I am completely disappointed with the stay at this hotel. It is NOT a 5 star hotel! Believe me. - Room: air conditioning is central and does not cool properly. The room cleaning is also not the best it's possible to remain without towels all day. - All inclusive is not all inclusive, breakfast from 6-10, lunch from 12:30-15, dinner from 18-21, without snack or fingerfood. - Food: the restaurants are dirty, the food is bad. Not much choice, the restaurant tables are dirty and the waiter service is TERRIBLE. It only works if you pay for it on the side. The quality of the food is not good either. Drink coffee, water ... in plastic cups. - A la carte dinner: is served on terrace, the selection is less than in the all inclusive restaurant printed on a simple A4 paper - Drinks: it's a joke. All cocktails are the same colour and taste but are horrible, whiskey - vodka also. - Kids club: basically the kids club doesn't exist. There are no toys. There is nothing for the kids to do. - Reception: not friendly, they don’t speak a very good English and not the least bit helpful. They are very not friendly at all. - Check in: the hotel was full and we waited an extra hour. Check in was already late at 2:40pm. There is no concierge to help or guide you. The standard was really disappointing. I will not return to any hotel of the chain because it is far below expectations. This is a not 5 star hotel.

The hotels in SOUSSE are generally all massive concrete structures stemming from the mid 70s and generally offer all-inclusive. The Marriott is also one of these buildings but one of the few hotels to offer B&B. Originally a 2 wing construction built in 1976 Marriott only took over one of the buildings. The other has been left to decay. The facade of the Marriott however doesn’t look much better and seriously needs a new coat of paint. The new and handsome lobby annex however deters from the run down main building. The interior nevertheless is a different story - modern, minimalistic and incorporates traditional Tunisian-Arabic quotation elements very effectively. This is continued in the rooms which are fresh and airy. However despite being titled “Room with Sea View” the main view is the dilapidated shell of the original sister wing opposite. It is a sore sight and a big dampener. Breakfast was good and F&B staff friendly. However many of the advertised restaurants and bars were just not open and running and the buffet dinner was canteen standard. House keeping left much to be desired. On the first day of my stay the room wasn’t cleaned. Generally the carpets in the passages were in desperate need of a vacuum clean. No one seemed to care. Reception staff either had their heads buried in their computers or busy on their mobiles. Disinterested and unmotivated. And then the awful piano playing - the same music loop complete with the same mistakes repeating over and over. Terrible! I am a Marriott tiered member but a room upgrade was refused even though the hotel was running at maybe 10% capacity.

Great hotel and very good service overall. The rooms were well laid out and pleasant. The staff were all very friendly and all inclusive genuinely meant all inclusive. The location is very good with close access to the beach and a 20 minute walk to the centre. The only issue was that the waiters at dinner were a bit slow with drinks and wouldn't come to ask or serve you on a few occasions. The front desk is also a bit slow with checking in and the towel system for the pool is overly complicated requiring cards. They should just give you these at the check in

Stayed here for 5 nights - fairly good location. The breakfast was pretty much the same every day. However, the dinner was decent and there was a good selection of different dishes throughout the stay. The room was a decent size, clean and had the view of the beach from the balcony which was amazing to wake up to every morning. Staff were accommodating as we initially arrived 11pm local time on the first night - they did arrange for some food to our room complimentary which was nice. Any requests we had the staff met overall great stay and would recommend 👍

Meeting the standard of 5 star hotel, I really enjoy during my stay, staff friendly and helpful specially Ms Islam in reception , room clean and big with a great view, breakfast and lunch was so good delicious and variety of foods every things was amazing I’m planning to back again in august. But there is some small details I hope they will take it in consideration Ac not working in reception it’s so hot , spa service very slow always empty no one there after I keep going 5 days every day no one there, beach area not that good it’s mixed with residents and non residents

Honestly i don’t advice anyone to go there specially with the bad customer service and the discrimination you might face … i visit the hotel on 12th February to book for the valentine’s day and to choose the room on spot. The day after we came back with our bags happy and excited, unfortunately they gave us different room with different concept without even the decorations package that we agreed about, even after we call the customer service to solve this issue they didn’t gave any attention and when we asked to return our money they didn’t even try to find solutions and they accepted to returned with disrespect, therefore they didn’t even apologize when we were getting our money on the reception.

Some of the reviews on here are quite harsh. The hotel is actually beautiful! It’s so clean and always smelt good in the public places. The staff were not always so helpful, all depends on who you speak to and if you get lucky. The security at the gate are so helpful and funny, loved them! The room was nice and spacious, but it wasn’t spanking clean & had marks on the wall. The balcony railing looked dirty, which was uncomfortable. Also housekeeping came and cleaned the room but left the bath tub unclean… wasn’t happy about that as it was visibly dirty. The spa & restaurants were lush, but the indoor pool area smelt so bad and the water looked dirty so didn’t go in there and it put me off going in the sauna.

Though some small details could be a bit more polished, the hotel meets Marriott standards. Service from management is excellent. I really enjoyed the breakfast. It was varied with stations for fruit, breads, drinks, hot foods, and made-to-order crepes, waffles, and omelettes. I would recommend.

After spending 3 nights in this hotel I realized it's a 4 stars hotel not 5 at all I am not gonna ignore that it's a really beautiful hotel beautiful reseption and rooms and it's very clean the staff there were so friendly but as a 5 stars hotel I expected much for the food.. There were not that much Choices is basically the same everyday I have been at a 5 stars hotel and everyday I be surprised about the food fish, seafood, steaks, grilled meat everyday a new things but here I didn't see anything more then Chicken. for me 5 stars hotel is basically about the food After all Besides the normal food everything was good

Worst experience since I travel. This hotel is a danger to the public heath. The cleaning in the public area is terrible( gym, sauna , spa center and around the hotel). To reach to the beach hotel u have the cross a street, no cross walk , nothing. It’s about the luck to get there because the street is very busy, nobody from the staff to help you. The beach sun beds are old and dirty, beach bar it’s a joke because they can offer u limited drinks , no food or bytes. The main restaurant offers a very and poor choice of food , be aware because u will find ruin food , no fish, butter, corn flakes banana or fresh juice. We stay seven days and we are forgot how a banana looks)))). Do not go in the spa if u want not to get sick, the walls are grey from fungus and the smell is terrible (no ventilation). Indoor and outdoor pool are not heated and not clean. The surrounding of hotel is disgusting, abandoned buildings, trash on the street and not clean beach. Positive is sea and beautiful sand , but they don’t deserve this kind of things. If want to have a nice and comfortable vacation, don’t choose this hotel, we suffer for 7 days and we pay for this !

Good hotel with everything I needed, Staff were friendly, plenty of food and drink and facilities. The location was good for Sousse and had a good beach spot with Pool. The hotel made you feel safe in a city with a lot going on! When arriving it wasn't quite the 5* experience you are used to like in other destinations considering there weren't that many 5* resorts in Sousse. It all seemed fairly casual, if we phoned reception, we'd never get through, we'd have to always go down. The rooms were basic but clean. Air con worked, which is a bonus because even in some 5* places they don't work. The lobby is nice and comfortable and can take excellent pictures. The food is a little hit and miss and would have rather not done an all inclusive. We tried the space and indoor pool which was nice and worked well. However, I'd rate this more of a 4* hotel and a place to crash rather than a 5* beach resort. Positives: Short walk away from main Sousse town centre. Private Hotel Beach and friendly staff. Negatives: Not as impressive as I thought for a 5* Marriott as it was sold to me in a general sense, that exclusive feeling one gets. Basic room furnishings/hard to get hold of staff using telephone. Food is a bit hit and miss.

We stayed three nights, and I am not entirely satisfied. The hotel is advertised as a 5 star hotel, in reality it is closer to 3. The hotel's indoor pool was not in use, and there were loose tiles. Despite our request, the saunas were off. They told its was broken, but as Finns we knew they were not broken. There is some kind of security show at the hotel entrance. In reality, anyone is allowed through the door and no security checks are carried out. The rooms were in relatively good condition, but the bed creaked and the minibar was empty. Food at breakfast was good, but the buffet during the day was very mediocre. Air conditioner was off and noise from outside traffic qite loud.

For me aside from the nice entrance & the lobby it was a 3 star experience at best. I have stayed in 5* hotels around the world and this for me just wasn’t! We stayed half board, but wish we didn’t. The food for dinner was shocking (dry, very limited choices & didn’t look appetising at all) I didn’t eat! The indoor pool was nice but like I said for the price we paid, we expected a lot more. Will try other hotels in Sousse next time.

I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. Having travelled to Marriott Bonvoy hotels around the world, this hotel shouldnt be part of the group. The hotel lobby is somewhat renovated but not well maintaned (e.g public toilets the locks and doors do not close properly) and the rest of the hotel, from the lift to the corridors to the hotel rooms are very very old with a low level of hygiene. For example some towels were already used with stains on them. On top the breakfast was very very poor on its taste, selection and presentation. Dinner buffet (60 dinar pp) selections were again the same as breakfast... we tried also the MOVENPICK HOTEL buffet (75dinar pp) just down the road and was sooooooooo much better and satisfying in its taste ,variety, presentation in all aspects . The up side to this hotel is that it is next to the beech and currently the only Marriott Bonvoy hotel in the area, so would attract loyal members. Normally when I walk into a Marriott no matter where in the world, there should be a basic level of international Marriott standards, where I feel this hotel is rather local towards the standards of the city (like having a mcdonalds anywhere in the world, it should always have the same taste)

Thank you Mr Walid, GM, and Mr Karim, Front Desk supervisor, who excellently new how to turn around the bad and unrighteous decisions of Mrs Bessma, this being said, I would fully recommend The Sousse Pearl Marriott, not only because it is the best International brand hotel in Sousse, but also because of the excellence inn the implementation of the Marriott procedures, Service wise surpassing by very far the Movenpick Sousse, House Keeping and cleaning staff excellent, beautiful Spa Staff and specially Souhir very guest satisfaction oriented, restaurant waiters outstanding, chef Mohamed Ali goes beyond to satisfy his guests at dinner, and a special thanks to achraf the cashier and placer at the buffet restaurant cleanliness top, very nice rooms, though a recommendation regarding the kitchen staff at the breakfast spots ...A smile would be very appreciated, a knowledge of the vocabulary of what you are preparing is key to satisfy your guest, sunny side up means sunny side up, omelette baveuse means baveuse...and Dorra try not to be mean in the Morning with the guests please...Try to place professional and happy people at direct contact with the public, last thing, try to work on the buffet, more quality would be certainly appreciated, pasta based, chicken, farm fish or turkey all the time ?...Nonetheless, for us it is by far the best premise in Sousse, and we will, for sure, fully recommend this beautifull stay, indeed we will certainly be back in the near future, when we are around Sousse...Keep it up guys, good job...

Discrimination against muslims in this hotel, keep away. Called and confirmed before booking this hotel that Burkini is allowed in their hotel. They said it will not be a problem. Day one and my wife uses their pool, when a personnel comes over and tells my wife she Cant use this pool with burkini. They said she could use the other pool down stairs, that were used mainly by children. Talked with the manager, and he tried to make excuses about having different concepts in the pools, which was just a really bad excuse... We checked out the same day.

Dear All, we had a really great time at the Sousse Pearl Marriott Resort & Spa, thank you to the entire stuff. Everyone was very friendly and professional. We book the ALL INCLUSIVE package and we were amazed about the creativity of the Food and Drinks they offered. In Souse, as we as well had a look at other Hotels like the Mövenpick Hotel, we need to say, Sousse Pearl Marriott Resort & Spa ist the best. Just a small thing they should change is the Beach Area and the access to this area. Easily that could be much nicer looking as they know how to decorate and treat the guests on a high level. Two of the stuff members, we would like to mention especially, Mr. Fethi Boussaa & Moutia Ben Romdhone, as they were always taking care of us, no matter how stressful it was or how many guests they would need to serve. Thank you guys, for giving us a unforgettable memory in you country. For us we will definetly recommend the Sousse Pearl Marriott Resort & Spa. Thank you so much Kind regards Shirley de Guzman & Martin Langer from Cologne Germany

I will give 2 stars for the design only, staff is rude, service is bad and the quality of the food is not for a 5 stars hotel at all. Music is super loud at night. Location very loud very crowded and you can not rest. Very disappointed from our stay and Marriott not solving those issues, I won’t come again.

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of September. The check-in process was smooth and very quick. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a partial sea view. The room was very clean and a super comfy bed. The room was very spacious and a fair size balcony. The buffet restaurant was well stocked for all meals with quite a variety of food. Certain times of day it would be busy, we noticed 9am to 9.30am, 1pm to 2pm and around 8pm to 9pm. Before or after this, not many people around. The bars were very good with very quick service. The pools were very good, and having just an adult pool was great. There are plenty of sunbeds to go around, but if you want a good spot, you need to get there before 10 am. The beach is across the road with its own private area and beach bar. Also, there are plenty of sunbeds to go round here, too. Would say this is more of a 4.5* hotel as it didn't quite tick all the boxes for 5*. The location is good as only 40 min from the airport and a 20-minute walk to Sousse centre along the promenade.

We arrived at 2pm right at the checkin time. The staff at the reception seemed disorganized and not very friendly even rude when we started complaining about the long wait. It turns out room cleaning becomes a bottleneck when this hotel is full. However, the receptionist came up with an issue in our booking to justify our wait. We were told we got a twin bed room instead of double which required several phone calls to be resolved. Other than the terrible checkin experience, I don't think this hotel can be rated 5 stars. To keep it short here are few bullet points of what's lacking * Parking was uncovred and very crowded, cars parked on sidewalks. No valet service * In a double bed standard room for 2 adults, you only get 2 mid size towels. No follow up when we asked for more * The hotel is advertised for SPA but no bathcloth or slipper in the room. * Access to indoor pool and sauna was included but no changing room. Floor was dirty, shower needed maintenance * Only 3 elevators for max 2 persons each. Expect long wait ! * Mini bar was empty, the fridge in the room was not cooling On the flip side here are the few positive points : * Good breakfast * Main restaurant staff were kind and freindly * Room service was prompt

Very nice hotel but not five stars. First of all, there wasn’t even a big enough parking lot for our car to park. We had to park on the street. Also, the cafeteria was so full one morning they told us there was no space and we had to wait for breakfast. There were so many children running around the hotel. Our children are older and we had a nice time, but it’s definitely a family friendly place with little kids ruling the pool. The staff was wonderful, but we will choose another spot next time we come to Sousse.

Excellent hotel, service was exceptional above and beyond, multiple languages spoken by everyone ,clean tidy not a bit of dirt/dust anywhere.fresh food every service and felt super safe in hotel ,if you did have a problem it was dealt with straight away .would go back in a heartbeat 5 out of 5

Great view of the beach & just across the road. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good food, good drinks. The pools are small but very well maintained. The pool bar could do with more staff but it is the end of the summer season.

Workers in the hotel, very friendly and helpful. The buffet was excellent throughout the day( breakfast, lunch and dinner). I recommend staying in the hotel if you wanna walk and discover the city of Sousse.

AMAZING; VERY CLEAN; COMFORTABLE BEDS; EXCELLENT HAPPY, HELPFUL STAFF; FOOD IS SUPERB!!! This hotel is the best I've stayed in so far. I have ruptured discs in my back and hotel beds usually give me bother, so a great night sleep makes a big difference to your day am booking again it's such a nice relaxed atmosphere during the day but stuff to do if you whant to. The executive chef Kareem is such a lovely person. And bar staff and the waiters Mohammed and Ahmed so attentive to detail. (All the staff very happy and helpful) The housekeeping is 10/10 everyday if you like, your room cleaned and replenished to high standard...I really love this hotel and it location on the beach the views are amazing.

Nice hotel near the sea! The rooms are big but the furniture is a bit worn out! The Spa is great, really affordable and well-done massage, the pool is big, very diverse breakfast buffet! Staff is nice and helpful!

Stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. The biggest disappointment was the standard of the rooms which is no more than 3*. The shower is extremely dirty with mould around it, broken tap, sink drainage is extremely slow and can cover flow, no extraction fan which results in having a very steamy shower. We have not had a single good night sleep as the air conditioning doesn’t work well, very hot and humid rooms (29c daytime and 23c during the night) and kept being told by reception they will send a fan only to find out after chasing they don’t have any and are trying to source one for the past 4 nights - still waiting! Rooms are not soundproof, very noisy! Restaurant staff is amazing, hotel is generally very clean with good amenities, food is very nice but the rooms, house keeping and reception service via telephone definitely needs improvement!

  • 3/5 Wojciech B. 6 months ago on Google
No air conditioning, windows with street view so noisy when you sleep with open window. Medium level buffet dinner menu - good that is a good restaurant just an opposite side if the street - d’escargot. Breakfast not bad. Out of season is normally quite boring. That area is many bars so you can find some evening entertainment. No sea beach direct access. Rather clean hotel.

  • 3/5 Ian L. 6 months ago on Google
Rooms are large and clean, very good. Price decent. Breakfast pretty good. Main issue is air con not cold enough. I set 18, but room very warm and never went below 22. Shower head switch could not turn. Both indoors and outdoor pools quite clean and beautiful water. Spa: good massage but too short. If I pay for 1 hour, I don't expect it cut short 20 minutes. 5 or 10 minutes at most. I don't expect to relax by myself 20 minutes when I pay for the hour.

  • 4/5 Sergey C. 11 months ago on Google
Not ideal air conditioning and WiFi. Sometimes forget to top up tea or change towels. All inclusive not includes the espresso coffee! Included is an instant coffee from a machine where is no coffe at all, by the taste. No minibar. No work table. The rest is just fine! I liked my stay despite all.

Being a platinum member I can tell : very professional staff - kind and friendly .. working at the level of an international hotel chain which is not common in Tunisia.. Very neat and clean room .. all the common space is beautiful and well maintained.. they have an adult only pool where u can relax - bringing attention to two things - the beach is very dirty and not cleaned at all - and the pool is not temperature controlled which is not comfortable with the rising temperature of the season - many thanks to all the staff and cheers to the hard work naming Mr Fawzi.

Very nice hotel. We spent an amazing holidays. The service and food were great. Unfortunately the AC in the reception and in the restaurant were too low making the atmosphere uncomfortable. I hope the management will improve this important point.

Waiting staff at the restaurant are phenomenal. Very attentive and go above and beyond to ensure you as the customer have the best experience. Guest relations are also very helpful there was a minor issue that they worked extra hard to fix in a very timely manner. Cleanliness throughout the hotel has room for improvement. They tried to charge me on the way out for laundry service which I have never used. When I told the front desk they asked me to write a note next to the charge saying it wasn’t mine.

Everyone must try chef karim at opus. What an outstanding chef he is. I don't have words to describe the taste he has been blessed with. Had a 5 star experience at opus due to chef karim. We probably went 3 times and ordered room service once too.. each time it was exceptional. I'll be a regular at opus when I return to sousse.. thank you so much chef for the new flavour experienced with a high class service well done to you 👏

Staff are tired from working 12-14 hour shifts some you can just tell they are exhausted but carrying on for the sake of having to provide for family etc. So sad to see an organisation as large as Marriot hotel is not following ethical employment laws purely due to non regulation out of the UK/EU or USA. The rooms are good bed is great but definitely not 100% cotton. A few touches that they skipped has let them down such as to be rated as a 5* in my opinion: -AC not cold or not working -Paintwork on balcony peeling -No door handle on Patio from outside to pull close -90% off staff are unable to speak in English especially the restaurant crew -Bathroom tap - water splashes out the sink when on slow to medium pressure and literally your clothes are then wet -Cupboard smells when you open (next to kettle stand) -Bins provided is a big no for a 5* rated hotel pic attached. -All inclusive bar is very limited and the fruit juices are cheap and horrible to drink in fact I took a couple of sips and had to hand them back to be wasted down the sink. The main one for me is they don’t have Orange Juice for breakfast??? Anywhere within the hotel. Still lacking the international hotel touch‼️ Now bear in mind I am being very picky with the above and had to think hard to list them issues above! Other than this it’s a great location Food is decent everyday at the all inclusive restaurant Can’t go wrong
