were lots of tourists there taking photos of with the flowers. They sell very photogenic ice cream there but I didn’t try, and there’s a big souvenir shop as well. If you’re not planning on getting the bus pass (which I highly recommend not to), you can also cycle here or if you don’t mind long walks this place should be within an hour away from where the ryokans are located.

This park is at the very last stop of the Red line tour bus (number 20). It's very convinent to get to thanks to the tourist buses local to the area. The bus stop is just outside kawaguchiko Station. If you plan to go to multiple attractions in the area I recomend getting a day pass that gives you unlimited bus rides for 1 day. The pass can be bought in kawaguchiko station (the also have other promos) the park itself has a good view of Mt.Fuji and the lake with various flowers and foliage to frame your shot. There is also a gift shop and a cafe. We arrived during sunset but you can take beautiful pictures anytime of the day as long as you check the weather before hand. I suggest to be a but early as the gift shop and garden close at 6pm and the last bus is 6:30pm.

The views are truly magnificent, offering fantastic photo opportunities. I suggest treating yourself to some delicious ice cream—blueberry flavor is particularly fantastic—and a bunch of juicy grapes while you relish the breathtaking sight of Mt. Fuji overlooking the serene lake.

One of very good view point to visit, but the day that I come here, I didn’t get the view of this park with Mt.Fuji. There is a bus station that you can change to many lines and the red line bus can reach here, just see the color of the bus and take one round to see how beautiful it is.

The view here is just incredible. Hop onto the 2nd floor for an ice cream and even more beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Fantastic place to totally zen out. Came here in early Nov 2023 during autumn as the leaves are changing colour. Worth the visit for sure.

It should be a beautiful place with types of plants/flowers there but unfortunately red leaves were not ready yet and other flowers are all dead. But still the view of Mt. Fuji there was great even though without the “red ball ball” plants.

Nestled on the northern shores of Lake Kawaguchi, Oishi Park is a captivating haven that seamlessly weaves nature’s artistry with the iconic silhouette of Mount Fuji. As you step into this botanical sanctuary, the first thing that strikes you is the breathtaking panorama that unfolds – a canvas of vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and the majestic presence of Japan’s highest peak. The park, aptly named ‘Oishi’ meaning delicious in Japanese, is a feast for the senses. Rows of seasonal flowers – from cherry blossoms in spring to vibrant dahlias in autumn – create a kaleidoscope of colors that dance harmoniously with the changing seasons. The fragrance of blooming flowers hangs in the air, creating an olfactory symphony that complements the visual spectacle. Strolling along the meandering pathways, I found well-placed benches and shaded alcoves that invite visitors to linger and absorb the tranquility. The park is meticulously landscaped, with the design giving careful consideration to framing Mount Fuji in the background. Every turn seems like a postcard-worthy snapshot, and it’s evident that the creators intended for this space to be both a visual and contemplative retreat. For those seeking a moment of reflection, the lakeside promenade offers unobstructed views of Mount Fuji’s reflection on Lake Kawaguchi. It’s a serene spot where time seems to stand still, allowing visitors to connect with nature and appreciate the profound beauty of the surrounding landscape. Oishi Park also features a charming souvenir shop and a café, strategically positioned to offer panoramic views. While enjoying a cup of matcha or browsing through locally crafted trinkets, one can’t help but feel grateful for the thoughtfulness that went into curating this space. In conclusion, Oishi Park is more than a botanical garden; it’s a celebration of nature’s splendor in the shadow of Mount Fuji. Whether you’re an avid photographer, a nature enthusiast, or someone seeking a peaceful escape, Oishi Park invites you to savor the delicious beauty that Japan’s landscape so generously offers. It’s an ode to the artistry of nature, a place where each petal and leaf contributes to the symphony of serenity.

Went here during the new year week and we got a clear sight of Mt. Fuji even though the weather forecast said it will be cloudy. The place also gives you a view of Lake Kawaguchi and there are several photo spots you can choose to capture both in a background. There is also a souvenir shop to take home some Mt. Fuji goodies
