Ginger pancakes were the winner, dense and hearty with apple butter. Amazing. Chorizo scrambler was solid. Southwest eggs Benedict was ok, piece of Canadian bacon is pretty thin, hollandaise is great and the potatoes are excellent.

Cool little breakfast joint serve the usuals and seems like they specialize in the eggs Benedict. Very, very busy every time we visited. The staff is friendly and as attentive as they could be considering how busy the place is. My favorites are the thick cut bacon and hash brown potatoes. If you have the time it’s worth the stop.

Do not miss out on this amazing gem! The service and atmosphere are top tier, but most importantly, the food is incredible. I think about their Chorizo Eggs Benedict all year long, it is simply perfect. We get breakfast here every time we visit Moab, and it always surpasses memories. I also highly recommend their hot chocolate and pancakes if you’re interested in becoming addicted. Swing by and see why this is the best breakfast cafe in Utah!

I wasn’t super impressed by the breakfast options in Moab, but this cafe was awesome. Really nice staff. Great home fries. Can get crowded on weekends. Love the old jail house building, feels like you’re a part of the history of the town.

The food was amazing! We got the eggs Benedict and it was great. I will say it’s a little spicy. Not enough we’re your mouth is on fire but it’s got a little kick to it. I honestly thought the spicy level and flavor was great! Would definitely order again. The customer service is what really needs to be mentioned. I don’t think our coffee or water ever got half empty. Wasn’t just our waitress, but three other staff members kept stopping by to see how we were doing along with everyone else (but not in an overwhelming or annoying way). I loved eating here and will definitely be back. If your in town looking for some amazing breakfast you have to stop here.

😃😋I absolutely love this place! Hands down best breakfast in Moab, and likely all of Utah! The seating areas have an amazing vibe. All employees were extremely friendly and did an excellent job. The food and coffee were both top notch. I tried the El Rancho Burrito… delicious! The Buttermilk Pancakes and American Omelet are amazing as well, I’d highly recommend. The Garlic Serrano sauce they have at the table is incredible too and I actually ended buying a couple bottles to take home. Overall I can’t recommend the Jailhouse Café enough! 🥞🍳

Ate outside in the patio in the morning breeze. Had the scrambled eggs, soul food bacon and seasoned potatoes with an order of coffee. Great location. Not too busy. Ordered quickly and food was out in minutes! Check ‘em out.

Stopped to grab a quick breakfast on a Sunday over the memorial day weekend. The place was packed. Service was very fast and the food was great. We got the tri color omelette which tasted good. It came with a side of flavorful potatoes and a wheat toast. The portions were really good. We also got some bacon, sausages and a side of fruits. Everything tasted great and was just the start we were looking for. Felt they did a little too much with the pesto though but otherwise really good and value for money. Saw some amazing pancakes being served but we were too full already. Maybe next time.

Great coffee, just so good. Servers are very nice warm people. Welcomed my little dog and he chowed down on his eggs and bacon. Visit if you can, I think you’d enjoy your meal.

Your typical Coney Island or quick breakfast spot. The food was mediocre at best and wasn’t any special. A bit pricey, but the service was good. The waffle was not good at all, I would not recommend it.

The food is good, the fries are tasty, and the service is nice. We got a spinach egg benedict and a chorizo egg benedict. Both dishes were tasty and filling. The restaurant has kind of outdoor seating, which offers a nice view of the main road is Moab. It was a nice breakfast experience, watching people and car driving up and down the main road.

Nice cafe with good service and really good breakfasts. You should arrive early because it gets packed fast. We tried the Denver omelets, the eggs Benedict’s, and the Jailhouse chorizo scramble. For “dessert” we had the ginger pancakes with apple butter and the Swedish pancakes with lingonberries compote. Both were really good but the Swedish pancakes were better. They’re like a French crepe but a little thicker. The kids plate portions are BIG so if you’re kids don’t eat much is better for them to share.

An awesome local place in Moab for breakfast. We were seated and got our order quickly. The jail house chorizo scramble was my favorite. A little bit of spice, eggs and potatoes scrambled together. It was a perfect dish. I would highly recommend it. The coffee was awesome. Usually most breakfast places do not serve good coffee but this place was an exception. The hot chocolate was good as well. Staff and service was very good.

Amazing experience. I had the Eggs Benedict Mexicana, with a buttermilk pancake and Vermont Maple syrup. The food was out in 3 minutes and tasted outstanding. Definitely deserves the title of #1 breakfast place in Moab.

Loved the place. It’s at a very prime location, our server was amazing. Food is delicious and customizable to make it vegetarian. They don’t have have vegan friendly items though. Seating is plenty.

Surprisingly good! Especially as far as cuisine in Moab is concerned this is a delicious brunch spot. Great eggs Benedict and whole grain waffles 🧇Friendly staff too! Special shoutout to the older gentleman on staff checking in with guests and talking about history of Moab :)

I loved the pepper omelet and potatoes, and very fast service. Although the menu seems limited compared to other breakfast joints, if anything catches your eye you won't regret picking this place for a delicious meal. If I was a prisoner at this jailhouse I would be very excited about the options available!

The menu had some delicious looking offerings but I've been on keto for some time so I ate off the a la carte menu. I ordered several poached eggs and their bacon. Many say it's hard to mess up breakfast and while fundamentally, I agree - many establishments seem to mess up breakfast no problem. Overcooked eggs, bacon that shatters when it hits the plate. Jailhouse Cafe delivered the most perfectly poached eggs I've had since I ate at the Ritz in San Fran. Most places when ordered, I get some sort of 'version' of poached that's nothing even close to poached. Jailhouses were poached perfectly and to order. The bacon was amazing. My wife had cakes and sausage and she loved hers too.

Most attentive breakfast experience I've had in a while. Fresh spinach in the feta, spinach and mushroom omelet is just that, fresh not sauteed spinach. Thank you. And the omelet was not overwhelmed with cheese, thank you. Fortunately, the potatoes were soft, crispy crunchy, yummies but because they had more salt than I can eat, I didn't overeat my meal. Thank you! I would return for breakfast! After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Jose was our server and he was fantastic! I have some food allergies and he was wonderful in taking into account to ensure nothing was going to be a problem. He was quick, friendly, and incredibly helpful! The food was delicious, reasonably priced and came out quickly!

This place is absolutely amazing!!! This is the BEST customer service I have had in a long time. The waitress was over the top amazing! I got the chorizo scramble and it was so good. The food was A+++. We will definitely be back. Parking was not the best but was still okay with us. Good job Jailhouse cafe.

Awesome customer service! It was quite incredible how quick they are without compromising the quality of the food. Pictures are, eggs Benedict, lingonberry swedish pancakes, and a Greca omelette. Keep in mind, this is a breakfast only place. They close at noon.

Stopped here for a late breakfast. Good choice! Wonderful service!! I had the Chorizo Scramble. Delicious! Hubby had pancakes and the soul food bacon. You have to try the bacon. Melts in your mouth!
