I don’t like it. I think it's very ordinary, there is no dish that can surprise me! I am disappointed because my expectations were high. Not bad, but not worth the trip. Restaurant is beautiful, service good. That’s all.

I hesitated to rate our dinner experience at Alain Ducasse restaurant Le Louis XV at Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo the capital of Monaco Rating awarded restaurant with a 3 stars Michelin it is not an easy challenge… But hey why not after all this is my personal opinion based on my experience and I would like to share it. We booked a month before traveling from Miami Florida and we paid an advance deposit of €200 to guarantee our table and we were very excited to be there even my wife got a new dress for the dinner occasion which was our first time eating at 3 Michelin stars restaurant The dining area is super nice and super luxurious with service area placed in the center which I found practical to be in better control of the dining area service but this didn’t help many of the waiters who passed by and never presented the menu until we requested the menu 4 times! Otherwise the service was good professional and friendly and the butler she was excellent We choose to order out of the chef menu because the dinner set for €350 per person didn’t have meats option so we choose our appetizers and added the meats for an extra of €320 which we still in the €1000 budgeted for the dinner and that including the wine and desserts The appetizers was really good and made with top quality fresh ingredients but when we got the meats which took long time to be served it was terrible and not good in all aspects!!! Incredibly dry and hard to eat until I called the waiter and he noticed the problem and took it away and suggested chicken instead which was ok but nothing special and I ate little and my wife didn’t. Honestly in this place we enjoyed the appetizers and the desserts and the sitting and the service Hopefully that Monsieur le Chef Alain Ducasse will better instruct his chefs to do better.

Incredible food and the best service I ever received in any restaurant in the world. I think me and my two sons for dinner had 5 different people attending to us. We did not do the tasting menu but order appetizers and meals, but they kept bringing us food, lol.the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous in itself as well. The gift after dinner they give you was also a nice surprise. The bill was surprisingly less expensive then I expected, considering this is one of the best restaurants around. Will definitely return!!

А chic classy restaurant, located in a nice beautiful hotel. Has 3 Michelin stars, BUT to be honest, comparing to other 3-star restaurants, the Louis XV restaurant should have been limited to 2 stars maximum. The reason I believe they got their third star - is the location in this wonderful hotel and the unique atmosphere of the country Monaco! -Presentation and serving of dishes are interesting, but almost without explanations and descriptions, something rapidly told in a non-understandable speech. They say that and that’s all, nothing like “Bon Apetit” or “Enjoy your main course”. -There is almost no attention from the service side to the guest during dinner, + only refreshing of water worked properly. -Taste qualities of dishes don’t evoke vivid sensations, tastes of dishes are very similar to each other. 18.11 Really appreciate the restaurant’s manager Ms.Sonnet got back to me regarding the review. I’m glad you care about customers and work hard to become better. Thank you and hopefully my honest opinion just helped in improving the restaurant’s wellbeing and service. Will be happy to visit Le Louis XV again.

My friends and I stopped in and all agree it was the most phenomenal dining experience of our lives. Every detail mastered, every flavor balanced, every portion measured, and every member of the staff with exemplary service. Without question worth the price.

Very good dining experience. The place is smart and elegant and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. All the ingredients are in to spend a wonderful moment. Waiters are very kind and professional. Cuisine is a bit old style but very well-executed.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic at Le Louis XV. From the Amuse Bouche to the final petit fours each course was graciously served and sumptuous to taste. The multiple choices of bread, sparkling waters, and actual tea leaves, cut freshly from tea plants in front of us, for our tea service, were above and beyond what one normally experiences in a fine dining restaurant. I highly recommend, Le Louis XV!

I frequent the Hotel and typically prefer private dining. This was not an issue for the restaurant. They are beyond hospitable and I couldn't be convinced to dine anywhere else. The staff was attentive and genuine. The food I will never forget and my husband enjoyed that there was quality in every aspect of our stay and dining experience.

Gamberoni with caviar 3/5 stars - if gamberoni means tiger prawns, these must be kittens. Tiny, not fresh. The jelly was unspectacular, and the sauce underneath left a fishy aftertaste, so there was a conscious decision to make the dish taste fishier. The combination of the components was worse than the individual parts. The only thing that tasted good here was the caviar. I would have preferred 116 euros of caviar to eat on grocery store crackers instead of this dish. Spaghetti with aubergine 4/5 stars - my favorite part was the toasted part on top, which I think might have been the aubergine, or a bread. The rest was fairly basic, unimpressive pasta, too salty, and when you lift the pasta, there’s a puddle of grease. Not cool. Fish and squid with baby zucchini and cabbages in basil sauce (forgot the full name because they did not let us keep a menu) 5/5 stars - this was the highlight of the meal. It was truly one of the best things I’ve had in my life. The vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly. There was good seasoning on the seafood. The sauce was incredible, at least to me because I enjoy basil. Rum baba cake 2/5 stars - I don’t understand this dish. It’s just an unimpressive sponge cake as a receptacle for whiskey. The whipped cream you put on top was nice, but otherwise I would have preferred straight whiskey. The cake itself had almost a stale texture. I was not impressed with the other desserts either. They got the entree right, which I guess is the most important part, but 1 out of 4 is pretty bad odds. Not impressed with this level of inconsistency. Also the service was horribly slow, not because of the staff which were friendly, humorous, and quick to take away plates, but because the kitchen can’t even get their act together to make these plates that overall weren’t even that impressive. I’m taking 20-30 minute waits between each course of a set menu. It took 3.5 hours to bring out the above, totally ridiculous. Overall mediocre for the price tag. I would have given it 2 stars if not for the exceptional entree.

Le Louis XV by chef Alain Ducasse is located in Hotel de Paris. This unique restaurant has been awarded many times and currently has 3 Michelin stars. The restaurant has a limited number of tables in a small area but the ceiling is high and stylish. I can say that this restaurant provided the best service among the restaurants I have been to in my life. The staff were professionals and knew every detail on the menu. We tried the agape menu. The chef also had surprises so the tasting journey was 3 hours. To be honest the plates looked better than it tasted. Some flavors were too strong and we could not eat some of the dishes. It's pricey but worth a visit once. Overall it was an interesting experience.

Trying my luck for lunch, entering the terrace restaurant of this imposing Hotel de Paris in Monte-Carlo and being welcomed by very friendly staff. Although without reservation an challenge, they managed a table outside. The decoration outside is very simple, the view impressive. Surprisingly the food was not completely meeting the high expectations. The food is good, very good, however not mind-blowing good. Was not expecting to have a chicken curry where I still needed to peel off the skin of the chicken, however all very tasteful. The deserts are not only beautifully prepared and decorated, they are definitively worth a try! The decoration inside is something what can be described as mesmerizing and very rich in terms of architecture and decoration. This (terrace) restaurant is must-have for anyone who wants to experience the ultimate feeling of luxury, enjoying a beautiful view and being served by professional and friendly staff. Prices are high as expected, however not outrageous when you´re not going for the high-end wines, etc.

We've been to this restaurant 20 years ago and it was great, so we returned. The ambiance is elegant, but the food was below all expectations. Absolutely tasteless, poorly presented and with no imagination or innovation. The price (which it doesn't matter if all is great) which is high, and I would recommend you keep a huge distance from Le Louis XV... It's not worth even ONE star!

I was surprised by the amount of food. Make sure you’re hungry. The courses and snacks were inventive and fun. The pasta with wild mushrooms was outrageously good. The steak was just ok, not a lot of flavor. The wild yeast bread they served with homemade butter was absolutely perfect. Very tasty. The dessert of rhubarb had lots going on and each bite was wonderful.

We had been at this place in the past and the first thing we did when we visited Monaco again was to enjoy the pleasure to eat at this restaurant. Everything is perfect. First of all, the food of course, which is out of this world, the atmosphere which is great and the service which is also exceptional. You feel great and you just want to enjoy the moment. The wine list is exceptional as well. Very nice evening.

The setting is breathtaking, the service is impeccable, and the food is great. The gamberoni caviar dish is a must have. This was the highlight of my trip to Nice and Monaco. The flavours are natural and delicate, which may not please people who like more intense dishes. That said, a must visit for fine-dining lovers.

Absolutely top notch. Well deserving of the 3-Star designation. Fancy as they come, but coupled with the extremely personalized service that you would expect with a 3-Star. We felt warm and at home. The wine pairing is 10/10 - best I've ever had. Really beyond words excellent. The house made gluten free bread was amazing. I was so appreciative of this. The head chef is the kindest chef I've ever met. We felt so welcome. This is one tasting menu that I believe is worth visiting all over again. I will be back next time I'm on the Riviera.

Highest experience. Varieties of tastes, harmonies, poetry, textures... Excellent wine pairing, (I am not conoscieur of French wines, but their somelieurs did good job). It was a 2 1/2 long experience of beauty of tastes and excellence in service. The cost is as expected for this tyoe of restaurant, but it makes sense, since one can tell that they use highest quality ingredients and have a lot of people who work for this unique pleasure. Recommended 100 percent.

Everything from the moment you step in it’s an experience, huge round table, as a fan of table distance it was a dream. Service is absolutely something I have never experienced in any other restaurant of the West World. Level of food is astounding, nothing is left to chance, every detail, the position of every item of the table it’s a dance that the expert staff performs like a unique entity. Love their uniform too. The downside is that you will receive so much attention and information about what is displayed that if you don’t like to be interrupted you will not be pleased. I believe it was a true luxury to experience a dinner in this historic magical ballroom with someone special.

Probably the best service I’ve ever come across. The food is of course amazing, and they gave the women a little gift bag to go (a delicious muffin) which was a very nice detail. Very very expensive but as expected.

The best dining experience ever, absolutely worth it, everything was great : food , desserts , wine, service, atmosphere. Especially was surprised by the amount of portions, by my experience Michelin star restaurants most often serve 1 little piece of something on a big plate haha , here I couldn’t finish my second course , even though it was delicious ! Thank you

Our accommodation was close by and so we decided to give it a try. It's a great value for your money, the portions are well sized, and the taste of food really blew my mind. Can’t speak highly enough of the team - so welcoming - they made us feel comfortable and never rushed us even though we ate a late meal. I also loved the décor. Highly recommend.
