Unexpected great trip, I didn't know anything about the ferry but it was a great experience. Good food, plenty of good seating, nice bar with entertainment, good lounge and pleasant crew. Voyage was very smooth, left and arrived exactly on time. Didn't stay in cabins but got to view the two options. 1st sleeps 4 with 2 single beds and two drop down beds like train bed $40. 2nd $50 had a queen bed and a futon with TV. Either would be worth it for the crossing. Both have toilet, sink and a full shower. Great value for the price. If I go again I will book a 50 suite.

Boat seemed new. Lots of seating options. Cabins are economical and made the trip better for the kids.

If I could rate 0 I would. This boat cannot handle 15 km winds. Wife has been stuck right directly beside the PEI dock for over 24 hours. With no food and not to mention nothing to warm them up. Get somebody to help these people there is babys crying on board jesus christ guys. Also tried to get ahold of customer support for updates but they seem to be closed. What a shame

Absolutely disgusting! I’m not sure what’s going on with CTMA but they are terrible to deal with. A reservation was made (to walk on) for December 24th, we received a text stating that it was changed to leave earlier (10am). We left Charlottetown early enough to make it for 9am (unfortunately once on the road we ended up being 15 mins delayed). We received a call at 905 saying that the boat was leaving right then. We explained that we were only 10 mins away, but they refused to wait. (We arrived at 915, 10 mins after the call). They gave us absolutely no heads up about the change and refused to wait. They should have informed the people who had reservations in advance, not as the boat was pulling out of the harbour

CTMA is pretty organized. Easy on, easy off the ship. However, their new ship was broken so we had to use like a 50 year old ship on the journey to the Magdalene Islands. That is really the only thing that moves it back to 4 stars. Otherwise great ferry!

We ended up being on a long delay (14 hours) on our return crossing last Saturday (August 5th) and all I can say is the staff were all class acts, very nice, calm and professional. Considering some of them were going to have to work for over 30 hours, I can't say that it was a bad experience. It's not fun to be delayed or not being able to dock, but as passengers, we get to get off the boat. They don't. So, cudos to the crew.

Great crossing. Beautiful day..I always enjoy a ferry ride ,when I was a kid ,pre-Confederation Bridge,it was probably the best part of the traveling to PEI ,every summer( my dad's from Prince Edward Island) so we'd take the ferry from NB to PEI,that was a 45 minute crossing, now the CTMA is 5 hours and you can rent a berth( a room ) ,if they are available..we have many times ,our crossings are always great ,never the same twice ,there is a cafeteria, but it is all delicious like home cooked meals..there are many different stations ,you can rest there is a place for children,an elevator...It's awesome and I believe that any family going on vacation, should think about Les îles de la Madeleine.... That is my opinion.....😊

Smooth sailing to the islands. Crew were helpful and friendly. We had a much more pleasant experience on this ferry than on the ferry to Nfld. Cafeteria with nice hot meals was open. Lots of room for passengers to roam. That rear sundeck was fabulous! Cabins were nicely appointed. Embarkations and disembarkations were well organized and timely. Thank you CTMA for a pleasant voyage.

Beer is extremely expensive (9$). And when you buy a bottle, they fill a glass for you from the bottle, and they keep the rest of the bottle. So you only get a part of what you pay for. Very rip-off.
