We
had
our
wedding
at
Kirk
House
at
the
end
of
March,
and
it
was
absolutely
beautiful.
The
weather
was
perfect
and
everyone
really
enjoyed
it.
The
house
was
great
for
getting
ready
(both
groomsmen
and
bridesmaids).
We
set
up
a
tent
in
the
lawn,
and
it
was
gorgeous.
The
only
negative
comments
I
have
for
this
venue
are
the
road
noise,
train
noise,
and
overall
logistical
expectations.
The
road
is
quite
close
to
the
oak
tree,
where
we
held
our
ceremony.
There
was
some
noise,
but
we
had
a
microphone
for
the
officiant
so
it
did
not
impact
the
ceremony.
There
are
also
railroad
tracks
across
the
street;
thankfully
the
train
did
not
pass
by
during
our
ceremony
but
I
was
afraid
of
how
noisy
it
would
have
been
if
that
had
happened.
Finally,
when
we
booked
our
wedding
with
Kirk
House,
we
were
told
(verbally)
that
the
property
was
very
relaxed
with
event
end
time,
and
we
could
basically
end
at
any
time
during
the
evening
that
we
wanted
to.
We
have
a
family
that
loves
to
dance,
so
this
was
very
appealing
to
us.
During
the
week
leading
up
to
the
event,
it
became
clear
that
this
was
no
longer
the
case.
On
the
day
of
the
wedding,
the
owners
husband
John
informed
us
that
if
we
were
not
out
of
the
house
by
exactly
midnight,
the
doors
would
be
locked
and
we
would
not
be
permitted
to
enter.
Thankfully,
the
party
was
already
winding
down
by
this
time
so
it
did
not
negatively
impact
us.
However,
it
was
disappointing
to
expect
flexibility
and
not
receive
it.
Otherwise,
this
was
an
extremely
beautiful
venue.
Our
big
day
was
perfect.
I
definitely
recommend
it
to
anyone
to
use
for
their
own
wedding.
