😠 Terrible experience, no respect, just rudeness, racism and national intolerance. We had an appointment, which I organized for my mother who had an eye operation planned in Ukraine, which she could not have because of the war, so when she came to Berlin and got her insurance, I booked an appointment... People often mention doctor, appointment, patient, practice, treated, Chamat, people, experience, rude, reception,

Terrible experience, no respect, just rudeness, racism and national intolerance. We had an appointment, which I organized for my mother who had an eye operation planned in Ukraine, which she could not have because of the war, so when she came to Berlin and got her insurance, I booked an appointment via Doctolib. The staff is unacceptably rude, the woman at the reception slammed the door right before our eyes rudely refusing a visit without any reason, the trigger of this rudeness was that we said my mother was from Ukraine, the woman turned evil, refused to hear anything, interrupted me rudely and refused to give a paper with the rejection statement!!! What is worse, the next morning my mother received a notification from Doctolib that she did not come to the appointment at all, which is a blatant lie!!! Totally nacceptable, not recommended to anyone, such doctors have to go bankrupt, not make money!!!

I'm a regular patient here and a friend recommended me to Dr. Chamat, she had 2 laser surgeries for her retina. So far my experiences are very positive. Though Dr. Chamat may seem a bit grumpy 😂 but it's just his character. I believe his professional ability is outstanding, unlike many random incapable doctors in Berlin. For me that's the most important thing. I need a reliable doctor not someone to flatter me. Besides, he can speak fluent English.

I came into the practice today with an inflamed eye. I was asked whether I had already had an eye operation. I approve of this. They then told me that anyone who has had their eyes operated on somewhere else will not be treated here. The inflammation has absolutely nothing to do with my operation, which happened two years ago. This is all about profit. Not recommendable. The practice would like to turn on op. Statement from the lady at reception: "We operate ourselves and we do not accept patients who have already undergone surgery.

I had an extremely unpleasant/disrespectful situation trying to extend my sister's referral slip for an upcoming appointment at the Charité. Although I have been trying to reach the practice by phone for a month and have left several messages on the answering machine, there has been no response. Since the appointment for my sister (17 years old) is in the new quarter, an extension was necessary. Without having any other options, I decided to show up in person today with my sister at 1:40 p.m. without an appointment. Although the opening hours were stated until 2 p.m., the practice already seemed to be in closing mode. Unfortunately, my polite request was answered negatively and an unpleasant situation arose. It was even suggested to me that my sister could not be treated because she was not of legal age. Although she was the last patient to receive an exception, it was alleged that the practice was not treating her, with a referral from last quarter. The situation escalated and the doctor, Dr. Chamat and employee Ms. Heim reacted aggressively. Instead of offering a solution, Dr. Chamat met me in the stairwell, the door was closed and I was informed that my sister was no longer being treated. This happened even though the long-awaited hospital appointment was approaching. As a pregnant 31 year old woman, I have never felt so disrespected. The employee, Ms. Heim, called me stupid, which is unacceptable. I would like to add that the doctor Dr. Chamat tried to intimidate me by threatening legal action if I published my review. This happened even though I simply wanted to share the truth of my experience. The doctor's aggression reached a peak as he screamed loudly and closed the door. Not only was there a lack of empathy and sensitivity, but no alternative or adequate explanation was offered. Instead we were verbally aggressively attacked. It was almost as if the doctor was aiming to intimidate us, and all that was missing was that he also became physically aggressive. It is unfortunate that there was a lack of appropriate communication and resolution in this situation. I hope that future situations can be handled better in medical facilities. It is hoped that any camera footage that may exist can document the truth of this unpleasant encounter when it becomes available. This practice is not recommended under any circumstances. There are numerous other competent doctors in this industry.

Nice doctor, probably competent, definitely seems that way. Only the situation with waiting in the stairwell is somehow undignified. That deducts one star for me.

I can only report good things. Care is taken to ensure that the practice is not overcrowded. Then you just have to wait outside. The doctor and his team are friendly and professional. Both eyes were successfully operated on. I can only recommend the practice/eye clinic. Here the patient is the focus and you are not persuaded to take expensive lenses. 5 Stars !!!!! From a grateful patient.

Waited 1 hour in front of the practice, despite an appointment. Many older people have to stand in front of it. Inhumane treatment of patients. I've never experienced anything like this before. Very sad how people are treated.

I had a very bad experience coming to this clinic. The doctor was really unprofessional and and did nothing to address my problem. And the worst part was that I came with my wife and son, a 10 months old baby which was very quite, and the reception secretary asked me to tell both of them to go wait for me outside in the rain because it is a "no baby clinic". Unbelievable!

I went to Dr. Bilal Chamat since 2019 and I’m so sad things at this clinic have declined. I will not be returning. The receptionists were rude, confused me with another patient and then gave me eyedrops without telling me what they were for. They dilated my eyes without my consent and I had to work that day. No one asked me why I was there; they just assumed I was there to get an OCT test. (I had canceled an OCT in the summer.) When I saw Dr. Chamat, he said, “Why are you not doing the OCT scan?” I told him I was there because I had some conjunctivitis and he said he didn’t want to see me if I’m not doing the OCT and to go to another doctor for the conjunctivitis! Shame! (FYI This OCT is €150 out of pocket/not covered by the insurance. It feels very much that they just wanted the extra money.) He didn’t treat me and sent me on my way. I was stunned. After leaving, I sent 3 emails and my husband and I both left voicemails (in German as well!) requesting my patient information and there was no response. Only after I cited the German Civil Code 630G about my right to my medical records, did they send them in the mail, without any explanation-and not electronically as requested. Another thing to note: This place is discriminatory against people with children. It says no other person may come in with the patient and no children and it has a picture on the office door with a stroller crossed out. I’m about to be a mom, so I can’t imagine how I could go there and can’t believe they would not allow this. I hope things improve for anyone who continues to go there, but I won’t be among them.

Lying, rude, yelling, misoperated, and then lied to get me to regarding the complications which developed so I would leave the country without knowing without the opportunity to go back and push for a correction as I would not be part of the German health system anymore. Complete scam. Severe complications and loss of sight on one eye. In particular seems to have issues with people with a migration background and was too happy I was a private paying patient, until he made a mistake which resulted in extreme discriminatory and abusive behaviour. I would not recommend any patient to go near that man.

The worst doctors appointment experience I had in Germany in 9 years. Rude staff thay won't even give me a simple explanation and the prognosis was off in all levels. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here. One star is still too much score for them.

What good is science if morality is zero? This (doctor) didn't treat my mother or let her into the practice because she has a disability. The height of wickedness, inhumanity, impudence and unscrupulousness.

He is a Syrian Arab and hates Arabs, Muslims and all immigrants. If you are an Arab, do not go to this doctor. He is bad with everybody but extremely bad with Arabs. This is the doctor He is a Syrian Arab, but he hates Arabs and hates refugees in particular No one goes to him He expelled an old Syrian woman from his place because she did not speak German And whoever wants to go to his place because he is Arab and is expected to speak Arabic with you, he will not speak Arabic. A morally and professionally deficient doctor

It is by far one of the most infuriating doctor experience I had in Germany in 9 years, won't even let you in the reception without appointment, my father was already a registered patient and we only needed a diagnosis certificate from the nurses to move on to another place for his treatment and the staff treated us like we were being annoying and even shut the door in front of our faces. In the little time they "offered" us to talk to the nurses, the doctor made a comment to them that we were being too loud. If you need a good doctor you couldn't be further away from finding it. Go somewhere else

Never go to this medical center. The nurses are so unfriendly as never encountered before. They are stressed, terribly rude and unfriendly. Together with me two people left the center without having been visited, because of badly managed appointments.

Terrible reception, my wife had an appointment just for check up, they mixed her with another patient putting her to do an OCT and dilated her eyes. She was terrible treated and when they realized that they made a mistake mixing her with the patient that supposed to have the OCT they told her that they can’t do anything about her case and left her to go home with her eyes dilated and she not seeing anything. Besides that she is pregnant and they didn’t even respect that, making her go through a hell with a terrible doctor being so disrespectful.

Herr Dr. Chamat ist sehr guter Arzt. Seine Beratung ist kompetent und ergebnisorientiert. Er nimmt sich Zeit für seine Patienten. Sie bekommen ziemlich schnell einen OP Termin.

Unfortunately, I have probably had my worst experience in the medical field so far at this clinic. The doctor's assistant is extremely overwhelmed and takes this out on the patient. She is unfriendly, uncontrolled and loud. A normal conversation was not possible from the start. The atmosphere was incredibly tense. You felt like a criminal just for booking an appointment. I was insulted and blamed for everything that went wrong in practice. (Too few staff, poor appointment coordination, too few seats, too little time, etc.) I felt like the trash can of all of this employee's emotional baggage. Unfortunately, the doctor's behavior wasn't any better. Unfortunately he was also very unfriendly and not interested in normal communication. I can't say anything about his professional competence because I was sent away before any medical consultation or treatment could take place.

Rude. Appointment via Doctolib canceled without comment, telephone message and email without response. Because of the lack of alternatives, people here probably think they can behave rudely
