Haven’t been to the Roebuck for years and we met with friends who’d recommended it. Eight of us had an absolutely brilliant meal with efficient, friendly service. Excellent menu, beers and wine. There is a choice of main meals as well as Tapas size plates/starters. The pub is really cosy and stylish. We’re already thinking about when we’ll next return.

Food and drink excellent and good value (dinner and breakfast) lovely ambience in the restaurant / bar area. Would go again to eat. The rooms are individual and very fully furnished - to the extent that it's not so easy to move around them ! We stayed in the 'Merlot' room, which has a tub and washbasins in the room, and a loo in a partitioned area, so if privacy is a concern then check before booking. It's a quiet spot in a quiet village, but with good access. One star missing because despite the level of decoration it was hard to shave (no electric point, and no plugs for the sinks), the tap stand wobbled, and a picture had slipped in its frame - small stuff, but details matter.

We visited yesterday morning for breakfast and had a lovely experience. The waitress was on her own and the dining area was quite busy and we wanted to highlight with this review what a wonderful job she was doing working hard to tend to everyone’s needs. It didn’t go unnoticed by us. My friends and I thought she was lovely and went over and above to make sure we had what we needed , space on the table and took away the things we didn’t etc. We had a very relaxed and welcoming experience and thank the waitress for making it so. Highly recommend this pub and will definitely be returning.

Great country pub, with very efficient and friendly staff. Good varied choice on the menu - the stars being the dishes on the dessert menu which were sumptuous. Good choice of wines too. Lovely atmosphere inside the traditional old inn. Being directly opposite another pub on the narrow lane did make the entrance and exit to the small car park difficult. Accessible parking is very limited. One word of advice - check with staff for how long you have your table. We weren't informed when booking that there was a time limit and were asked to leave - albeit politely, yet service was not exactly speedy. There was quite a long wait between starters and mains which is to be expected on a busy Sunday lunchtime.

It's been a long time since we visited the Roebuck, and we weren't disappointed. Good range of food on the menu and we had 4 delicious meals. Service and attention was excellent. Not cheap but well worth the money.

We have eaten here several times but our last visit surpassed all others. Lunch for four with dog, so we were allocated a great table in the corner next to the fire. The service was fantastic, all staff and the manager were just genuinely lovely. We skipped starters because we wanted dessert. All dishes perfect. We had Cod Loin on risotto with brown shrimp, my brother had Chicken supreme and sister in law had fish and chips. All cooked exceptionally well. Desserts ,choc fondant, apple crumble and pear sponge. Wine menu good with wine stating at £20. Bill came to £100, £25 per head. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Visited here with some friends for a Sunday roast and so glad we did! Lovely unique pub with a great atmosphere l, friendly staff and good food. Only constructive / reason for 4 stars. Our seat happened to be a high table next to the kitchen, I imagine for drinks it’s great but for food - you are regularly being interrupted by staff and people paying. We also asked for water for the table 3x and it kept not arriving.

We booked a room for two nights and could not have been more happy. The rooms and Inn are lovely, I felt like I was in the French countryside. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were outstanding. The staff were all helpful and we would happily stay again 😊

Had lunch here. Food really good, the Sunday roast which a couple or people in the party had, is one of the best around I'm told. I had the burger, which was really good and the bun made it even better. Chips not as good as the bulls head though. Staff friendly and atmosphere nice, although the tables are packed in tight. Overall well worth a visit.

Perfect place to stay. Very attentive staff, would definitely recommend. Love to go back. Only thing missing was a TV in the room. BUT that is not a complaint 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Pub was in the most picturesque villages. Ambience and host was wonderful. I kid you not the food was fantastic & met a lovely couple from New Zealand, to wrap the evening up. Don't miss out. Thanks x

My favourite pub in Mobberley. I’ve heard very good things about the pub over the road but haven’t made it in there yet as the Roebuck does such lovely food. The pub itself is stunning. You can feel like you’re in a corner of a Parisian bar at the right time of the day. The sharing plates were incredible and they are dog friendly - would recommend!

What a great place this is. Now I admit our experience of trying to park around here was a bit of a nightmare with a full small car park, but it is worth the effort. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming inside with good service. I had the excellent venison bourguignon and a few pints of IPA and cannot fault any of what I had. I would also add that it was remarkable value for money as well

Great food, great service as always. I had the fish tacos for starters, which were delicious. This was followed by the roast beef dinner, which is exceptional.

What a gorgeous place! Delicious food, the gardens are stunning and the rooms are so stylish. My fiancée and I enjoyed our visit so much that we couldn't resist booking our wedding ceremony in the garden area! We can't wait! Thank you to Amy for booking and chatting with us.

Great lunch here. We had a few small plates and a kids meal. Monkfish, cod tacos, tasty chorizo. Each very tasty. Really nice cosy feel inside, good garden area for when it's warm too.

Excellent food, drink and very welcoming staff. The room was also well furnished and surprisingly quiet, given the popularity and bustling nature of the restaurant below.

Ate Friday 1st. Very busy, good service. Had Beef Bourguignon and Dauphinoise potatoes. Beef could have done with another half hours cooking and potatoes were dry.

Lovely authentic place, delicious food at reasonable prices & great service. One down side to here, there isn't enough parking facilities

We went for a 40th birthday meal. A lovely cosy room, excellent service, very good quality food and generous portions. Reasonably priced except for a child's burger meal which cost almost £16! Only negative was the cask beer that was lukewarm, no condensation on the glass. I will certainly go again.

Hubby and I stayed last night and what a place! The rooms were quirky which is what we wanted and the staff were amazing, they bent over backwards to help us to make our stay the best it could be, and as for the food...pure heaven. Will be back for sure. Only downside was parking, as the carpark is shared between The Roebuck and The Bulls Head it was packed. Get there early, there is roadside parking though.

This is a must visit.. the atmosphere, staff, food and feel of The Roebuck Inn are superb.. I'll definitely visit back here again, especially for that French Onion Soup.. Twin this with a visit to the Bulls Head across the road and you'll soon be on Rightmove looking for a place to move to. Thank you for giving me an experience making me want to move house for, exceptional.

Had a fantastic fish and chip meal here, recently. Could not fault it at all! Other members of our party had excellent meals as well from moules and frittes to the beefburgers, all very satisfying. Two things I really appreciated was the free water served at the table, without asking and the prices being very reasonable. Last but not least, the staff were very pleasant and customer centred. One of our party wanted the roast beef dinner but didn't want pink beef. The waitress asked the chef to cook the slices of beef well done. Would go back again and definitely recommend.

Very good gastropub food in pleasant surroundings. The staff were experienced and professional and whilst there isn't a specific children's menu, they were able to offer options for our little ones that they really enjoyed. The parking was a little crowded on the road outside but we found a space eventually. There are some nice walks from the pub - we did about 3 miles / 90mins over the fields (see picture) - a nice circular walk starting up Damson Lane.

Myself and my partner fell completely in love with this place. The room was nothing short of magical and it was one of the best meals we've had. My partner's only grumble was that he would have liked a real ale, the cask ales they had on were chilled...

I can’t believe I’ve not been before! Always chasing the sun I opted for its neighbour, as a treat to my mother I booked a birthday lunch here. I was pleasantly surprised, quaint courtyard with secluded spots you wouldn’t know you we’re next to a road. For food we tried all of the small dishes (tapas style) super tasty and enough to share. Engaging staff and a quirky interior see for a perfect visit. We will be returning soon

Lovely place to sit and have dinner, nice little place away from the main road so can't hear any cars or anything like that. Very nice food. Gluten free options need improvement. Not the food itself but it's prep. All round amazing place to be though.

We had an enjoyable late lunch at the Roebuck on Sunday. The menu has plenty of variety in addition to traditional Sunday lunch. The staff are very friendly and the service was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals and had a good time.

Great little pub. Room was fantastic, large plant of space. Bed was really soft. Nice shower room. We had an evening meal and breakfast with them. The food was excellent quality and good portion size. The restaurant is small and dark but that is part of its charm. The staff were really friend. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again.

We stopped for lunch yesterday (21/3/22) and was not disappointed. The server (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name) was brilliant. He was on his own but managed everyone very well, greeted everyone and was just lovely. Service was amazing. You would never know there was only one server! I normally am not one to leave reviews but felt I should to let the roebuck in know that their staff yesterday, along with the food were fantastic.
