I used to really like value village but the prices have gone from questionably high to ludicrous. Footwear that has been heavily used and abused is priced at nearly have the retail price! There are still some gems to be found for sure but the prices and they way that the company fronts itself as a charity leave me looking elsewhere for thrift finds. I would recommend donating your gently used clothing and household items to another group like the Sally Ann or Habitat for humanity.

I usually go to the V.V. in Bridgewater but I happened to be in the Valley so went to the one in New Minas. Bridgewater's staff is excellent. New Minas? Not so much. Just lousy attitudes. I spend at least $400 a month at V.V. (150. alone at New Minas, a few days ago). Mind you, it doesn't matter how much a person spends, we ALL deserve to be helped with a smile and consideration.

Busy store, easy to navigate, great selection of dinner ware, kitchen appliances, gadgets. Good selection of clothes, most prices range $3 to $14 on woman's clothes; not a great selection of furniture but could have been the day. Easy drop off of donations, receive a 20% off coupon for donations. Store was average cleanliness. Self check out and regular checkout available. No problem for parking.

Value village used to be a great place to find bargain second-hand clothes. Now you're paying almost new retail prices in most cases. Great business model, because the store is usually pretty filled.. but I probably won't be shopping there. Frenchy's is a much better option for bargains and thrift shopping.

Lots to look at, friendly staff & they now have a self check-out option. Some items seem to be priced based on the brand name without really considering the overall condition of the item.. So if it has a high-end brand name, even though the item may have stains or a torn seam or missing a zipper, you are paying up for it. I honestly do not want to pay $25-$30 for a used jacket or jeans.. even in great condition.. I go to thrift stores to get great deals as I think most shoppers do.

Can find some good deals. Prices are a little high on some things. Expect to pay roughly 30% of new price for things.

Prices are comparable to sales in stores..for ex..a small cushion for used dirty dining roomchair cushion 9$ with taxes in vases 20 to 30$ .don't even look at a shirts or dresses... ...Now they have only one check out if you need help or use that stuff called real money.
