A literal speakeasy, hidden behind a bookshelf in the basement of a building, protected by a daily password, hosting a very Caribbean (well, Cuban) atmosphere behind its secretive entrance. This is the perfect spot to go for a drink or a Cuban sandwich after work, or a mojito and a cortadito late at night, with some live music. Service is amazing, and it's one of the most Miami places you can visit in the Gulf Coast. Check it out, but remember to look for the password in their social media first.

My wife and I decided to give Las Floriditas a try. All I can say is the experience was fabulous. From the very beginning it was interesting finding the restaurant in the bottom of a bank building. Next comes the secret password. Once you've completed your challenge, the bookshelf slides open in a slightly mysterious way and you begin to enjoy the exquisite decor. Now seated the menu and drinks enticing and draw you in deeper, am I in Cuba? We settled in for a long enjoyable evening of drinks and food. We had seven different drinks before dinner cocktails and after dinner adult coffee, all were fabulous. Then came the music at 8pm, we could have stayed all night. Appetizer excellent meals of the day. Fantastic music! Wonderful decor, prices extremely reasonable. Dress up and disappear in the enjoyable culture of Cuba.

A literal hidden gem in Downtown Mobile AL! Las Floriditas is such a unique and special addition and does not disappoint! If you can find your way to the bookshelf, you’ve arrived. But, be sure you have the secret password to enter! Lots of great menu options for cocktails and food. Even options for mocktails, and you can also ask for your own non-alcoholic drink if you don’t see it on the menu. Very accommodating. Live entertainment and great times here! Love this place!

The ambiance of this place is really cool. In the basement, in what looks like a bank vault and you need a password to enter. Mobile needed this. Saxophone player was an awesome addition. For the food, it was good. Very pleased it wasn't too salty because restaurants really get carried away with that, or they use low quality ingredients. Cuban sandwich needed a little more "love" but it was still pretty decent. Barbacoa was really good and they did a nice job with the black beans. Definitely recommend Las Floriditas to anyone wanting to break away from the norm.

Definitely a nice little after hours (secret) joint😎. The waiter Brandon says that the sloppy joe sandwich originated here (??). I admit that it tasted good and reminded me of the way my Mom use to make it. We ate in a real bank vault (first time). Real laid back place to chill for a minute...as long as you know the password that gets you pass security. Nice👍

I came in town for a night visiting from across the Bay and it was definitely worth it! The staff is what makes the place so enjoyable. Ryan, Anthony,Ray, and Roosevelt all deeply impacted our experience with their authentic kindness. We came at a slower time but it was enjoyable speaking to them and hanging out. They have live music fridays and Saturdays and I plan to come back. :) Also 3$ appetizers during happy hour from 4-6? You can’t beat it!

My husband and I LOVE the experience! I’m from Puerto Rico with Dominican and Cuban family and this place is legit with Cuban food and beverage. From the beginning that you get there is exciting. You have to say the password to get in and then the secret door opens; something of a movie. The waitress was so nice, she knows her menu and helps you if you are undecided to what you might like. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their drinks, they are delicious! My most two favorites were: 1. Piña colada: Wow! This place has the right flavor of a piña colada with the texture of an ice cream. 2. Viva Cuba Libre: oh my gosh! This was so refreshing perfect for summer The food is RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING!! Everything taste so fresh, it took me back to the island. If you are looking for real cuban food, this IS the place. The “Mojo Pork” was my absolute favorite dish. Ray, they chef, did such an amazing job in his cooking, is the perfect and right Cuban seasoning. We had the privilege to meet him and I felt proud for his success in his career learning the food of other cultures the right way. With deserts, I would say the guava flan is the real deal! It’s the perfect texture and so good; is definitely their specialty. The coconut tres leche is also really good. They also have live music starting at 8pm and you can dance.

Had a great time. They were so accommodating for my 1 year sober celebration. The atmosphere was incredible and we had a great waiter by the name of Ryan Ales. Much appreciated everyone and we will be back for salsa dancing!

If you haven't been here, then make plans to go! It's truly an experience. The collection of Cuban, Caribbean, Speak easy, Mobile history, Ernest Hemingway , musical talent, delicious food melted in to 1 fantastic setting. Service was top notch. Food was spot on. We will be going again!

I have had the pleasure of bringing corporate groups to Las Floriditas on several occasions. The management and staff are always helpful and take great care of us, the food and drinks are great, and everyone enjoys the atmosphere. The Vault room is great for groups and parties. Do mind the dress code and have the secret password to enter.

I appreciate a nice speakeasy joint. This one did not disappoint. We took the road less traveled and happened upon this spot one Saturday night. It’s behind a bookshelf in the basement of a tall building downtown. You can only gain access by way of the password (apparently it changes daily). Live music, great drinks, homemade pina coladas… There are 3 different spaces to enjoy… one is an actual bank vault- so cool! Service is great. There seemed to be some regulars who were familiar with the waitstaff. The regulars were a fun bunch lol!

Met up with friends for my 40th birthday. First time here. The entrance is really fun. The live music was a little loud for the intimate space. You literally could not hear each other to have a conversation. Table service was pretty slow, even just for drinks.

Such a cool little spot! They did a good job of setting that place up. The menu is small, but everything was fantastic!!! I love the suttle touches all through out. Service was just a tad slow or else it would be 5 stars but they were very busy so i cannot complain much. Will definitely return!

Amazing! Everything was absolutely amazing. The drinks were so good. The atmosphere was just what we wanted from a speakeasy. Food was very good, limited selection but very tasty especially for a speakeasy/bar. Coffee is a must, if you know anything about cuban coffee it's very strong and served just like that here, I recommend the cafe de leches it's not as bold as the regular. Wish I had room for dessert definitely have to go back just for that!

I hope this place continues to be our little secret. The vibe and atmosphere is amazing. I love ordering the Hemingway Bowl as it is seasoned to perfection, and the drinks are good too. The manager is extremely nice and so are the servers and other employees.

Nice place, good drinks, good food. Music was a little loud and didn't expect tv on the wall. It was fun and I'll eat their again. The Cuban sandwich was almost the same as I had in Miami at an authentic Cuban restaurant. So thumbs up 👍 on that.

Been going here for quite some time. The atmosphere is so cool. The wait staff is always wonderful. My only complaint is, online they list their dress code but they don't enforce it. Sometimes I want to dress up and have an adult evening out. I don't want to see cargo shorts, ball caps and flip flops. C'mon people!

I’ve been to a lot of speakeasy’s. This speakeasy fits in somewhere near the middle. Take the elevator (there’s a Las Floriditas mat on the ground in front of it) in the RSA Trustmark building to the basement and you’ll see the entrance to your right. This place gets really busy and seemed to have too few servers to handle the load. Since you can sit wherever you want, a particular server can get slammed with customers in a short amount of time. All that to say the service was quite poor. I suggest requiring reservations as some of my favorite speakeasy’s do. This will also give the customers a better experience instead of having guests stare at you constantly as they’re waiting to take your spot when you leave. Most speakeasy’s I have been to don’t serve food so having that option was fantastic. The food was fairly priced but I wouldn’t say it tasted all that great. The amount of cumin in the picadillo overpowered the entire dish. The Cuban sandwich was…a Cuban sandwich. The drinks were decent. Plenty of rum drinks of course but very few, maybe only one rum option that was not white rum. As the only speakeasy I could find on my visit to Mobile, I would say it’s worth checking out.
