Being a loyal customer to Denny’s it brings me displeasure to write another terrible review of their restaurant. I brought my children to this location as the one in Orland Park, our usual location is permanently closed. The experience started off fine, but quickly deteriorated as I think it was shift change. There was a Latino (male) Manager who was on duty with literally one server on duty who either was new, or did not know what she was doing. From the unclean common areas to the slow service, this place was a complete disaster in regards to service and the customer experience. Before the main food was even ordered, I informed the server that I did not eat pork due to my religious beliefs and I was offered and assured that I would have turkey bacon only. Once the food arrived and I was eating, I observed a slice of ham under my turkey bacon and immediately made the Latino (male) Manager aware of the matter and was met by attitude and a sense of not really caring, all while debating with me that Denny’s did not sell Pork, which I knew was a lie because unless you ask, all the breakfast items come with Pork meat. After showing the food to the server, even she admitted it was pork and did offer to remake the order which she did. The experience of this location has definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth as this is the second Denny’s that has treated me and or my family as second class customers.

When we got there we were seated right away, but it took our waitress about 20 minutes to even come over and ask us for our drink order. I wouldn't have minded if the place was busy, but it wasn't. Then it took her another 20 minutes to bring back our drinks. All we order was a water and strawberry lemonade. We even had to ask the other waitress to get our waitress and the manager was like she's making your drinks now, The place was freezing cold, people were going back to their cars to get sweaters and jackets. Then it took forever to get our food. Now the other waitress was running like crazy, bringing her orders out and here we still sit waiting. The food was OK, the waitress not so great and even had an attitude, this is a place we mostly like won't be going back to.

Tried to place a take out order over the phone. Apparently you can not make a single substitution when ordering take out. Either the person taking our order didn't know how to use the computer and was too lazy to ask or was just bad at their job, but I have never had this issue ordering in the restaurant. Now, I'm battling stage 4 cancer, going thru chemo and shouldnt be in the restaurant around people and can't get a slam breakfast with no eggs and extra bacon. What a joke!

It was..Delicious, even though the hygiene and condition of the restaurant was questionable. Other than that, the food was served delicious I have no complaints about it!

When we walked in and realized there was only 1 waitress and 1 cook, I was sure our experience would be subpar. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The waitress was amazing and very attentive, despite having several tables to tend to. The food was cooked well. I'm always surprised when someone manages to cook over medium eggs correctly. And maybe it is my sleep deprivation from traveling, but their coffee cups were hilarious.

First time going to Dennys as we live pretty close for years and we never gave it a chance. We ordered crepes and it was the most gross looking waste of money. It was so bad when we called to let someone know, and the person working said she doesnt know how to process a refund, and she is busy, when she told us we were arguing about something that was inedible. They never called us either about the so called refund. It was so terrible we drove to Boilingbrook IHOP as we usually go to because there is no comparison. There was no fruit to even put inside this $20 "crepe meal". You can see the comparison from IHOP. Never again. Believe the reviews.

I just ran in here for my free triple double slam breakfast for my birthday and it is amazing. I am just about done and the pancakes and sausage and eggs were all perfect. They gave me plenty of syrup and butter which was nice. The service was great and the employees were very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this Denny's is open 24 hours. The waitress who mixed my chocolate milk did a really great job. Yum. 😃

Pancakes were good, not perfect but good. Service was okay at first. But the server got more and more bothered by our requests. Even rolled her eyes when we were given the wrong amount of drinks.

Family friendly atmosphere. The menu was great. They have fun little icons that says which meals have at least 20g of protein! I haven't gone here in awhile but portions are what I would expect from a Denny's, only ok, but hey at least the meals are slightly better priced than your typical brunch place around here. I went there cuz it was 10pm and they're open 24hrs.

Went to dennys for thanksgiving we arrived there at at 2:24 pm order half zesty nachos mozzarella sticks for our appetizers, took bout 20 mins to get. Ordered our main dishes grand slam, lumberjack, Philly omelet with onion rings. We couldn’t just order sandwiches alone so we had to order the meals for the bourbon burger fries, And the cali sandwich and red mash potatoes. After waiting for 2 hours and they brought us bouboun burger with no bourbon sauce and fries, Philly omelet with no onion rings instead (with hash browns I didn’t want), cali sandwich meal with mash potatoes, no lumber jack meal, no grand slam meal one refill for our group of 3. When we arrived there was only 3 other tables in the dining room and 2 of them had there meals served the 3rd table ended up leaving to go elsewhere the had a table of 6. The staff consisted of 4 wait staff, a cook, a manager when we arrived, when we left there was a shift change. The waiter we had was now in the kitchen cooking and serving, one waitress standing at register, manager not doing anything, not giving orders, not picking up the slack, the cook was steadliy cooking at very slow pace. Our waiter was handling the food and serving it to the customers in the dining room The waitress would stand at register and the go into the kitchen complaining but not doing much of anything else. And the manager on duty well that’s someone who did nothing at all. So in the end we dint get our full order , by the time we did get our partial order in was cold, our son didn’t even get his meal which was the lumberjack, and my husband didn’t get his either which was the grand slam. And when the bill came it was 75 dollars. This by all means was the worse customer service, worst resteraunt to go to on thanksgiving. While we waited for our food 8 more tables walked in. 3 sat themselves since no host sat them while 5 more waited to be sat. This place needs to be restaffed with new management, and maybe they would hire the right people for the job. Hell the kid waiting on us was trying to get the food out to his tables but was getting the orders wrong or incomplete because he was cooking and serving. He did try though in that regard. But he couldn’t keep up with the tables. And the waitress was just a complainer not trying to help him keep up his tables. The cook got overwhelmed with takeout orders, and lost track of the dining room orders. We would not recommend this place,to anyone under the present management.

Having hypertension, a person can taste sodium more. If the first thing you taste is sodium then there is too much of it. That's what that oven baked Mac n cheese tasted like. The first bowl they gave me was cold, then I didn't eat the second bowl because it tasted salty. The coffee was not hot. Other than that, everything was fine.

Atmosphere is friendly, lots of local people go there everyday. I had the perfect breakfast. Eggs bacon hash brown and pancakes. Everything was cooked the way I liked it. I had the hostess compliment the cook. If you do a good job you needsome recognition.

It was the worst place to have dinner. It took Two hour to get are dinner and the customer were joking about that we will be here till new years. They were not busy. They run out of food and then tell us till we wait an hour later. I know it is was Thanksgiving but I think they didn't care. The manager finally put a note on the door saying that they were closing at ten o'clock. I can understand why people were walking out. The manager did not care. I will not go back anytime soon. They need better manager. We were traveling an we were finding a place to eat before we got to the hotel. I hope other people found out were to eat that walk out. One couple was going to the movies because they had food. I understand why a lot of restaurants closed because they don't care about there customers. I hope things change before you have to close. I will not tell anyone to go there for awhile. I hope this help do better. I love the food but don't want to have to wait two hour for food and drinks.

Kudos to the cook and the server since they were the only two staff in the whole place. The manager wasn't even there to help even though there was only one waiter. We had to wait two hours after we arrived to eat. And the server was running around to all the tables doing her best and she was working the night shift since it's a 24 hour spot. Even then she had a positive attitude and handled everything very well. The cook was back there by himself and was able to make our food really well. Shame on the manager for leaving them in such working conditions!

The food was terrible here! We ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and they used unripe bananas. Ok no big deal I just took it up and the manager said she would take it off. The server never came back until the food arrived so I couldn’t tell her about it. I ordered Salmon and that was a big mistake! It came so over cooked it was like rubber and I couldn’t eat any of it. I’m not just being picky this was terrible! I told the waitress when she brought the bill because again we hadn’t seen her until it was time for the bill and she went to go talk to manager. I figured I would just take the plate up there so the server didn’t have to go back and forth since it seemed the manager wasn’t going to come over and as I went up I heard the manager rudely tell the server “well bring me up the salmon then!” You could clearly see I had not eaten any of it but the broke it apart a bit trying to find out if it was salvageable or not. She told me “I’ll take it off go sit down” in a rude way! I was not being rude to her in any way nor did I have an attitude! I just didn’t want to pay for something I couldn’t even eat then she didn’t take the smoothie off and I had to address that. The carelessness of this place is unbelievable! Take a little pride in your cooking. No one at our table was really happy with their food but we didn’t bother them with the other stuff. Honestly I’m wondering how long they had the salmon because it was super pale as well. Anyway we will never dine at that location again. The staff acts as if you are a bother and the food sucks. Also it was 5:30 when we were there and when I asked about the soup the server glanced behind her and said we only have like half a bowl left. You couldn’t even see the soup from where we were smh

Ordered a $12 sandwhich that had 1/16 of a piece of bacon broken up on it. Fries were disgusting- asked the manager about the bacon that was advertised on the sandwhich ( super bird) and her response was.. I can get you more bacon.. then brought me a plate of bacon after my sanwhich was gone. Not even an apology. Have no idea how this location stays open- we used to love the Orland one but this one is pretty awful.

We were here on a Saturday night and there was ONE waitress working by herself. I also noticed only only cook. I felt so bad for them! The place was filled and there was a manager sitting in the back doing nothing. Maybe she should spend that time bussing tables or hiring employees.

We went in late. The overnight guys are phenomenal. The chef/cook took his time making the food to perfection. Usually restaurants like this are commercialized and overrated. These 2 overnight guys had a work charisma like no other. They worked in sync. Waiter paid attention to the guests. We ordered a sampler platter. Everything was crispy, hot, and wonderful. Both of us ordered the brisket sandwiches. One of each. Again amazing. Food was so good we left a tip for the chef/cook as well.

Coffee served to us was cold. When we pointed that out and requested new cups, we did not get additional creamers when the new cups came out and the server never came back to refill our drinks. There were three people in our party but we only received 2 sets of utensils and had to ask for the 3rd. These are basic customer service requirements that were missed. I will not be returning to this Denny's location- their staff needs to take lessons from the Denny's location in Oak Park, IL.

I don't like to give one stars and I have given this place more than once chance but once again we were completely ignored and not even sat. We waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes and there were empty tables everywhere so it wasn't because they didn't have room. Literally just ignored when the sign said see hostess to be seated. WHAT HOSTESS???? Sorry Dennys, you got great food but the service at this location always sucks.

Service was good. It was open late for a quick bite to eat. My palate no longer desire Dennys style meals. I used to LOVE their nachos, but they no longer give chicken as the protein topping.

The waitress and hostess (or whatever you would call the lady who asked how many were in our group) were rude and had snarky annoyed comments. We waited 30 mins to be seated and then another 15 mins just to get our menus. Total time here was 2 hours. Unfortunately due to flash flooding, the whole interstate being at a standstill, and other circumstances, this was our only choice to eat. If this had happened any other time or day, we would have immediately left when we talked to the first lady. The only reason I an giving 2 stars is because the food was good and the prices were decent.
