What a peaceful place to visit. The doggy menu is better than the human one, but the food was very "English Pub" rather than "restaurant" quality. But still good. Prices are very reasonable, let's face it, you are going here for a doggie day out.

Beautiful park. Entrance fee has gone up to R45pp - tiny fee when you realise the incredible upkeep of the venue. Everyone is super friendly, staff and visitors alike. Best part is watching the dogs enjoy themselves together. The walk is lovely, it's extremely safe. There is a restaurant with amazing pizza, but you can also come to picnic or braai. I went on a week day, so the place was practically empty. I deposited cash into the honesty box. My dog enjoyed a new adventure since I've been promising to take her for a while. It's a lovely place. The best thing about it is that I can walk freely with my phone and take photos. It's very safe.

Felt terribly nervous going and taking my dog off her leash, but what a wonderful place! Loads of space to sit and have a picknick and play with your furry kids, dams for them to swim in, lovely trails to go for a walk, it is just awesome. The dogs love it even more, no fights as it is neutral ground and they can make plenty of friends.

My babies love doghaven. I love the fact that I don't have to put them on leashes. Restrict them from being dogs. I made it a tradition that every Sunday I take them to the park and they love it so much I don't even have to tell them to get in the car. When I reverse the car and open the boot they know it's time. All the dogs and dogs owners that you find are always friendly. You should try their famous pizzas. Absolutely amazing.

Walkhaven Dog Park is a wonderful place to spend the day with your pup. It not only offers great pet friendly facilities for the family but it also has great little trails and dams to walk with your dog (dams are not for fishing or swimming - only dogs can swim). I would definitely pack some gumboots if you plan on braving the muddy areas but most of the park one can access in normal sneakers. The park is well maintained with braai facilities for those wanting to spend the day braaing, a beautiful restaurant with fantastic pizza and it is always well maintained and clean.The owners are also very friendly and accommodating. One of the best features of the park is that it has the great dog wash team. Martin and his team are friendly and really go all out to make the pups feel comfortable with the wash,dry and brush and it's all done in front of you, so if pup is feeling a bit nervous, you can be with them through the entire process. I love this dog wash team they have and its one of the main reasons, not the only reason but definitely a great addition to why I am drawn to Walkhaven. (Dog wash is only at the park on Saturdays and Sundays but there are places for pup to wash off if it's during the week days too.) The park and the dog wash are reasonably priced too so if you have more than one pup, it makes it more affordable - they have various pay options too, if you dont carry cash for the trust box (if the hut is closed), you can use zapper and other payment options even. So not only do you get to have a great day out with your family (Walkhaven is our favourite place and absolutely awesome!) but you get to spend it with your pups too. Lastly because of the dog wash, you get to make sure that after all that fun in the dams and the mud, our pups get to go home clean. We absolutely love Walkhaven, with all its features, its beauty and its dog wash team and highly reccommend it to anyone wanting to make a day out of it with their family and pups.

First time visiting Walkhaven and it was a real treat! R45 per human entrance fee - dogs are free 😉. The park is kept in good condition - a lot of roaming space for all the dogs and dams so definitely take a towel with in case your doggo takes a swim! The dog box Restaurant: We ordered two pizzas which were good! PS: they also have "doggy bag" food menu for your dog! We chose chicken strips and wors doggy bags🐶. Overall a good experience and will most definitely return with our dogs!

One of the best off-lead dog parks in Jhb. It's a big area that's fenced in so your dogs are safe and there are 2 big dams so they can have a little swim if they want. And then for their humans there's a nice restaurant with delicious food and ice cold beer. It's a pretty spectacular day out for both you and your pups.

Wow I'm in awe such a beautiful place for all doggies and what I love is that it's a place of palace for dogs fun running around. Perfect place for your dogs to be free and open to have fun .

We went late on a Sunday afternoon and it was almost empty, nice space for dogs to walk and lots of water for them to swim in! Make sure your dog is well socialized to take bring them to WalkHaven. Didn't taste the food this time but they have a small restaurant and picnic spots with fixed umbrellas. Lovely place for the dogs!

It's a wonderful place to walk safely with your dogs. Seems like part of a farm with green grass, trees and a dam where the dogs take a swim. Braai facilities and benches available. Restaurant is well priced and offers excellent breakfast menu. We haven't tried the other meals yet. They provide water for the dogs and you don't have to worry about the dog poop. Entrance fee R40 and R25 for children and seniors. Toilet facilities clean and fresh.

Me and Mario went with Itomias. Itomias got a fright when a friendly Great dane came to say halo. Hahaha I guess he never knew he isn't the biggest dog around. We really enjoyed every moment there. Will definitely go as soon as possible. It was a lovely day.

I enjoyed taking my dogs for a walk and im sure my dogs loved it way more! Its very big and spacious for dogs to meet and enjoy the company of other doggos and friends. They can jump into the dam for a swim (only dogs allowed to swim) or run around to explore. Food and refreshments are available to buy. There is also benches and sitting areas around the dam to enjoy the beautiful nature. Im definitely going back to walk my dogs here again 😎👌🐶

We love Walkhaven. My fur baby loves it even more !!! Huge open spaces,extremely peaceful, no loud music. I have seen lots of.people visiting without dogs ...just enjoying other peoples' babies. 2 large dams reserved for fur visitors only. The food at the on site restaurant ( The Dog Box) is always delicious.

This is a great place for dogs to socialise and run free off leash. Just remember that not all dogs have the same manners as your dog. So there is always some risk involved. This is a place only for well socialised and trained dogs.

Beautiful atmosphere , but dont order pizzas you will wait forever and then they will give your order to someone else.

Absolutely great area to take your 🐕 for a walk/run/swim. Also to keep yourself fit. There is a restaurant or you could have your own picnic here. Very neat and clean. Highly recommended.

Awesome little park for dogs to be unleashed and run abound. Shady seating scattered around the place and a comfortable restaurant that provides tasty thin based pizzas. Dogs take priority here, not their walkers. Community is respectful, inviting and calm.

I love Walkhaven its clean, the food at restaurant is good. We like to go there when its overcast so it's not too hot. Our dogs are little Pekingese.

Such a great place to take the fur kids and family. Love that you can take your picnick basket and own beverages if you want and that you can even decide to braai. There is also the pizza 'mut' if you get hungry and didnt pack a basket or brought any meat. Delicious pizza's 🤤 and if you run out of beverages there are luckily a shop/restaurant that has a couple of things We try go once or every second month. We always end up spending the whole day here and the fur kids can run freely. The whole atmosphere is great too, we have never had any bad experiences here but know well you should love dogs because its their time to run freely and might come up to great you.. It is such a nice place to chill and to focus on nature away from the city. I love going here 😁 my fiance even proposed to me here

Beautiful park for dogs. It has a well kept garden, lawn and pond that all dogs will love. It gas a pizza restaurant if you're hungry and lots of places to sit down and enjoy the scenery.

Walkhaven is a wonderful, safe spot for off-leash dogs to take their humans for a walk. :) In addition to the fun walks and beautiful scenery, there are also lots of bird and butterfly species to be seen. I would definitely recommend this beautiful place for all dog lovers!

Fantastic outing and dog paradise

This place is amazing for both dogs and dog lovers. The air is so fresh. The dogs are so happy. A few inconsiderate ppl who don't pick up after their dog. There's a Cafe there it was too busy so we didn't try anything out. Next time I will be there early as it really gets full.

Nothing better than being able to let our doggo off the leash and run wild and free. Walkhaven is a privately owned park that has security access. R40 per human and dogs are free. There is plenty of space to roam free and let the doggos just interact and have fun. Beautiful views, well looked after open areas, a restaurant that makes affordable and delicious pizzas! If you haven't been you're missing out.

An amazing place to take your dogs and spend the day. The park is clean and well looked after. There are tons of places to sit and have a braai/picnic with lots of shade. There is also a restaurant which has plenty of outdoor seating to allow you dog to roam around. A great experience for everybody!

Been there 3 times now - our boy loves it to bits. Lots of open space and places to explore. Other dog owners all seem friendly. It's the perfect outing during covid times. Only gripe is the water quality of the two ponds - I get that there is running water feeding into them but I don't know for sure how safe it is for the dogs to be swimming in them.

It was our first time at walkhaven and we had such a wonderful experience. I was very nervous to let pepper off her lead but all of the dogs there were super friendly ! Nothing to be nervous about at all. It’s R40 entrance for adults and we brought our own picnic stuff to sit and chill under a tree while pepper ran around finding friends to play with. Beautiful scenery, very well kept. We just got a bit tired of the flies coming to visit us when we were enjoying our picnic, and with the wind blowing, the smell of dog poo is quite strong. So my advice would be to walk around more than sitting and it’s definitely a 5/5 star experience for yourself and your puppy !

Great place to go an walk your dogs. Nice big open park and the dogs love the off leash walking. I would just like to see the braai facilities updated a bit. The braais are falling apart in some places and we would not us them in their current state. For the entrance fee charged I don't think thats too much to ask. Would make the experience even nicer if you could have a braai there. Only reason its not getting 5 stars. Otherwise great place and we plan to go again.

The property is well kept and secure. Staff are friendly. Some agro dog owners though.
