As
a
chicken
lover
myself,
this
was
a
restaurant
I
wanted
to
visit
at
least
once.
Even
though
it's
located
in
a
back
street
off
the
national
highway,
I
made
a
reservation
because
it
was
a
popular
restaurant,
and
it
turned
out
to
be
a
great
decision.
I
was
seated
as
soon
as
the
store
opened,
and
the
items
I
had
ordered
in
advance
arrived
without
a
long
wait.
"Amakusa
Daio
Saiko
Oyakodon"
is
2500
yen.
Kurazogama
pottery?
Dinner.
Onion
slices
and
perilla
leaves
are
spread
on
top,
making
for
a
nice
accent.
The
top
floor
is
lined
with
Amakusa
Daioh
thighs,
breasts,
sunazuri,
and
charcoal-grilled
meat.
The
edge
of
the
bowl
is
decorated
with
chicken
meat
miso,
and
you
can
enjoy
it
grilled
over
charcoal
or
mixed
with
rice
as
you
like.
You
can
also
enjoy
the
chicken
tataki
(sashimi?)
individually
with
ponzu
sauce
(with
yuzu
pepper)
or
soy
sauce,
or
as
a
rice
bowl
with
the
accompanying
sauce.
Since
it
was
local
chicken,
the
texture
was
softer
than
I
expected,
but
the
flavor
was
strong,
but
each
one
was
unique
and
I
was
able
to
enjoy
it
until
the
end.
Thank
you
for
the
meal!
