🫤 Beautiful place, I always catch something here, dark plastics have the best results, but the place is overpriced. After recent visits I'll not be fishing here again. Other places are half the price and have more exciting fishing. The grass is a serious problem, you need a clean a weedless rig ever... People often mention fishing, grass, kids, staff, dams, area,

Beautiful place, I always catch something here, dark plastics have the best results, but the place is overpriced. After recent visits I'll not be fishing here again. Other places are half the price and have more exciting fishing. The grass is a serious problem, you need a clean a weedless rig every cast. It seems like they are doing something about it. Shop is never open and understocked. Unfortunately, the staff makes the experience unpleasant. The person working at the gate is extremely arrogant and pretends he is the king of the dams. He seems to think he's presence there is a favour to mankind. In a recent visit, a lady came up to check my hooks as I was leaving at 17h50. She ran her thumb over the crimped barb several times and claimed it is not good enough. Fist off, if it really was not crimped, you would not be able to run your thumb over it. Just before she arrived to police me I caught 2 one pounders and the hook came out with ease. I used 4/0 wide gap thick wire worm hooks with the barb bent down. The petty behavior off staff sours the experience and ruins a good day fishing.

Personally I didn't enjoy it at all at Gnu, R160 a angler and R80 for a child over 2, Harries has less grass in the water than this place, staff are quiet arrogant and being my second time over 4 years this will be my last visit, there are much better venues at a cheaper price.

The owner is one rude racist person. The staff seem like they are on the movie Get Out. It's like taking a trip into 1975. Just say it's for whites only. But then again even white people complain about the treatment here. It's not a privilege to be there if we are paying an overpriced fee to enter yet they act like their place is God's gift to us all. Been here twice and don't recommend it to anyone. There are many cheaper and nicer places in the area. The owner will talk down on you in a condescending manner. Ended up sitting in her car watching me and practically forcing me pack up and leave. Driving all around me and In front of me as we were leaving as if I was getting escorted out for who knows what. Let them buckle under their own poor business ethic. Don't go there.

Nice place for a picnic, but NOT for fishing. Lots of grass even though we were told that most of it had been removed. I didnt see anyone catch anything in the time we were there. It's very expensive for what you get, and they check that your barbs on the hooks have been flattened for some reason. Keen fisherman will give this one a miss. The sand road to the venue is also in horrendous condition. Not my cuppa tea.

Lots of grass and weeds. Very low maintenance done on the dams wasn't fun and not good fishing at all.

Terrible experience. Dam is almost completely covered in grass. They assure you that its only at the the top, but its not. Impossible to fish. Do not visit and pay the entrance fee until they made sure to clean their dams.

The putt putt course is poorly maintained, restaurant is closed during the busiest time of the year. The staff are constantly policing the fisherman for barbless hooks, they checked mine 6 times while day visiting. Not a pleasant experience!

Nice outdoor fishing spot with ample casting space. Ideal for family get togethers or solo fishing trips. Visited several times, as much as we love the place, the entrance fee is a bit steep for a whole family/event. Entrance fee per person priced as either fishing or non fishing. They do watch if non-fishers fish and come up to you to remind you. There are lapas at no cost, braai and picnics and gazebo's allowed. There is a shop within Gnu for beverages, there is a kids party place one could hire out, big kids play area with slides, swings, little bicycles, small kids pool, very picturesque.

Wanted to order some lawn dressing and compost after we were happy about the delivery we got in 2022. 1 month after i received the quote (we went on leave) i wanted to get the same confirmed for validity before making the payments. Have sent 2 emails but they don't reply anymore. Update 8/11 A day after my Google complaint i got now an answer on my email. Thanks

Very nice venue with massive grass carp and koi. Unfortunately there is so much grass in the dams that only about 10% is fishable. Way overpriced for what you get.

Great open space, well kept. Toilets very clean. Lovely place to bring the family. Unfortunately we didnt catch any carp as the dam was full of weeds but we were kept busy with the talapias.

Nice place. Strict fishing rules, may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Awesome place to take the family for a day out fishing. Go early to get a spot. They have a restaurant that you can order food and beer from. Found that the entrance is a bit expensive. They have an awesome playing area for the kids and do kids parties. I believe you can catch bass, curper and carp.

Had a wonderful stay, caught some bluegill and bass on the fly. Stayed for the night in the wooden cabin. The atmosphere was great and peaceful. There are 2 dams with bass, trout, kurper and carp. A large play area with a playground makes this place perfect for children.

Wonderful amenities. Peaceful, relaxing and great picnic venue. There are lapas, braai stands, a splash pool and jungle gyms for the kids. Bring your own putter and good balls for putt putt. The entrance fee is reasonable and will stocked dams for the keen fisherman. We will definitely be going again soon.

😐 Some good, some bad. The property is great, nice to be there and to walk around. They've got a variety of animals to keep kids (and adults..) entertained and the nursery section is well stocked with awesome garden stuff. The food wasn't very exciting and table and chair setup is a bit out dated. Ou...

👍 This is a fairly busy place. Not too overly busy but just enough to make me consider calling ahead, before just rocking up. The kids play area is a good place for the kids to hangout at. My only concern was some of the equipment is old and dilapidated. Looks like the stuff that has been thrown out,...
