Such a special experience! My husband surprised me here for my 30th birthday and they were extremely welcoming. They give attention to little details, such as setting up for us a picnic inside when the weather was too cold. The service was exceptional and the owner very considerate of his guests. Definitely want to come back again soon for another special occasion!

This review is long overdue but my hubby and I stayed here for the weekend and it was the most relaxing stay we've had in a while. The cabins were big, clean and well kept. Tea, coffee, rusks and water were refilled and housekeeping came to clean everyday. They had a common room with activities and games, a spa (which is highly recommended! One of the best massage I've had), restaurant (all the food Hubby and I had were sooooooo good! Came back for more each time and they were big servings so we could have the leftovers for the next meal. Also we did the trails, nothing hectic but the view was great and the walk was relaxing and it was nice to be out to get some fresh air. It's just a bit of a drive from JHB but if you're looking for a place to relax for the weekend, I definitely recommend staying here!!! Thank you Jeremy and team for taking care of us

Loved it. So relaxing, nice and quiet. Staff are really helpful. Israel in particular went the extra mile to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The cabin was very neat and comfortable. A real getaway staying amongst the trees.

Whispering Pines is a gem in Magaliesburg. The staff were friendly and willing to go the extra mile and they can give you a customized experience. Excellent customer service. This place was exactly what I needed for RRR. I was a bit reluctant about the options on menu at first but when the food arrived I was pleasantly tantalized by the flavors. I absolutely loved the peaceful relaxing ambience of this place. Short walks, a beautiful natural environment with clean fresh air, table tennis, snooker and a relaxing poolside. WP met my requirements for downtime. There was no wifi in the cottages which is an issue for some people but for me at the time.....was a blessing.

What an exceptional establishment! They went above and beyond for me and my wife. For the guys out there, look no further than to treat your special someone and make it a special time away from home. Oh yeah and the food is top tier! 11/10

Out of all my traveling experiences I think this place blew me away!! I cannot stop talking about how lonely the place is. Not to mention the staff that was helping us, their service was beyond exceptional particularly Mr. Israel and Mr.Elias. They made our stay memorable and commendable. I don't think I have ever met such wonderful hosts in my experience. The place and the hosts have set the bar for me. The food was amazing 👏 😋 compliments to the chef as well☺ Thank you once again guys...

This might be a 4-star hotel but the service is equivalent to a 5-star establishment. All the staff members aim to make your stay as memorable as possible. They go out of their way to ensure that a special occasion is truly special. The grounds are neat and the setting is magical. Thank you especially to Elias - your service was exceptional!

The pictures does do it justice, the place is so beautiful and peaceful at the same time...oh I have to salute the stuff wow they are very friendly and very hands on. I highly recommend this place

I believe this is a nice place. Unfortunately, my last night was a terrible night. I could not sleep at all because my next door played loud music and talked loud from 8PM till after 11:30PM. As guests, we feel very sad. I had talked to them twice, music was off, but loud talking kept on going. I do not think I can stay here again.

A hidden gem, tranquil space surrounded by lush trees. It has a spa on site, comfortable queen studio if cabins are not your thing. Fresh and delicious food served . Justin, Jeremy and team really made our stay a pleasant refreshing one. We where catered to with a smile always. Thank you, I've already referred friends to book.

The most relaxing experience I have ever had. The staff are all kind and friendly and really attentive as well. The rooms were immaculate, clean and well kept and everything worked. The food was incredible and looked almost as good as it tasted. The location provides a proper escape from the city despite being just an hour out of Jhb it felt like we were in another country. I arrived tired and worn out only to leave like a new person ready to take on the world! Thank you Whispering Pines for giving us the experience of a lifetime! Will definitely be returning!

A fantastic little getaway destination. Wonderful service, great restaurant, and an interesting walking trail. All the facilities you would expect - including WiFi, swimming pool, and a games room. Quiet, clean, serene, and comfortable all round. Definitely a place we are going to go back to. A special word of thanks to Lucky for his outstanding service!

A short drive from Joburg or Gabs - wonderful staff, great food, and a clean, well maintained property make for a lovely getaway. The trees provide plenty of shade, and rustle in the breeze. Cottages are rustic but well maintained. Everything is clean. I wish we could have stayed longer to try the whole menu - everything we tried was delicious!

Serenity in all its glory. Super friendly hosts, from the security guards to the manager and everyone in between. I will definitely be making my way back to this gem and staying longer than a weekend, there is just so much to explore!

Enjoyed every minute. Lodges are well equipped with all necessities.The service is exceptional and accomodating.The rooms are comfortable, warm and homely.I would not recommend the food. The pool was too cold 🥶 on my visit, could not endulge.
