Beautiful scenic drive leads you up to the highest point in the Algarve. I'm pretty sure you can see as far as Quarteira or possibly Faro on a clear day, which is about 40 miles away. Stunning views. Can be a little cold or windy so take a sweater. Place to grab a coffee at the top, but I prefer the cafe in the centre of Monchique. And some gift shops and things too.

Well worth the drive up. 3000 ft up with great views to the coast. Cafe, shop and souvenir shop. There was even a rock band playing when we went there! Carry on up past Monchique and keep going to the top. Great hour or two up there relaxing

Big open space on top of hill. You can see the ocean and rolling hills. The drive up there is by winding roads and steep cliff's Realy fun, glad I did not choose the bike tour

Amazing views of the Algarve and lovely walks. Even though it was quite busy it was easy to find a peaceful spot to enjoy the view, drink in the scenery and listen to the birds. We had a drink at the cafe and a wander around the craft gift shop before winding our way back down to Montes Novos where we were staying. It was a very hot day, 32c so we stopped on the way up and the way down to fill our drinking bottles with fresh clear cold water from the font, it tasted wonderful and all the locals come to fill their containers daily as it's so good! Highly recommended a visit to both.

Make sure you visit on a clear and bright day as it is all about the view. Nice to have a bite to eat or drink in the cafe and some good artisan crafts available. If you walk along the paths looking away from the coast there are some lovely views there too.

Fantastic! Drive up the roads from the west. Beautiful terraced houses and farms. 360 degree views. Fantastic local crafts and gifts at the top and a nice little cafe. Plan for a small beer or coffee and some relaxing.

Saw it during a boat tour. Cool things. In and out of caves. Rock formations had never imagined! Yes the beach was nice as well. A great part of the experience! However a tad bit too cool for beach but people were in the water
