We stopped by to take photos because this place was midway in our route, located between the icicles of Misotsuchi and Chichibu Onsen. The view is great, and the color of the water in the dam is a lovely bluegreen. Worth seeing if you’re already all the way out in that part of Chichibu. I think there are no buses at night because googlemaps kept showing bus trips for the next day and it was just around 5pm. Maybe the place is best accessed with a car.

Easy access. Beautiful view upon the dam bridge. Skipped the +400 stairs challenge due to time and fitness issues, but it seems interesting. Free access to the stairs, leading you to the lowest point of the dam. and parking is available for free. Perfect spot for a few minutes of stop and rest.

Beautiful megastructure! There is a parking area with observation deck. Due to the altitude, the temperature is usually few Celsius lower than in the valley. Accessible mainly by car, but cycling is a better option.

It is one of the brightest dam lakes in the Kanto region. As a destination for motorcycle touring and car driving, people visit constantly during fine weather.
