Inside look of the modern architecture of the early 1960ties. Our 1ste presidents taste was modern. You will find similarities in style like the '58 World Expo in Belgium. A lot of automatisation, closest and cabinets that fold away. Take a look in his personal wing and his business area. See his 1 of 5 Mercedes 600 Limousine. Museum is not visited often, a lost treasure that is open for public. Price is for only a small fee less than 10 dinar you can travel back to the 60ties and stand where the founding father of Tunesia stood.

Another place with potential but that is almost completely discarded and not cared for, unfortunately. But there are beautiful views, like those on a small fishing coast with floukas (small boats)

(Translated by Google) A distinguished place with distinctive memories for each of its visitors, and its characteristic as well. He is the leader of the late Habib Bourguiba, who was credited with continuing and advancing Tunisia. He died and left much of the heritage that reflects the era of Rawda Bourguiba and this place. The Tunisian people also honored him, and a similar symmetry was erected for him, such as this statue in Monastir, Sousse, and in other countries. Yes, he's the leader.

Very pleasant, I like history and there was a lot to see, the employee that walked us round (which we didn't expect) was very knowledgeable telling us what importance everything and every picture was, he took photos of us and pointed out intricate details, gave us stories and was very flattered when we tipped him for his effort. Short and sweet but recommendable

(Translated by Google) A place witnessing an era of grandeur of the Tunisian Republic. Avant-garde architecture and program for 1962! A palace built in the finest materials, including rare marbles and exotic wood species. With all the technological comfort of the time (electric shutters, sliding doors in the walls). Surprises are also to be seen, in particular the walls covered with leather, other mirrors or handcrafted tapestries. What beauty and magnificence. It is a pity, however, that the gardens are abandoned, as well as the fountains (including a musical fountain!) Surprising frescoes by Chemlas and Gorgi decorate the walls of the gardens.

Presidential villa of over sixty years ago, what do you expect... Must have been impressive at the time, with all its bronze and marble and crystal, but today I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it. Needs urgent renovation to bring back some of the splendor it once had.

While time and a lack of upkeep has not been kind to this private museum, when you have had your fill of Roman ruins and Ottoman forts, this riotous glimpse into late 50s/early 60s design is a spectacle in all the best ways! Tapestries! Stained glass! Leather walls! Massive presidential portraits! Original fixtures! His and hers master suites! An octagonal salon! And oh, the colors!

(Translated by Google) beautiful palace. I have often heard about this house of the former president bourguiba but I did not imagine how fantastic it is. From the entrance you feel in full 90's. With both an old air and a modern architecture this palace projected me in an unforgettable dream. I felt the soul of the ancient inhabitants present in the decor and the walls. Too bad the rooms are forbidden to access by a barrier. I would have liked to sit on one of these armchairs or bourguiba was resting. Her daughter hajer's room is simple, luxurious and comfortable at the same time. What I admired is the sublime marble and granite of the floor and walls. The tub is of a style that I have never seen in granite that resonates with the finger. I imagined for a moment lying in the bathtub full with the sound that resonates like music drops falling water. I looked at the lavatory faucets they are still like new, in bronze. Everything was original and I think the architect who designed this building was a grandiose one. I encourage all history buffs to go there. Another daydream I did on the panoramic roof ... (Original) superbe palais.
