The
youth
hostel
was
built
in
1907,
which
you
can
see
in
the
corridors
in
a
positive
way
-
it
has
the
feel
of
an
old
school
building,
and
there
is
also
a
history
board
on
the
ground
floor.
It's
easy
to
get
involved
with
all
the
details
in
the
building.
Our
4-bed
room
was
modern
but
a
bit
cool.
There
are
cupboards
and
two
chairs.
It
was
chic,
but
not
comfortable.
Also
a
bit
small
for
4
people.
I
like
that
all
rooms
have
bathrooms
and
ours
was
quite
large.
There
was
enough
space
for
your
own
things.
It's
a
youth
hostel,
but
at
least
hand
soap
would
have
been
nice.
The
breakfast
room
was
a
bit
confusing
because
there
are
several
areas,
but
that
was
ok.
There
were
three
types
of
sausage,
three
types
of
cheese
(one
of
which
went
to
the
vegan
alternatives
on
day
2...),
a
selection
of
muesli,
four
types
of
jam,
a
selection
of
bread.
A
toaster
and
a
pancake
machine
as
well
as
maple
syrup.
Ok
for
a
youth
hostel,
but
more
of
a
minimum.
Unfortunately,
the
honey
and
nut
nougat
cream
were
in
dark
dispensers,
so
I
had
a
hard
time
finding
them.
The
kitchen
staff
wasn't
helpful
due
to
their
lack
of
language
skills,
but
I
also
expect
that
in
a
youth
hostel
I
really
liked
the
lounge
area.
It
is
bright
and
very
modern,
there
are
quiet
corners
where
you
can
chat.
Snacks
are
available.
The
selection
of
a
wine
is
small,
but
ok.
In
addition
to
alcoholic
ones,
there
are
also
some
non-alcoholic
cocktails.
I
thought
they
were
delicious
and
at
around
5
euros
they
were
also
ok
in
terms
of
price.
A
highlight
were
the
glasses
-
very
suitable
for
photos
:)
There
is
also
fitness
equipment
in
the
courtyard.
And
the
staff
was
very
nice,
there
is
even
a
staircase
at
the
counter
for
little
guests.
The
location
is
one
of
the
biggest
negative
points
-
but
the
hostel
can
do
little
about
it.
Although
it
is
clearly
visible
from
the
Ostkreuz,
you
cannot
go
through
it
directly
but
have
to
take
a
detour.
And
unfortunately
you
can
easily
get
lost
at
Ostkreuz.
The
description
on
the
website
is
ok,
but
it
would
be
nice
if
such
an
important
point
were
already
signposted
at
the
train
station.
Unfortunately,
the
location
next
to
the
train
station
and
a
main
street
means
that
it
is
extremely
loud.
Even
with
the
window
closed,
the
noise
can
be
heard
and
felt.
This
doesn't
work
without
earplugs.
Conclusion
If
you
don't
value
comfort
and
peace
but
want
to
stay
with
your
travel
group
in
a
historically
interesting
building
and
explore
Berlin
from
there,
or
if
you
want
to
drink
a
beer
and
chat
in
the
evening,
this
hostel
is
the
right
place
for
you.
