My husband and I traveled to Nice for our honeymoon and happened to be the same weekend as the F1 Grand Prix. A quick 30 mins train ride and voila we’re at Monte Carlo. We bit the bullet and paid for tickets at Stand K and let me tell you, this race is an experience of a lifetime. The seats at K specifically overlooking the marina and all the mega boats were docking there for the race. Despite it being a rainy day and race was pushed back nearly an hour since the track was too wet, we had so much fun. Foods and beer were reasonable inside (€4 baguette with fillings, €7 beer). Much cheaper than hand day in the US. The variety was limited inside so we decided to hop out quickly to the market right at the entrance to get into the race stands, and got a fabulous pizza and more beer. Overall, so worth the price and beatific tracks.

The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most famous events in Monte-Carlo. The series of races take place every year in May and the track is well known as, among others, one of the most demanding circuits in Formula One. The race has been operating since the beginning of the 20th century and it is one of the oldest and one of the three most prestigious races in the world alongside the Indy 500 by Indy Car and the 24 hours of Le Mans. The racing event is held on the Circuit de Monaco, a circuit winding through the streets of Monte-Carlo and La Condamine around the harbour, all of which link tight turns in the middle of protective walls. The drivers are faced with narrow streets, with many elevation changes, tight corners and even a tunnel. During the weekend of this event, the Principality of Monaco becomes very busy with all the people who come to see the show. A lot of famous and rich people arrive in Monaco with their private boats and yachts in the harbour. There is also a number of temporary grandstands that are built only for the show and are available for viewing during the race.

Monaco was a very cool place. People were nice and kind to us. Monaco is a very expensive place it self so i would not recomend any purchases to be made there. Walking the F1 track was cool and interesting. Many cool cars also drive the track there and for a car spotter like me it is like heaven.

It’s great to do a track walk, however, you might encounter some difficulties in certain places due to lack of adequate pedestrian space. You should also have a copy of the circuit prior to visiting the roads. Otherwise, if you are an F1 fan, it’s exciting, especially if you stop every so often to see the sights, or just enjoy tbe scenery! If you’re not, it might be a tough sell, especially as there’s some rough uphill sections (though they are typical in Monaco)

An excellent activity to drive the Monaco race track during off season (obviously) if you have driven to Monaco in your own car. You can also hire an F1-type car for the day to drive around. Lots of gorgeous cars about, but very busy roads and many 1-way systems which are quite confusing to navigate. The hairpin bend is a bit of a tourist hotspot, with many people crossing to take pictures, so be careful.

Amazing. Just amazing. Best street circuit on the F1 calendar. Busy and crowded in areas but all part of the experience.

I visited while the track was being setup and had the pleasure of watching the stands and adverts put up. Monaco is an absolute nightmare on a normal day, you can completely forget about doing anything outside of F1 during the two weeks leading up to the race. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place but the Grand Prix makes it impossible to appreciate.

It is of course any racing fans dream to visit the Monaco Grand Prix but I would caution a visit to small doses. I have done 17 Monaco Grand Prix professionally and although there is a general background aura of “This is cool” (egged on by 7 year old me), in reality it’s a real pain. It’s a wonder there have been 79 Monaco Grand Prix because security/staff managing the event still dont seem to know what they’re doing. It’s a mess, and this crucial factor let’s the whole thing down. As a one off on the other hand your mind will be blown by the gravitas of the event to realise. Goto Budapest for the Hungarian Grand Prix instead of you’re looking for a racing getaway. Enjoy

Country No 29 & 30 Monaco & Andorra Two micronations in South of France Monaco is the 2nd smallest country and is border by France . It is a tax free Country with casino and expensive cars . The famous street F1 race hapnes in this country. We don't need separate visas for them and they use Euro. Accommodation is quite expensive with no hostels it is preferred to stay in Nice ( city in France) and do a day trip to Monaco by bus for 1.5euro one way in 40mins. 4-6 hrs is more than enough. Andorra is a mountain country between France and Spain which is also tax free and famous for sking resorts in winter. People go to the capital Andorra la ville for shopping and they use Euros. You can go there either from Barcelona by bus for 3 hrs 30 euros and hostels costs around 20 euros. I have spent total of 20k INR which includes 2 nights stay in nice and Monaco day tour , overnight bus to Barcelona , bus to Andorra and back and 1 night stay in Andorra. On this Europe trip i have been traveling since 108 days and been to 25 European countries which i will tell in a separate post . I have France multiple entry Schengen visa. I won't reply to DM without a proper DP.

After finishing our vacation on the Cote d'Azur, we stopped in Monte Carlo for a day on our way home. We saw this beautiful country and, of course, the race track. We didn't have any problems with parking, and otherwise things are reasonably priced.

Monaco is very unique in all aspects. Luxury does not start to describe what all is. Everything is very expensive but sight seeing is free! Enjoy it to the MAX!

I visited monaco more than five times. It is 30 minutes away from Nice airport. The city is at its best during night. It is easy to see why the rich and famous make Monte Carlo their home. I can't recall ever seeing a more elegant place. The only negative thing is that everything is expansive. It was a great experience to walk through racing track. Can see most expensive cars, hotels and yatches. Monaco is the name of the principality – of the country, if you like. Monte Carlo is the name of one of its five districts. From the warren of Monaco-Ville, with its souvenir shops, stroll through Monaco’s governmental heart to the royal Palace. Get there at 11.55am for the daily changing of the guard on the square in front.

Monaco is unique. On the one hand, there is real glamor and priceless wealth, but on the other hand, a lot of fools and those who would like to present themselves as upper class. Must visit and walk.

Very cool to walk around the track, don’t pay for a tour there’s lots of free guides available. Seeing the curbs, starting grid, podium area, hairpin turns and the tunnel were very interesting in person. The tunnel is right next to the water which I didn’t even realize and the change in elevation is crazy too.
