So I will say after reading the reviews I was skeptical about staying here but I took a chance and stayed and let me tell you I'm glad I did if nothing else bur to experience the staff they are phenomenal every one of them. Is the motel dated and need upgrades, yes but guess what they are doing that right now, they started at the top and working their way down and no not once was it noisy, loud or dirty. Just remember most people only write reviews when they want to complain but fewer write ones when they are happy. Bottom line is the restaurant is great, M club is great staff and stay are great!! Enjoy your stay and enjoy the staff and make your own opinion. The pictures I am attaching were taken on 5/13/2022

This is an excellent and UPDATED Marriott! Impeccable service! Special thanks to the morning staff and Brooklyn, who went out of her way to make sure myself and my group were well attended to! 😃

We was there from this month 10th room was nice. horrible customer service in breakfast lounge restaurant, after the breakfast we had to go order bagel and coffee from Starbucks.we couldn't eat anything because the lady serving us she keep coming back to us did you pay? I give her my room number and let her know please charge it to my card, she keep coming back keep coming back I don't know what was in her mind going on about 5 or 6 times then we left after paying $95 including her $10 tips , I had a guest with me it was really embarrassing. I did say to her again and again I have my card in your system please please charge it to that card (Acct # 16736/Room 1001). Thank you for reading my review.

Contacted the hotel more than twelve hours before arrival to get one king instead of two doubles. No response. Contacted them again. Guess what?: no response. Checking in, the trainee clearly has not been trained and has no idea what to do with elite status guests. (I don't blame the trainee, I blame the management). This continued to be my experience with most of the front desk employees. All of them were nice, but they all had different ideas of elite benefits (due to management training). My room was okay although a bit dated, although the shower didn't drain at all. Surely housekeeping should note this when cleaning. Also, I was worried about my car in this area of town (I was surprised the parking was free). Management is clearly just out for the bottom line and employees are trying to do their best but aren't actually trained because $$$$$$$$$

Stay far away! Traveled from Florida back to Texas stayed 1 night. Horrendous experience very badly maintained shouldn’t be called a Marriott!! Trash stacked high in bins lobby floors and elevators are filthy. Room was nice but unfortunately couldn’t get to enjoy we were moved 4 different times due to AC not working in none of the rooms. Finally the last room they put us in was just as bad 79 degrees throughout the night. Got up at 4am and left as quick as we could! The only positive was the young maintenance guy really did everything he could to get us comfortable but unfortunately he was overwhelmed with multiple maintenance calls….

I have never had such a rough experience at a Marriott. This property is not Marriott quality. I let staff know on Tuesday about 1) the sink draining slow 2) the toilet continuously running and 3) the shower door not closing. The sink was the only item that got fixed. I had to jiggle the toilet handle my whole stay through Friday! Then on Wednesday I asked for more towels at 2 pm and was told multiple times by different staff that they were on the way. Then by 6-7 pm I was told the towels were in the dryer and they'd bring them right up...they didn't come. Thank goodness I had a washcloth in my work bag. Thursday morning I spoke with management before leaving out foe my conference and was told towels would be brought up. That still didn't happen. I did not receive towels until Thursday night after 8 pm--- 30 hours after my request. So two stars was only because Nya finally made the effort to get me some towels and Ms. Lee apologized for the inconvenience and Jada was super sweet upon my departure. This property again was not Marriott quality. The rooms are nice aesthetically however there are things that just weren't OK. The room doors don't shut unless you physically pull them all the way closed. If shower doors don't close you reallllly need to have plenty of towels available... If you can't maintain quality accommodations and service while making improvements, then shut down until the renovations are completed and you can keep up with maintenance. I've never been so disappointed with a Marriott stay.

The hotel says 7 miles from the airport but takes 20 mins to drive to with all the lights. The room was renovated, but my doors deadbolt would fail to disengage, leaving the door open. I let management know, but it was never fixed. Another person had a shower that only gave hot water, and his room was not fixed, nor was he told they couldn't fix it until he came back and found it not fixed. I understand the place is under renovation, but the customers should not be the ones doing quality control.

Once we entered our room, my wife and I check everything out. The bathroom sink was backed up and smelled like sewage. The toilet flushed very, very slowly. The refrigerator was not working and was sitting in a pool of water. The telephone was not working. Went to front desk to complain. Were told there were no more rooms available. They would send someone up to fix the problems. Two more trips to the front desk. Still no one came up. Went to sleep. The next morning the bathroom sink was backed up even more. Complained at front desk. While we were out for the afternoon someone came and got the refrigerator working. Nothing else was done. Back to the front desk. They finally gave us another room. Much better but the phone didn't work in this one either. Was told upon checking out that they would comp our 1st night stay. My card was debited for both nights. I'm now in the process of fighting for my refund.

I booked this hotel in the event I needed to stay on my booked night as I was traveling for a tournament. I wasn't sure if we would need the room, so I made sure that I would be able to cancel if needed. Both online and my confirmation email states that I would be able to cancel by the following day after I booked if it was prior to 11:59pm local time. I ended up not needing the room so I cancelled around 4:45pm on the day that I could cancel by and received a cancellation confirmation email. I checked my credit card activity a few days later and noticed that I had been charged. After several calls to the Mobile Marriott, I am now being told that I will still be charged due to THIS particular hotel's cancellation policy that I was not notified of. THIS HOTEL OPERATES UNDER DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Had a safe and enjoyable quick overnight stay. Property is well lit, lots of parking and friendly staff. Shout out to Craig at the bar/restaurant who definitely did his best to help out all the folks in his area by himself. Nothing was cold, nothing was delayed and he delivered all with a smile. Property is clean and the rooms are good. We had a nice view of downtown. Location is also wonderful as its near some nice restaurants and the mall. Would stay again!

Surprisingly nice hotel in a bit of a random part of Mobile. Recent renovations have made it quite nice. Wish it was closer to the airport.

Just completed a one night stay at this hotel. Stayed in a renovated room where they forgot to place a fridge in the room. Still no lounge open as they have been saying for 2 years they are "renovating" the lounge. Fitness center has treadmills and ellipticals that are rusted and the touch screens do not work properly. Newly renovated room was NOT that nice. Shower had a plastic shell placed over the old shower and it was already pealing off. In addition, I decided to dine in the restaurant using my elite F&B credit. They could not print a receipt and I was unable to look at the emailed receipt until the next day. Of course they did not apply the F&B credit. I called the hotel and now they want to complete a credit card authorization form to refund the credit. Ridiculous! AVOID this hotel.

Room is completely redone. Stayed on the 20th floor so I’m not sure how many floors have been redone. The room did still smell like paint slightly. Gym is better than average. Convenient location. Comfortable bed.

So first we got to our room and it was muggy and smelled horrible! Also the door didn’t shut/lock all the way which is a must with little ones! They moved us to a different room which was much better and newer. The only other negative (a big negative) was that the shower started to not drain, I check why and discover all this hair in the drain! We had only been there 1 night so there is no way that’s all our hair! I had to remove it with a tissue! Gross! The only reason I am not giving a lower rating is because the staff was so nice and helpful!

Upon arriving, I was greeted with a warm smile. The staff was very accommodating until I started having issues in the room. First, the shower glass door was unlevel, causing the door to stay open when showering. They fixed it the next day. Next, the AC barely cooled the room throughout the day. Overnight, it then would become an icebox. Then, the windows would sweat so badly with perspiration the water drained to the floor seeping under the flooring. I don't know about you, but I strongly dislike walking around in a room with wet feet. Finally, when I checked out, I was not given the rate at which I was told per night. I have tried now for 3.5 weeks to resolve this matter, to no avail. So this is why this review is negative.

Convention! I spent 2 hours on the phone with 2 different reps trying to book a room. After being hung up on twice, I stayed elsewhere. The food the first night was disgusting. Raw hamburgers with burned exterior and mayonnaise instead of coleslaw. The next day, chicken and veggies was fine. Unfortunately, they ran out of food each meal so those in back did not get a full meal. In planning the convention, the service reps kept changing jobs so communication was difficult and what we were told did not happen. Promises made and broken. Do not recommend for business or pleasure. One man in the lobby spent an hour watching folks check in. He said it was incredibly slow service. Don't try to buy a soft drink, must stand in line at check out to pay, a line of 25 she said. Not worth a $3 drink. Complete nightmare.

After a year of renovations, their M-lounge is still closed, and the whole hotel hasn't been updated. The rooms now have tile floors(a plus). I'm glad they removed having a pool from their site, not sure if Google still has it listed. The pool has been filled and is now an outdoor patio. I was told it was a problem because people from the mall would come to swim. I think it would've been cheaper and catered to the guest if they gated it off and made it key accessible. Overall the mall is directly across the street on both sides as well as Sam's and popular food places.

I stayed at this location for a conference over the weekend. First, they allowed another group before ours to have late checkout, so hardly any rooms were cleaned and available when our groups began arriving at 3. Once they were ready, I was originally assigned to a renovated room, but I quickly noticed that there was a leak in the ceiling, which turned out to be a leak in the roof. I was moved to what they told me was the only available room left which happened to be on an unrenovated floor. Immediately I noticed that the shower curtain rod was falling down and the lamp shade was cracked and stained. Later I found stains on one of the duvets, gum on the carpet, a missing cover on the sink drain, no refrigerator, and other maintenance issues. Plus, the mattress was horribly uncomfortable. Obviously they stopped routine maintenance in anticipation of upcoming renovations. I was comped that night and told I would be first in line to switch rooms the next day when they had some checkouts. The next day, I was told all rooms that were being vacated were being filled with other arrivals. Eventually, my entire stay was comped. Outside of that, the meeting room was always too warm, banquet food was even worse than I usually expect banquet food to be, and there were no bathrooms open on the meeting room level. Breakfast food was acceptable. I will say is that the staff I encountered were all friendly and seemed like they were trying to do their best. Hopefully, the completion of renovations to all rooms and meeting areas will help bump up the experience of future guests.

Never in all my business travel have I ever met such a kind helpful front desk supervisor like Jerica Carter! She was such a pleasure to chat with and super helpful in sorting out some issues I had. This women went above and beyond and made me feel at home here in Mobile, AL. Will definitely be back! Thank you Jerica and Marriott team the staff at this location is awesome!!!!!

Served a purpose and filled a need for a large reunion. Felt sorry for the group sales girl being thrown into a new position with a new operating system she didn't know. Once she worked the wrinkles out it went more smoothly. Took at least 6 months to get everything finalized and confirmed. All the way to day or so before start date. We were sweating bullets waiting.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This web site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! I attended a real-estate customer appreciation event held by my cousin and it was quiet nice. The garden setup was nice, the staff were friendly and the food plentiful and delicious. The vendors presented vital information that produced financial benefits.

Super friendly staff. Good check in experience although once I got to the room instead of the king I reserved found a room with 2 doubles. Too tired from drive to deal with it so just accepted. Also normally receive a higher floor room (per member preferences) but I think they were consolidating guest for staffing considerations (which makes sense). This was a 20 floor facility and I was placed on the 6th floor. For the time we were there never noticed more than 7 or 8 cars in the lot (a Sunday through Tuesday stay). Morning breakfast staff were also very nice. Basic breakfast available cooked to order. Was on a breakfast rate so eggs, bacon, grits, toast. Did not have time to utilize any other amenities this trip.

I had an OK experience here. This location gets a A for effort. It could definitely use a deep cleaning inside and out. Staff is really nice, but are not helpful. This place is getting by on the bare minimum there is nothing exceptional or exciting. The AC is awful. My room was on the 14th floor beautiful view but the AC only whispers air into the room. It was extremely hot. No vents in the bathroom. After a hot shower the room feels like a sauna.

Terrible experience ! Marriott lost my reservation and the front desk took more than 45 minutes to give me a room. I arrived at 1 am and did not get to a room until nearly 2:00am . During the three days I stayed here I received no housekeeping services even after I requested them to bring me toilet paper . Truly the worst hotel experience of my life. Motel six has much better service! The breakfast buffet was $17.95 and it was awful !! Do not make the mistake of staying here. The shower was either all hot or all cold water. When asking for a new room I was ignored

Stayed in room 1113. The temperature in the room was fine at first. However, the next morning the room was warm although the thermostat indicated it was 71 degrees. Only stocked room with 3 sets of towels although the room was booked for 4 guests. Luckily, the front desk was able to resolve that issue. Guestroom appeared a little dated and due for an update.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The area was super quiet and the front desk made the check in process super easy at the front counter. I needed to print some items and the front desk staff printed them for me. I did find the idea that they use joint rooms and my neighbors hall ended to be a little loud. This was a weird experience but other than that I had a great time and would lodge here again.
