The facility is gorgeous but the way we were treated...awful.

Recently attended an outdoor wedding here. Mid May was a bit hot outside and no spring flowers in bloom but it was still a pretty property for this area. I think with the right catering and decorating company this can make for a great venue.

We had our wedding at Kirk House at the end of March, and it was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect and everyone really enjoyed it. The house was great for getting ready (both groomsmen and bridesmaids). We set up a tent in the lawn, and it was gorgeous. The only negative comments I have for this venue are the road noise, train noise, and overall logistical expectations. The road is quite close to the oak tree, where we held our ceremony. There was some noise, but we had a microphone for the officiant so it did not impact the ceremony. There are also railroad tracks across the street; thankfully the train did not pass by during our ceremony but I was afraid of how noisy it would have been if that had happened. Finally, when we booked our wedding with Kirk House, we were told (verbally) that the property was very relaxed with event end time, and we could basically end at any time during the evening that we wanted to. We have a family that loves to dance, so this was very appealing to us. During the week leading up to the event, it became clear that this was no longer the case. On the day of the wedding, the owners husband John informed us that if we were not out of the house by exactly midnight, the doors would be locked and we would not be permitted to enter. Thankfully, the party was already winding down by this time so it did not negatively impact us. However, it was disappointing to expect flexibility and not receive it. Otherwise, this was an extremely beautiful venue. Our big day was perfect. I definitely recommend it to anyone to use for their own wedding.

Beautiful setting for our April wedding reception! Rental included tables, chairs, tablecloths and dance floor as well as set up and tear down. Staff was very friendly and easy to work with Would definitely recommend for any kind of event!

The owner became real rude toward the end of our party. The issue she had. Was quickly solved. She talked to the Dj rude. There was no reason she had That to do. I hope she think about her actions, And she doesn't act like this toward anybody else.

The wedding I had there back in 2017 was absolutely beautiful! Before having the wedding the owner was extremely nice and stated that security would be on the property the day of the wedding. I didn’t like how close the wedding was to the freeway but other than that, my wedding was perfect. When it came down to the reception, the owner did not leave the kirk house home. Later I found out from a staff member that the owners moved back into the home even though we were told before booking they did not live there. There weren’t any security as promised. During our whole reception time, the owner and her husband lingered around making guest feel very uncomfortable and uneasy. She then told us we had to get ready to end the reception even though we still had time in our package remaining. That left me cleaning up on my DAY in my WEDDING dress and having to let guests know this would be the last song played for the night which left people somewhat confused as the timing did not add up on why it was ending so early. I wasn’t going to leave a review but when my nursing coworker informed me that she booked this venue recently and the owner did the exact same thing, I had to say something. Beautiful property but bad way of doing business in my personal opinion.

We visited this place for a wedding. The staff were pleasant and well done. The only downside was the noise from the highway.

My sister's wedding. The staff were exceptionally nice, and the house was interesting. The front of the grounds are close to the road, but the area my sister had her ceremony was at the rear of the property so that wasn't an issue.
